Experiencing the same thing, activating the trainer at main menu. Starting at game it just crashes to desktop halfway through the loading screen. Steam shows they did a small update 5/13/24, not sure if thats the issue.

there's a small patch update on 14th and some hotfix updates also..

Please use the update notification system to report a game patch, update or to report that the trainer may not be working with the latest version of the game. If 3 or more reports have been filed, consider BOOSTING the priority of this title for a faster turnaround on the updated trainer.

yes, I also turned off my antivirus and the game still crash when I activate the trainer.
