Could an out of date firmware of a router, or a problem in it or even problems in my home telephone line make my internet slow down from 1 MB connection to something like 512kb/sec connection ?

extra note, when my router is turned on the hone telephone becomes really unclear and makes noise sh sh shshshshshs xD

I'm assuming you use a DSL connection? If your phone line is also digital they may cause some interference with each other (though rare). You might have to call your ISP to see if they can make a small change so that it stops interfering.
    Your bitterness, I will dispel

Is this a new router? If not and it was working fine before then it's probably a cable inside the house or your phone line.
Trust is a fragile thing. Once trust is lost, it can be impossible to recover. Those we're closest to can betray us,and total strangers can come to our rescue. In the end, most people decide to trust only themselves. It really is the simplest way to keep from getting burned.

It's not new, but I'm pretty sure it's interfering with my phone line, because as soon as I turn on the router the phone starts making that noise and becomes unclear at all. could this make my internet slower ?
    And yeah it's DSL

Shouldn't make much difference what router you really use.

    Problems with ADSL lines are..

    1. Congestion, if a local exchange is heavily subscribed to then you could be limited in your connection at that time.

    2. Distance from exchange will reduce quality and speed of your bandwith the further you are from it.

    3. Bad cabling or wall mount connection.
