I think it's bull***t. 'Nuf said!

First amendment.

People can burn flags, bibles, korans, Vonnegut books, copies of the kama sutras, whatever the hell they want.

In order for a civilization to be considered "modern", it must protect free expression.

This is just like drawing Muhammad PBUH (except this time, it's a LOT worse).

I'm sure Christians won't be happy if Muslims burn Bibles.

If you paid attention to the news (read: Westboro Baptist Church) you'd know all sorts of crazy people do crazy things. And a majority of Christians wouldn't care that much (only the senile loony ones). You can go ahead and burn the cross and everything in this nation, and you'd be untouchable under the First Amendment.

OK, I understand if a Christian burns Bibles (in which he wouldn't; either ways, I wouldn't give a damn), but why burn something that is not related to your religion?

To make their statement clear they do not like Muslims.

I'm Christian, and if someone burned a Bible (and I'm sure someone is burning a Bible somewhere in the world at this very second) it wouldn't affect me at all. I don't get why people get mad about this kind of stuff. It's not like someone came into your house and burned whatever your holy symbol is in front of your face then defecated on your doormat or something. Stuff like this should be ignored, the people doing it are just doing it for attention. Ignore them and you win.

I don't agree with that but it's not like we can do something about it. >_>
