I'm sure this sort of topic has been discussed before, but I'm just curious to know what people think of it now. Do you think our bodies remain on this earth while our souls go elsewhere? Eg. Heaven.
Personally I believe that we're currently living in a dream and when we die, that's when we'll wake up.
I'd like the think that there will be something. What scares me about death is the thought of total nothingness and the way I can't avoid it. But that's just it, I can't avoid it, so I shouldn't bother freaking myself out thinking about it.
Personally, I'd like to be reincarnated. Or be immortal. Either one works.

I believe in the existence of a soul. Not in the christian sense or anything religious but I think that after death, the soul leaves the body and searches for a new host. When it finds a host (a newborn baby), the host gets infused with it and we are reborn so to speak BUT with one drawback. We are a tabula rasa. A blank page, no memories of our past life, experiences or anything else

Yeah thats a paradox i like to ponder from time to time, my reasoning is that after death there is nothing but darkness or nothingness. How can you suddenly go from existing to not existing for the rest of eternity?

I believe that what ever is after death is beyond me, and until me or anyone else proves there is little something something in the afterlife I don't have any belief, but I open minded if anyone can back up their belief with proof. I live by fact not faith.

I believe that our bodies remain in the same place (eg grave) but our soul goes to Heaven or Hell, depends on what you did in your life, or what religion you follow.
