I'm using the trainer successfully now. I 'think' CH has had a little trouble with server congestion this weekend (Sat & Sun, June 8 & 9) that has caused failure to authenticate the trainer before something times out. I've just finished creating CH's offline authentication key which hopefully prevent this inconvenience in the future.

Interestingly, the trainer just authenticated without this key so maybe the 'problem' has fixed itself.

As far as running Red Faction: Armageddon itself it has run well but on my system does freeze up on occasion requiring C-A-D rescue.

Also noteworthy is that THQ is out of business and it is not at all clear at this point if there is _any_ technical support existing for RFA. However, that aside, the game is proving to be a lot of fun with a very novel feature... Building structures that you destroy in the course of killing off various bugs can be and need to be reconstructed to progress--such as stairs you have destroyed but need to access--fun.

our site and many others have been getting DDOS attacks the last 24 hours. You can download an offline key to use when this is occurring.

If there is a way to create a problem I'm good at doing just that.

I run the trainer from the desktop...so I placed the nnnnnn.key file in the desktop with the trainer. Running the trainer produces the normal try for Authentication which a few moments later (45 seconds or so) does authenticate. But I don't think the offline key is working--if it was wouldn't authentication be instant? I tried placing both the trainer and the key file in a folder and that had no different affect. I also tried using the original .key file instead of a copy and likewise that had no different affect.

    Thanks Caliber

Do you still have a working internet connection when launching the trainer? If you're still connected, the trainer will attempt to authenticate online before falling back to an offline key (or sometimes outright fail attempting to connect online). Offline keys were created under the assumption that the computer in question would not have an internet connection at all.

    Your bitterness, I will dispel

Yes, I tested this by unplugging from the Internet and the trainer authenticated immediately. All is well. I tried to post this a little earlier but the Internet was still 'tied-up' again.

    Thank you.
