I would not say it looks better but around the same. The game play is kind of simple but it is a FPS. How ever a game based on Apocalypse Now with a moden twist is just sweet. The story seems realy new , not the same old bad guy starting ww3 go kill'em and his wee lil friends crap. We all have def tast but I for sure will get this for the story line and gore alone finely a game that shows brain mater and the gore that follows war, I think ill be getting warfighter as well.
Well, if it helps, it's not an FPS - it's a TPS
I think this game looks pretty great, though. I've always had more interest in the narratives of games than most, so a game that doesn't give up much of its gameplay and is a retelling of a classic like Heart of Darkness has a lot of potential in my opinion.
I usually stay away from trailers for spoiler reasons, and that they're too easy to slap toether the best parts of a crappy game to make it look better than it is. However, I accidentally caught this one and I was instantly sold.
Sure, it's another "American soldiers save the day yet again" game (seriously, let's see the Japanese save the world for once, or maybe the Swedish), but it looks really good in terms of gameplay, and the story has a planet full of potential (the most important thing for me). I just hope it lives up to it and I haven't wasted £30 on another Brink (I managed to avoid that one).
Actually, given the source material, America is just saving face this time around. Heart of Darkness and Apocalypse Now are both really about how really evil people can be when they don't have any societal limitations. And this is actually the one time I could see America believably saving the day - we do devote a pretty good bit of our budget to foreign disaster relief.

my first impression from the demo is: seriously wicked with loads of potential. obviously we'll have to play the full game to really come to grips with what the game is all about.
"American soldiers save the day yet again": well in all fairness they have often risked life and limb to protect those who can't protect themselves and they do have the financial and technological reach to be able to do that. sure...sometimes they get it right and sometimes they don't. obviously a lot of that will be evident in games and movies.
