after seeing this movie, i yelled at the ticket booth clerk in attempt to get my 9 dollars back.
i do not recommend seeing this movie, for me it was a waste of time and money.
If statistics are what you need:
Production Budget: $82 million Domestic Total as of Apr. 3, 2011: $29.8 million Opening Weekend: $19,058,199
boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=suckerpunch.htm
Whereas the best recently was Hop bringing in nearly double the amount in it's opening weekend at: $37,543,710
So it's not the best out there, but I hear it's special effects are something worth watch if that's what you like.

The only difference now, is you do it without honor. Cowering behind your guns, your bombs. You don't use tactic, just force..."
I liked it a lot. Hell there were hot chicks and action. I mean I knew that's what it was going to be about before I saw it...that's what I expected...AND IT WAS GREAT!
I'd say Amber was my favorite. Sweet Pea was perhaps my least favorite. I didn't like how she was pretty much complaining the entire way and ended up being the only one freed in the end.
Also, regarding Slvrbuu's comment. This is a topic about the movie Sucker Punch. Naturally, there will probably be some spoilers in this thread so if you haven't seen the movie...why are you reading the thread? That's why I didn't read it before I saw the movie.
im surprised that you enjoyed this movie so much darkish, it doesn't seem like you're type of flick.
i don't really understand the audience that this film was meant to appeal to.
it was alot of vivid fantasy/action scenes shown in rapid succession. none of which seemed to have any plot behind them or even have anything to do with any other similar scenes in the movie (story wise)....and when i see fantasy movies, i expect a deep and compelling story behind it like the lord of the rings movies, underworld movies, hellboy movies etc. but in this film it was like none of the fantasy scenes made any sense to me. One fantasy scene she is fighting giant samurai and im like this is cool but why is this happening...then the next fantasy scene she is in a WWII type scenario shooting people and doin backflips...and im like nice and vivid special effects but wtf is going on and how the hell did she go from fighting ancient giant samurai to trench warfare!??!?
also, the star actress, who looked 13 years old, was dressed like a porn star and there was no emotion in her face the entire movie...just the same blank stare like she was ****ing sesshomaru...except the things that sesshomaru does actually make sense and have plot and motiv behind them.
so by the end of this movie i felt very confused, and like a pedophile

Having seen only the trailers I had hoped it would be a modern, slightly more psychological thrillery Ender's Game, which is probably why I was so incredibly disappointed by the results. It's a mindless action movie staring barely legal style girls and amazing special effects. If you go in only expecting that you should enjoy it, I probably would have.
