Ya - trainer is now a version behind, current DoW II:Ret is now at 3.13.
I too have the trainer crashing Retribution on map load - it may also corrupt savegame files (as savegames made with the trainer on before the patch now cause the game to CTD with no warning).
EDIT: As a side note - cleared the TEMP folder as PWizard recommended - no change. Trainer still causes crashes on either New Campaign or when loading a savegame. Tested with races Ork, Space Marines, and Imperial Guard. Have no reason to believe it's any different with any of the other races.
Starting the game first, creating a new campaign, THEN Alt-TABbing and starting the trainer does not work - you hear "Trainer Activated" but the keys do not function (no resources, no Super Unit, no remove pop cap). Game will crash halfway during the first mission in this case (where you have to defend the base).

I haven't noticed the latter. It just crashed on loading the mission.

I noticed when trying to load a Space Marine campaign started with the trainer working, WITHOUT having the trainer on. Was at the third mission when the game was saved - on loading that campaign, instant CTD. Tried it also with pre-saved ork and IG campaigns - the Ork one loaded at least, the IG one crashed out.
Again, these saves were made with the trainer ON on version 3.12 - when trying to load them with the trainer not running in 3.13 I got the results above. The missions were saved at the starmap - so were not in-progress.
