I have just put them into this for those who don't bother with reading the manual. Sorry if this part is boring it's just that i have to get the basics over and done with so that i can gat to the good part.=) The controls are as follows: Character Movement and Actions: Walk/Run Forward - Left analogue stick. Side step Left/Right - Left analogue stick. Aim Left/Right/Up/Down - Right analogue stick. Firing Weapon - R1 button. Oh and most of the above is vital for completing a mission. :I ================================================== 2.2 - The Basics ------------------------(S3NS010) ================================================== The following may be alot to take in but, big but it will help alot in most missions. These things are your command list, issuing TCAs and above all, lokking after your team. Below is the Command List which can be accessed by pressing the CIRCLE button.=() Movement, Position and tacticalcommands can be issued once you have selected the person to order. These orders are: 1. - Fire at will - Your Fireteam will fire at any enemy that they see. 2. - Deploy - Your Fireteam will deploy equipped explosives where you want it. 3. - Follow - Your Fireteam will follow you. 4. - Hold position - Your Fireteam will hold their position. 5. - Move to - Your Fireteam will move to the position you point to. 6. - Lead to - Use this command to decide if Able or Bravo will take point when moving from one objective to the next. Able team mate Killjoy will take the lead but will change to 'following' if you drift to far from him. 7. - Hold fire - Your Fireteam will hold their fire until you choose the order 'Fire at will'. 8. - Cover target - Your Fireteam will cover a specific target and will eliminate any enemy that is in a specific 'zone'. They must have eye contact with the contact to carry out this order. 9. - Breach - Your Fireteam will 'Breach' a specific 'zone' by throwing an equipped explosive to clear the 'zone' being breached. 10. - Get down - Your Fire team will 'Hit the deck' (drop to the ground) and go to prone position (Basically lie on the ground.) 11. - Clear area - Bravo Element will attempt to clear the designated area of hostile enemies. 12. - Overwatch - Able Element will watch over and cover the area. 13. - Mount - Your Fireteam will mount the designated object. (Weapon, Vehicle etc) 14. - Dismount - Your Fireteam will dismount the designated object. That's just about it for the Command list. Every thing above may be needed in one mission or another. Good luck. =) ================================================ 2.2 - Special Actions -----------------(S3NS011) ================================================ Throughout the game you will have diffrent 'Special Actions'. Depending on where you are will determine the Action you can use. For arguments sake you are in the jungle and you want a hostile enemy in front of you and you want him to be taken out silently you can any of the following options: 1. - Take him out yourself with a silenced weapon or Knife. 2. - Or have one of your team - mates do the above. Which one would you choose? If you chose the second one then the best way is the Special Actions way, by pressing X when an icon shows up in the bottom of the screen and you have selected the one you want with the Left/Right button on the control pad. Hay presto you've got a SEAL with new weaponry. 5. - Deploy - This will take you and your Fireteam staight to the action zone. Well that's about it for the Mission Briefing part of it. Hope you have fun with choosing the weaponry that your team has as there is alot to choose from. speaking of which i'll tell you more about in the next section so go right ahead. :) ========================================= 3.3 - Fire Arms (Weapons)-------(S3NS017) ========================================= Well it's got to the part that you get to grips with what the weapons are in this game so here we go. Oh and some of the following will be unlocked throughout the game so keep an eye out for the new ones. The SEAL Weapons: Rifles: 1. - M8 - This rifle is a beauty when it comes to fire power in the field. It is a standered next gen rifle for the US forces. It is extremely light-waight. Oh and did i mention that it is a deadly weapon in the real world. :() 2. - M14 - This assault rifle may have excesive weight which makes this rifles seem out of date to some of the more modern assault rifles, but makes up from these weaknesses bt offering exellent accuracy and range. 3. - M16A2 - A standard infantry rifle with the US forces. It is among the best assault rifles in the world. Among being very accurate. Even at long range. 