Firefox is beaten EASILY by Opera's browsers, Google's browser, and even Apple's browser. In terms of customizing, firefox is the best, but it's not even remotely close to being the fastest.
And benchmark testing shows Opera 11 beta being on top for now (soon to be beaten by Chrome again).

Chrome's speed advantage is not perceptible by ordinary human beings. You'll need cyborg eyes.
lol
Chrome is an excellent browser and in my opinion the fastest that exists. In terms of speed it proves to be very pleasing. I admit Opera is fast, but there something about the way it works that I don't quite like.

OMG! Blitz, look! That Amumu has 4k health and is fed as hell. Better grab him when everyone on our team is around you!
I look at it differently. I took a test (I have every well known browser (i.e., IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Google Chrome)) to see which browser took up the most in caching. Not much to worry about, but it accumulates fast. I found that Opera had the least amount in caching, while Google Chrome (I was so surprised) had the most..Safari was second best, then Firefox, then IE, then Google Chrome. I used Google Chrome for a long time. The test didn't alter my decision in switching to Opera though. I loved it's speed, looked appealing, and I could actually watch movies in a good speed, quality, not to mention not freezing every 2 seconds (my system specs are so low people would laugh...look up AMD Athlon XP 1500+ and you'll get the jest of my problems). Love it and it's great. Google Chrome will always be my back-up though.
