Im curious about how you got a copy of the steam 1.0.5.0. patch, when it seems that nobody has it. The steam forums are ranting on about how the steam version only has 1.0.2.0 as its most recent. Was there a patch update for it recently, like within the last 3 days?
How did that work? Don't they use 2 different .EXE versions? I know that steam doesn't have the DRM that the retail/EADM version has, at least not when I had it installed 3 days ago.
If you used the retail patch, then would the steam version now have the Retail versions DRM? (Tages: SolidShield)
no idea... we obtained a second .exe from EADM users and it was different than the previous 1.0.5.0 patch that we had. The manual patch worked with the Steam version (where typically it will not detect the game being installed if it's meant only for retail). Our Steam game ran fine after the patch was applied.
If Steam pushes out a different 1.0.5.0 at some point then we will update the trainer again.

My steam update for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit version(1.0.5.0s) was done yesterday on 06-06-2011. Now this trainer 1.0.5.0 here on the website does not work, it crashes the game! Can you help?
