Well i figured out what the problem was... yes the game was purchased through steam, but it updates through window's live. Didnt know that.... Good for future reference... and i hope others who have the same issue will find this helpful. Sorry for the confusion. =( Trainer works good now
just recently downloaded this game from GFWL. how do i find out the patch information on this game? I've downloaded the latest trainer and the game crashes when i start press F1. im using the Games for Windows LIVE client...
So, continue using the last trainer then. Problem solved.
Our game updated to where a new trainer was needed. We did a complete fresh install through Steam. It's possible that your game didn't patch properly or maybe a new install kicks off something different. There have been many times when Steam did not patch our games correctly and only by deleting and reinstalling the game did we actually get the latest version.

Not necessary. I'm in the same boat as you. The previous to the most recent trainer works perfectly for me. I just bough the game off of Steam 2 days ago via the sale. I had verified files and the works.
The trainer is a God send right off the bat for slippery and manipulating time so I don't have to stop what I'm doing to make Zombrex runs.
This is one of those games where a couple of annoying ideas are inserted into an otherwise really good experience and thankfully those bad ideas can be neutralized for the most part thanks to these trainers. You need a trainer to get the best out of this game IMO.
