Wrong, girl gamers are actually really good. I don't see the reason why some people are so sexist about it. I know several girl gamers that shred online.
Well yes...a large number of hardcore gamers are more focused on gaming and not their physical health so people automatically relate gamers to fat and lazy.
Same goes with girl gamers...sure there are many that are really good...but most of them are not...so that's why people think that all girl gamers are not good at video games.

Actually not so much. Professional gamers around the world will tell you that you need stamina and strength in order to be in peak performance for gaming. Several of them usually grab a gym membership and will work out to stay in some form of shape (not like athelete, but enough to not be in terrible health).
I know for a fact that KeSPA requires all professional teams to give their team members free gym memberships to a gym that meets a certain quality.
[oops]Reach: I challenge some of my friends in the Air Force to handstand competitions for fun.
Now if you considered the "shut-in" type of gamer then yeah...they're going to be in some pretty bad health shape.

There's a thought about girls that sexy ones are stupid and smart ones are ugly. Even at Miss world sometimes i here that contestants say that "We're not just a beauty but a .....". Add to that in comedy movies or teenage related storyline mean and stupid girls turn out to be sexy and innocent but smart one is "not so hot!".
About boys story is the same. Nerds are usually fat people with a a baseball hat siting in front of monitor all the time, usually genius!
These characteristics are made by social based upon what has been fed to it.

Speaking of Media influence, most of the High School based movies I have seen are American, and the stereotypes are really strong in these movies so I wonder - are high school students in America really so divided by stereotypes?
I don't know, guys. Stereotypes ARE usually true--otherwise they wouldn't exist.
Like, computer geeks being fat and lazy. Well, like 80% of Americans are fat and lazy. Go figure.