4. - M4A1 - A short, lighter version of the M16A2. It has a high accuracy and good fire power. But has a shorter affective range than other rifles in it's class. Because of overheating it is less reliable. :( ShotGuns: 1. - M4-90 - This shotgun is the newest in the US military tactical shot gun line up. Magazine-fed and semi-automatic. This otherwise exellent weapon is handicapped in it's short magazine size. Meaning more reloads. :( 2. - 12 Guage pump - A popular pump action shotgun. The 12 guage has exellent stopping rate, but suffers from limited range and penetration. Sniper Rifles: 1. - M40A1 - Known for it's deadly accuracy, thisbolt action sniper rifle is hand made by armourers of the marine corps Marksmanship Training Unit at Quantico, Virginia. This Sniper Rifle isn't for the faint of heart. :) 2. - M87ELR - This bolt action, anti material sniper rifleis both acurate and powerful, able topunch holesin both light armour and soft targets with ease. Machine Gun: 1. - M60E3 - This light weight version of the M60 is a general purpose machine gun with great range and steady rate of fire. The US military is phasing this out, however, because of recurring technical problems. :( 2. - MK .48 - Becuase this was developed for the US Special Forces Operations, the MK .48 is lighter and delivers more fire power than the M60E3 or the RTK-74, but has a shorter effective range. Rocket Launchers: 1. - AT-4 - This Rocket Launcher is light weight at just under 15 pounds, and is shoulder fired, single shot and recoiles. It fires an 84mm High-explosive Anti-armour warhead that can penitrate most armoured vehicles. Grenades: 1. - HE - The destruction caused by this highly explosive grenade comes from the concessive force of the explosion, which damages objects and personel within it's blast radius. I.e very powerful stuff inside it then! :D 2. - M67 - This grenade is a standard grnade that pack a considerable amount of punch. It is also a fragmentation grenade that well send metal fragments flying when it explodes. Making it a very good area clearing weapon and it is very lethal. 3. - Flash Bang - Also known as a stun grenade, this non-lethal grenade is designed to stun the enemy instead of killing him/her. It does this by making a very load noise which makes every thing within it's blast radius temereraly deaf and a very bright light which makes the enemy tempereraly blind. Not the best of thing to mess with. :D 4. - Smoke - This smoke grenade makes you tempereraly invisable so long as you stay behind or in it. But be careful of the enemy franticaly shooting throught the smoke so i suggest that you crawl your way through it. It can also signal other units. :D Mines: 1. - Claymore - A lethal anti-personnel weapon, the Claymore mine uses C-4 to project its payload of 700 steel pellets in a fan shaped blast over a 10 metre casualty radius. Pistols: 1. - MARK 23 - Developed by the request of the US Operations Command, the MARK 23 is more powerful than most pistols available but also much heavier. Unknown: 1. - HKS - Used by the military and police forces in over 50 countries, the HKS is unparalleled in both single-shot, accuracy and modularity which makes it ideal for CQC and counter terrorism operations. Well that about it for the weapons in this game if you wanted to know how many there are in this game then there are 18. Don't know what good that is but i guess some of you out there would like to know how many there is in these sort of games, any way hoped the above helped you all in some way or another. :I =================================================== 3.4.1 - Using the Fire Arms --------------(S3NS018) =================================================== The following weapon controls can be changed in the options menu in the game. All the above can be changed in the weapons in the options menuof the game. =================================================== 3.5 - Your Team --------------------------(S3NS019) =================================================== Your team is the key to accomplishing your mission. Throughout the whole game your team will be fighting with you whether you like it or not. Not to be rude but they will stick to you 24/7. But the fun part is that you can give them orders and they will do them. Your team or as they are called Fireteam consist of: ABLE Element And BRAVO Element. ABLE is you and Killjoy, BRAVO is Jester and Simple. Which makes ordering alot easier. ==================================================== 3.4.1 - ABLE Element ----------------------(S3NS020) ==================================================== ABLE Element are as what i said in the section above, this your element of the Fireteam. In this Element their is: 1. - Commander Dimone Freehold aka: Unknown - This is you. Depending on what rank you choose will determin' what your nickname will be in Fireteam. 