I dont know if this is a tad too late but the combinations are quite easy and not as random as people make it out to be. to clearly understand this puzzle u will need 2 items. The first is a 4 volume Rune book sold either by the Mage weapons smith or the female mage selling in the same area. buy all 4 books. ( i rolled em dice and used the money to buy the tomes hehehehehe) Anyway now u need the 2nd item. It is not u will find in Philippa's house. It shows 3 diagrams, with Roman numerals for signs at the 5 points. Each diagram represents one of 3 rooms. Now the trick here is to attribute the signs to the Roman numerals. The hint is the volume number of the books. The info in book 1 represents I on the Diagram. That of Book II is II on the diagram. This applies to III and IV. now the rest is simply to follow the patterns shown on the diagram and voila u are done. Hope this helps
