(1) ABOUT THIS GUIDE

This is a guide to help with the bosses in Sonic Rush. If you are playing in easy mode 
then the bosses will only need 6 hits to kill. If you are playing in normal mode then the 
bosses will need 8 hits to kill. I will list the bosses in Sonic's order. The strategies for 
Sonic and Blaze are mostly the same. It really only differs in Dead Line Boss( see section 
8 ) and Extra Zone Boss( see section 10 ).


(2) LEAF STORM BOSS

This is the easiest boss to me at least. Anyway, this mech is some type of snake like thing. 
At first it will try and crush you by leaning back then smashing you with its head. To 
avoid this, run back and fourth until it stops and slams. After it misses you, jump on the 
glass part of the head and it will take damage. After a few hits, it will try a new attack. 
The camera view will rotate almost 90 degrees. The mech will drop its head on the other 
side and it will roll towards you like a log trying to knock you over the edge. To dodge 
this, jump over it as soon as its about to hit you. After it reaches the other side, the mech 
will pick back up the head. Even later in the boss, the head will continue to roll back and 
fourth 2 or 3 times( sometimes 4 ) before it picks its head back up. You now have 
defeated this boss. 


(3) WATER PALACE BOSS

This boss is pretty easy as well. This time it's some type of mech like serpent. It will start 
off with the same type of attack like the Leaf Storm Boss. You know, the head smashing 
thing. Well use the same strategy and hit the glass thing on the head. Later it will try and 
body slam you if you're to close. Just spindash out of the way. It will also lower the 
water level and the neck will extend and will try to hit you. Just jump and hit the head. 
After many hits then you will have defeated this boss as well. 


(4) MIRAGE ROAD BOSS

This boss isn't that hard if you know what your doing. Now your faceing some robotic 
beatle with a spike ball. It will start by launching the spike boll towards you. At some 
point on its way it will turn blue and will have no spikes.  Just jump to hit it and it will roll 
back and hit the beatle mech thing in the back doing damage. Just hit the spike ball before 
it has its spikes again. Later when you hit the ball back toward it, it will jump and you 
will have to hit the ball again to make it hit. It will also try and fly in the air trying to hit 
you with the ball by tossing it at you. Just run around to not get hit. After you hit the boss 
enough times then you will move on. 


(5) NIGHT CARNIVAL BOSS

If you haven't been doing this already then I suggest you do. CONSERVE YOUR 
RINGS. Do not grab them all at the beginning. Just grab a few and save the rest for later 
when you need them. This will be useful in later bosses. Anyway, this looks like some 
pole that has 2 ends. One with the little regular mech head and the other with an electric 
ball. This pole spins them around. Well it will try and hit you with the electric ball by 
spinning around. The electric ball will loose its electric at some point. Hit it then and this 
will lower the mech head for you to hit it. This does damage if you haven't figured it out 
by now. It will drop this small thing for you to jump on that will bounce you into the air 
for 3 seconds. While in the air try and hit the mech head. Later on the pole will stop 
spinning and the electric ball will hit the ground causing shock waves. When the shock 
waves are about to hit you, jump so they will miss you. Also the more hits you made, the 
less time the ball wont be electric, so you have to be quick in hitting it. After enough hits, 
then you will have defeated this boss as well. 


(6) HUGE CRISIS BOSS 
This is just like the boss from Leaf Storm. The mech looks the same.  Anyway, it will use 
the same old smashing attack. You know what to do here. Well it will also do a 3 smash. 
This is where it smashes the ground 3 times before you can try and hit it. Later on it will 
go further back and launch missles at you. Dodge these by staying clear of them. Also, 
later on when it tries to smash you, it will give you very short time to hit it. You are going 
to have to be quick. I mean real quick. My suggestion is stay close to it when it smashes 
you but not to close to where you'll get hit. Once your done with this boss you can then 
move on. 


(7) ALTITUDE LIMIT BOSS

What we got here is some falcon like mech. It will start by shooting at you from a 
distance. Then it will try to jump on you. You have a chance to hit it now but you got to 
be quick. It will keep doing that a few times if you miss. Then it will fly out and come in 
like a bird catching its pray. It will try and hit you with its head. You don't have to be 
that quick to hit it here. Later it will try and attack by rotating the camera almost 90 
degrees and try and blow you off the ledge. To resist just press A and B rapidly. You 
don't need to mash the buttons. Just hard enough to resist. After you land enough hits 
then you will move on. 