2. - Petty Officer Third class Davoud Ali Khazi aka: Simple - This is also another member of Fireteam. He will also stay put when given the order to hold position even when Killjoy doesn't. Well that's just about it for the ABLE Element in this game, If you want to find out who is in BRAVO Element then scroll the page down to the next section of this FAQ/Walkthrough. :p ==================================================== 3.4.2 - BRAVO Element ---------------------(S3NS021) ==================================================== BRAVO Element consists of the following: 1. - Chef Petty Officer Bailey Ivansen aka: Jester - This is another member of the Fireteam. you can tell him to hold position and he will stay where he is, even though if Killjoy doesn't. 2. - Petty Officer Third class Davoud Ali Khazi aka: Simple - This is also another member of Fireteam. Oh, sorry just had one of my moments. :S. ===================================================== 3.5 - Tactics ------------------------------(S3NS022) ===================================================== Tactics are the big area of success in this game without them you'll never be able to accomplish a mission. The following are my top 5 hints and tips to have good tactics to accomplish missions in this game so here we go: 1. - Maps - Make sure that you study the map carefully and you know what you are doing before starting the mission. 2. - Mission Info - Make sure that you read everything so that you are sure in what you must do especialy the orders. 3. - Intel Database - Make sure that you know who the target and hostage is, because you wouldn't want to kill the hostage. And also make sure that you know whether the target is armed or not. 4. - Armoury - Make sure that you only carry what you need because if you carry too much then it will slow you down. 5. - Execute - Make sure that you execute every order in the right sequance and also go over the map once more to make sure that you haven't missed anything. that is about it for tactics. have fun with the tactics in the game!!! :I ====================================================== 3.6 - Mission Success/Failure ---------------(S3NS023) ====================================================== Throughout the game you will come across the Mission Success or Failure screen, don't worry about that, you can always replay that mission. The Mission Success screen consists of the following: 1. - Stealth - This is very important in some of the missions in this game without the stealth in the stealthy missions you will fail it. Anyway Each time your team is discovered and the enemy communicates your presence to others, stealth points will be deducted. 2. - Accuracy - Each time you hit an enemy it will increase your accuracy rating will increase, but if you miss they will go down. Also the accuracy of your teammates will be counted. 3. - Teamwork - Use your team for co-oparative engagements. The more you use your teammates during the course of the mission, the higher the teammates rating will go. 4. - Mission Completion - Primary objectives are the most important to completing the mission, Also having the largest impact in the op area, oh and it must also be completed. You can only fail a secondary objective and still complete the mission. So don't worry. 5. - Mission Failure - Your mission will be considered a failure under the following confitions: 1. - You are incapacitated (you die) 2. - A mission critical character, such as a hostige or escortee, is killed 3. - A mission critical target escapes 4. - you abort a mission (exit a mission) 5. - Or all three SEAL team-mates are incapacitated (they die) That is just about it for the Mission succes/failue side of things. ================================= =============================================== 4. - Using the Tacmap and Tracking mission Objectives ------------------(S3NS024) ================================================================================= The tacmap is used when you are in the op area. It gives you info from the map to the objectives. Use this wisely because it can either be your friend or your foe. the following are what you will find in the Tacmap. Tacmap: To open the Tacmap press the SELECT button and repeat this again to close it. Using the Tacmap: press the left analogue stick to move the map view. Press the Right analogue stick Up/Down to zoom In/Out of the map. Press the SQUARE button to snap the Tacmap to player. Press the CIRCLE button to snap to the current objective. Mission paths are not always available. NAV Points: NAV Points mark key locations within the op area. Use the NAV points to issue orders. Structures: Move through the op area using the structures as navigational aids That's just about it fir this section. When you are ready please move on to the next section. ===================================================================== 5. - FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions -----------------------(S3NS025) ===================================================================== I hope that the above helped you all in some way or another.
