This happened to me when Halo 3 came out, needless to say I was ****ed off.
I have come into a bit of money so i should be able to afford it, i need some xbox live time also.
The sad thing is I knew it was going to die for the past 2 years, if sounded like the mechanical equivalent of a wheezing old man. Ticking, Screeching, rattling, scratching disks if I didn't play off the hard drive.
I just hate that it chose now to die. I'm going to go buy a new one today. I decided a warrantied console is better than a possibly temporary fix by my friend.

We don't know that yet. Wait until Christmas, 343 is doing the halo novels and they have the first book in the Forerunner trilogy coming out. That'll show us if they're good or bad. They also did Halo Legends, which I thought was good; wasn't so hot on the cartoon aspect but the stories were good.

Im heading there in about 2 hours (8pm). I just went by there to pay the rest of the game off.. There is a small group of RoosterTeeth nerds playing hacky sack in the parking lot waiting for the mini party to start.

I'm going to the gamestop one. They're having a guy dressed up in a masterchief suit (a really expensive one) and an H3 with huge screens for people to demo the game.
