lol. I think you all are forgetting something...

remember that Blizzard isn't Blizzard anymore...it is now Activision-Blizzard and regardless of what Activision say, they still make money the bottomline.

When Activision set money as a bottomline, Blizzard know that they have to make money or else, be booted.

and their ToS is BS. why? because we paid for this game. unlike some players, i'm one of the few that don't EVEN play online...seriously...yeah i suck at pvp online, but i don't play online because SC world is pretty gud.

now, soon, everything gonna require online crap just to play. y? this sucks...seriously...

and if you get banned, you can tell Blizzard that you disagree with their ToS and that if they only want you to use cheat within their game instead of a trainer, they are also in voilation of their own ToS
Games aren't the same anymore. Single Player games aren't appreciated. WHY!?

Their statement fits my experience exactly. Two buttons, "SINGLE PLAYER," and "MULTI PLAYER."

People who have got banned, in my opinion - and, of course, this is bound to be controversial, because it goes against their statements and I don't mean to accuse anyone of lying - probably forgot to restart their client and close the trainer before playing multiplayer. That, or they created a "MULTI PLAYER" game against the AI and used the trainer. Either of those would definitely get you flagged and, consequently, banned.

Since there's no second computer to check the data against, the trainer does technically "work" in multiplayer if you're just playing the AI. But, on the MULTI PLAYER side of game creation, you're officially online and in touch - under Warden's watchful eye.

I've used the trainer substantially, just to screw around (the campaign isn't difficult but it's just lovely to do things like, oh, take over the Leviathan in Crack The Sky and spit out as many mutas and broodlords as you want literally as fast as you can hit the hotkeys/click), in single-player mode. Like, a lot. I have never used it in multiplayer mode, versus the AI or in any other circumstance (against another person, the differing values would naturally be checked and so the trainer wouldn't work anyway).

Again, I'm not trying to call anyone who claims they've been banned for totally innocuous behavior a liar, but it just doesn't match my experience. Is everyone who has been banned for the trainer usage absolutely, positively, beyond a shadow of a doubt sure that they never even once accidentally hit the multiplayer tab for just half a second? Getting "in touch" with Warden like that could screw you even if apart from that incidental, tangential contact you never did anything at all, and it would leave you feeling as though you'd been banned for single-player only usage when really, in a really nagging, technical sense, you did "use" the trainer in multiplayer, as far as Warden is concerned, having scanned for the memory locations it scans for...

Pouring a 40 for fallen homies, etc., and maybe this is one of those come to Jesus things where you just don't see it 'til it happens to you. I'll let ya know if I end up banned, but following the safe play practice of avoiding anything remotely approaching multiplayer like the plague has worked fine for me.

One last time, no intended. Best of luck to all of you, thanks CH for providing fun tools for screwing around.

I used single player hacks only for years, then played without any hack at all on a fresh install to play multiplayer. I am 100% sure I never used a trainer or even built-in codes after that clean install and then stopped playing for over a year before getting a notice that I was banned for 14days, lol. I have to assume either they made a mistake or my account was hacked, but they claim their records are perfect and it couldn't be a hacked account. I appealed twice and got their same auto response that is little more than basically just giving customers "we are always right and know everything, so f*** you!" as a reply...

hmmmmm.....I've used CH trainers for months in "single player" and haven't had any problems...so I find all this "banning" a bit ominous...does this mean that I will still get banned if I continue using the trainers?....OR are the people getting "caught" trying to sneak one under Blizzard's nose by attempting to play a multiplayer game while using a trainer or cheat?

... or perhaps they have moved on from the title and stopped guard dogging it as much?

That is the smartest thing I have ever heard anyone say about anything.

Perhaps you're right.....they may have found bigger fish to fry.....getting ready no doubt to drop the hammer when Heart Of the Swarm is released......rather sad if you ask me

Agreed. I still do not understand what they have against cheats and trainers in the first place. The first installment had its own built in console cheats, and now and use of a trainer or cheat and you are banned even if used in single player only. I think you are completely right that they will kick back into full gear banning mode once Heart of The Swarm arrives. On the downside, we will probably have to wait for the dust to settle on that title before they stop or at least ease off the banning. On the upside, the game looks like it will be a phenomenal addition. Too bad they have to milk their customers out of a full $60 for each of their expansions.

Yep, we're a bunch of masochists. Glad I could add my two cents.
