I just installed the game last week from retail disks - patched to the latest version. If I try to start the game with the -scOffline flag or with my internet cable unplugged, the game will not load - says it has to be activated despite having activated and run previously. Once I start the game with internet access I can unplug, and if I have not shut down my PC, it appears I can restart the game unplugged.
Anyone else experiencing this? Based on replies on other GTA5 board topics, it sounds like you can start the game offline. Is this due to a recent patch or because I am running the retail (via social club) and not via Steam?

An easy fix to play GTA V offline is to use a mod manager that will force the game to start offline as: [url]gta5-mods.com/tools/gtav-mod-manager'>Link = gta5-mods.com/tools/gtav-mod-manager.
There's no need to use any mods, just start the game by clicking "Single Player"
