The various trainer versions available for Arcania state what version of Arcania the trainer is for (like all trainers do). But where is the game version to be found that includes the last 4 digits that matches the trainer's?

Find the Arcania.exe application right click it then go to properties. Click on "Details" tab it will show File version.
Edit: This goes for almost if not all games. I am not 100% sure but thats how I get all my game versions.

Where would the exe app be on a vista install from Steam?
I've searched and can't find it.

usually in X:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common
Since there are people who give me crap for my grammar and is to lazy to check my profile I will say it here as well. I am dyslexic so give me a break as I *TRY* to spell correctly.

Not just on Vista either it may be worth noting. This path will likely be the same for any Windows OS.
Also, it may not be "Program Files (x86)", rather just "Program Files". Depends on whether your system is a 64 or 32-bit environment.
And installs from 'other sources' could be in different places entirely.