(8) DEAD LINE BOSS

Ok here the strategy differs for Blaze then Sonic. Well because you'll be fighting Sonic or 
Blaze. If you are sonic then you will fight Blaze. If you are Blaze then you will fight 
Sonic. 

IF YOU ARE PLAYING AS SONIC

Blaze will start out by doing her type of spindash. She will also attack you from the air 
with some flame attack. You can hit her when she's off guard. She will stand still. As you 
get later in the boss, she wont be off guard as long. She will also attack by raising flames 
off the ground from where you're standing. Just move out the way. When you get down 
to the last hit, there will be a little conversation between them. Then both will bash each 
other at strong force and now it's all or nothing here. You are trying to knock her off the 
edge by mashing A and B as fast as you can. If your not a good button masher then use 
something like a pen cap and rub it across the buttons. After you knock her off, then you 
will move on. 

IF YOU ARE PLAYING AS BLAZE

Sonic will start out by spindashing. He will also attack you from air with some sonic 
boom attack. You can hit him when he's off guard just like with blaze. He will also not be 
off guard as much as you do more damage. Later he will also jump up in the air and 
create a tornado and try to suck you in. Just stay away from it and try to resist a bit. 
When you get down to the last hit, there will be a bit of conversation. Then they will bash 
each other at strong force and now it's all or nothing here. You are trying to knock him 
off the edge by mashing A and B as fast as you can. If your not a good button masher 
then use something like a pen cap and rub it across the buttons. After you knock him off, 
then you will move on. 


(9) FINAL ZONE BOSS

This boss is annoying at first. Your fighting some giant mech like thing. It will start out 
by trying to crush you with its fists by banging them. Hit one and the mech will go to 
your right to the edge. Camera rotates almost 90 degrees. He will try and hit you by 
smashing his fist on the edge and send energy waves. Jump over these then jump on his 
arm and walk up. When it says to press down then press down or you'll be thrown off. 
Make sure your at least half way up the arm first or you'll be thrown off regardless. When 
it stops trying to throw you off then continue the way up toward the head and hit it. 
Later it will use other attacks. It will use a laser from its mouth to hit you. Just jump to 
avoid it. It will send these little silver thing and they will create an electric field around 
you. Just don't touch the electric lines. It will also try and do the old head smashing. You 
should know how to avoid this by now. After you get it to its last hit, then it will try and 
charge at you. Stay away from the middle and after it arrives, jump on the head and 
finish it off. 


(10) EXTRA ZONE BOSS

If you beat Sonic's story, Blaze's story, and collected all 7 chaos emeralds, then you can 
go this boss. You fight this boss as Super Sonic and Super Blaze. 

SONIC'S PART

This will start off with meteors floating around. Dash through them with A or B to break 
them. Hit the red ones to get rings. Collecting rings is important. During this your ring 
count goes down every second. Don't let it hit zero or you die. Anyway, watch out for  
the laser shooting at you while going through the meteors. When you reach the mech, it 
will use attacks like try and slash you. It will also shoot things at you. Use A or B to 
reflect these back at the mech to do damage. Another attack it uses is launching missles 
from distance and they seek out on you. Don't let these hit you or you loose 10 rings.

BLAZE'S PART

This starts off just like Sonic's part. Instead use B to dash. Using A is to charge fireballs 
to attack. When you get to the mech, it will slash at you. Just avoid this. It will also aim 
its hand at you to try and grab you. Another attack is opening up a warp hole and sucking 
everything in. to avoid this, dash down or dash up and stay away from the middle and 
sides. Getting sucked in makes you loose 10 rings. There are times when the mech will 
hold still. Just charge up a fireball and hit it. 


The boss works like this. After sonic hits it 2 times, blaze comes in. after blaze hits 2 times 
then sonic takes action. After 2 hits its back to blaze. 2 more hits then back to sonic. 3 hits 
and you defeated the boss.
