Aurora Bug Reports Discussion

I had not problem with aurora for years, now after five month i started it again and after i login the menu pops up and it crashes completly without any message. I reinstalled it, run it as admin, windows defender exception, nothin did the job. One time of twenty i am aible to get it runnin and then it crashs again. It looks like some anti virus programm seems to interfer, but i dont have any installed, its just the windows defender, and i have installed a folder and file exception.

can you grab a screenshot of your exclusions in windows security? have you tried redownloading the program? have you tried holding shift when opening Aurora?

Completely disable Windows Security including the real-time scanner and see if the problem goes away. Look for crash reports in Windows Event Viewer.

So i recognized that after i started it several times with the crash, it worked once, then this session crashed as well and after that i tried to restart it again and i got the message Unkown failure (conflict) while i was in the login screen (see attached screenshot). Havnt got this message before.

I then started it with shift and entered my login data and got the unkown failure message again.

c0000005 is access violation. Very likely something injects into Aurora and crashes it. Do you have any overlay tools installed? Discord running?

Try holding down SHIFT key when Aurora starts and when it asks you about disabling hardware acceleration click on yes.

About the login failure my guess is that you're temporarily blocked. Perhaps you have tried to log in too many times in quick succession

it maybe steam or nvidia, i terminated all running programms and now aurora is working, the nvidia overlay is trying to restart with every game, i will test it a bit more...

The Unknown Failure is trying to login to Aurora too many times quickly in a row. It will clear after one hour of not trying to login.
