Do you know if they are banning accounts who use the trainer? all I have used it for is money, TDU Devs posted a news thing in which they have discovered exploits and accounts that use those will be dealt with, but don't specify what the exploits are... comments?

I believe the "exploits" they were most focused on were the traditional type of game glitches that people were taking advantage of, specifically a FRIM glitch that allowed you to do donuts until the counter capped out because it thought you were drifting. There were a couple of other glitches too with similar effects.
CH trainers are designed for offline / single-player use, so I would imagine that you (we) should be safe by using offline profiles.
