This topic is for you.
Help Firefox development by using an unfinished version of the later firefox. You do this by simply installing these version and using them instead of the normal version. These may be more unstable and prone to crashes, but those crashes help to ensure they won't happen on the final release of that version.
The channels avaliable:
Final Release: The most stable version. Considered official release and can be found on the firefox home page.
Beta Release: Significantly stable with additional features and benefits that are at the refinement stage. Unlikely to crash on you, but it helps to catch bugs that got through despite the best efforts of firefox (and to help fix them).
Aurora Release: It is unstable. Is 6 weeks further into the development cycle and comes with much more innovations that are a work in progress. These releases are not finalized in how they appear and things may change when they move to the beta stage.
Nightly Release: Not for the faint of heart. The most unstable version ever. It is Firefox at the bleeding edge of technology. It is updated every night and represents that latest work done by Mozilla developers. As a result, some version that get released have potential to just simply not work. Use at your own risk.
