You have to meditate while being out of combat. Potions have to be taken in advance. In the midst of a battle you don't have the time to uncork the bottle and chug it down.
I've been playing for about 15 mins and it got me wondering... basically, Triss is Geralt's lover... but does anyone know if this changes if you imported a save where you gave Alvin to Shani in TW1? If it doesn't change, it'd be a bit of a continuity issue wouldn't it?
Anyway... all I can say so far is AWESOME. The game "auto detected" my graphics settings to low, but I have it on ultra and it runs as smooth as honey. This thing is sexy.

Meh. Doesn't make that much difference to me, since I always went with Triss anyway =P.
Let me think... a dangerous sorcerer in mortal danger, shall I give him to a nurse or a powerful sorceress? Again, not that it makes any difference.

well well, i know what ya mean, maybe i should start to play the witcher 1 again and give the alvin to triss *lol* but now i will play the witcher 2, so enough time to make another run to that till skyrim comes out *lol*
