Number of Hits to Defeat: About 7-9 shots from the Hunting Gun, along with 10-15 shots from the Handgun Giant Centipede Description: A gigantic red/brown centipede. It holds Rebecca hostage. Location: On the third floor of the Training Facility. Have Billy operate the chain crank, and have Rebecca obtain the Fire Key to make the Giant Centipede appear. (Related Game play) How to Defeat: Basic Directions: Chase after the Giant Centipede and continually fire at it. Detailed Directions: 1. For this battle, Billy should have a fully loaded Shotgun, a fully loaded Grenade Launcher, a fully loaded Handgun, and a healing item (Herbs or First- Aid Spray). 2. Don't get close to it when it's moving or you'll take damage. 3. Wait for the Centipede to stop moving, and then shoot it with any available weapons. 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the Giant Centipede is defeated. Note: If you need extra ammunition or healing items, have Rebecca drop some on the ground before the fight with the Giant Centipede. Number of Hits to Defeat: About 5-6 shots from the Grenade Launcher, 6-7 shots from the Shotgun, and 5-10 shots from the Handgun Giant Bat Description: A large, brown bat, typically surrounded by smaller bats. Location: On the first floor in the Laboratory, in the church. (Related Gameplay) How to Defeat: Basic Directions: Wait for the Giant Bat to get close, then keep firing at it. Detailed Directions: 1. When you first go into the church, drop some weapons so you have more room in your inventory. It's recommended to have a Shotgun and a Grenade Launcher, along with at least two healing items (Herbs or First-Aid Spray). 2. Stand next to the entrance of the church and aim up. When the Giant Bat comes close, shoot it with the Shotgun or Grenade Launcher. 3. Ignore the smaller bats, as more will replace the ones you shoot. If the Giant Bat grabs you, rapidly press the A and B Buttons to get away. 4. Repeatedly fire at the Giant Bat to defeat it. Note: DO NOT leave the room, or the damage done to the Giant Bat will be reset. Shoot him with the Magnum or Grenade Launcher, and just stay behind him. Number of Hits to Defeat: About 1-2 shots from the Grenade Launcher, along with 5-7 shots from the Magnum should finish the Tyrant off Tyrant - Second Encounter Description: Just like the first encounter, an enormous, disfigured man with a claw for a hand. Location: On the basement ninth floor of the Treatment Plant. (Related Gameplay) How to Defeat: Basic Directions: Keep your distance, and continually fire at the Tyrant. Detailed Directions: 1. Have one character hold the Magnum and Shotgun, and another the Grenade Launcher and Custom Handgun. Use the Magnum and Grenade Launcher first, then go to the Shotgun and Custom Handgun if you have to. 2. Stay a good distance away from it. If your computer controlled partner gets too close, make him or her get further away by using the C Stick. The Tyrant can kill a character in one hit, even if his or her health is only in "Caution". 3. Try to get Billy to take most of the hits, as he can take more damage then Rebecca can. 4. Fire a shot, move a little bit, and fire again. Continually fire to defeat it. Location: On the basement ninth floor of the Treatment Plant. Just past the door where the Keycard is used. Have one character hold the Magnum and Shotgun, and another the Grenade Launcher and Custom Handgun. Use the Magnum and Grenade Launcher first, then go to the Shotgun and Custom Handgun if you run out of ammo. 2. Stay a good distance away from Dr. Marcus. If your computer controlled partner gets too close, make him or her back off by using the C Stick. 3. Fire a shot, move a little bit, and fire again. Continually fire to defeat Dr. Marcus. Number of Hits to Defeat: About 10-12 shots from the Grenade Launcher, 8-10 shots from the Magnum, and about 2-4 shots from the Shotgun should defeat Dr. Marcus. Leech Queen Description: A giant, grotesque creature. It's dark green in color, and has several flailing tentacles. Location: On the first floor of the Treatment Plant. After defeating Dr. Marcus, go through the door and up the elevator. How to Defeat: First Battle: Stand behind the Leech Queen and continually fire with your most powerful weapons. Second Battle: As Billy, keep running around the Leech Queen to distract it. If it starts to focus on Rebecca, start shooting it with any available weapon. You must give Rebecca (controlled by the computer) enough time to turn all four valves to open the roof and let sunlight in, which will defeat the Leech Queen.
