There are seven places in the BF. The battle factory, the battle palace, the battle dome, the battle pyramid, the battle tower, the battle pike, and the battle arena. They all have specific tasks, further explained in their own sections. Mark my words the BF is not easy, and it can get very annoying. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INTRO:KEY ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----- = new section ----- !!!TEXT!!!=important BF= Battle Frontier BF1= Battle Factory BP1= Battle Palace BD = battle dome BP2= battle pyramid BT= battle tower BP3= battle pike BA= Battle arena BP=battle points ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1: The Battle Frontier ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The true test of a trainer's worth lies east of the Hoenn mainaland. The small, unassuming island known as the Battle Frontier is home to seven challenging battle arenas. As you claw your wy to victory defeating trainers and their bosses--frontier brains-- youll acculumlate BP which you can trade for useful items and new moves for your pokemon. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.1: The Battle Factory ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the absolute hardest of all of the arenas. Definitely. So you ask what makes it that way? Well it is the fact that you have no control of what pokemon you're going to face, or use. At the beginning, you will have a selection of six pokemon. Some will have the worst movesets youve ever seen, while some will have such good ones you'll want to make a pokemon just like it. You must win 21 battles in a row without whiting out to get a silver. To get a gold, you have to have 42 consective wins(by wins I mean battles) and on both you have to fight Noland, the frontier brain of the battle factory. Normally, I would have the pokemon of the frontier brain and their movesets, but Noland is totally unpredictable. His pokemon change every time, like yours do. This it shat makes the Battle Factory the hardest of all arenas. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.2 Battle Palace ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Let your pokemon roam free here in the battle palace! In the battle palace, you have no control over what your pokemon can do! All you pick is attack or not. The pokemon chooses the atack that it wants to do. The nature of the pokemon decides what it will do. If it has an adamant nature, it likes everything. If it is brave, It favors attack. If it is gentle, it favors defense. If it is serious, it likes support. There isn't really much to say, without a huge chart saying what tendency each attack in the game is. Spenser, the frontier brain is really hard. He has a crobat that is really hard to hit. Spenser Crobat lv.(highest lv pokemon in your party) Double Team Toxic ?????? ?????? Slaking lv. (highest lv pokemon in your party) Earthquake Shadow Ball ?????? ?????? Laparas lv.(highest lv pokemon in your party) Ice Beam Horn Drill ?????? ?????? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.3: The Battle Dome ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ahh, the battle dome. Probably one of the easiest in the beginning, but really rough after your third time around. In the battle dome, you have win against 4 trainers and win every time. After 5 times around, you'll see the frontier brain Tucker, who looks kinda weird... Well, anyways, this is his team: Salamance lv.(highest lv pokemon in your party) Earthquake Brickbreak ??????? ??????? Swampert lv.(highest lv pokemon in your party) Ice Beam Counter !!!He makes heavy use of this move and it inflicts tons of damage!!! ??????? ??????? Charizard lv.(highest lv pokemon in your party) Rock Slide Earthquake ??????? ??????? Tucker can use only 2 pokemon, alike you. This is one of the harder battles and I reccomend you see him on the level 50 side. Some reccomended pokemon are... Walrein Lv 50 Icebeam Sheer Cold Surf Blizzard Venasaur or Sceptile lv. 50 Leaf blade or razor leaf earthquake solarbeam sunny day Milotic lv.50 Hydro Pump Surf Attract Ice Beam You want to use pokemon that cover eachothers weaknesses, like Azumarril and Bellossom or Manecetric and Gyarados. About the normal trainers in the Dome now: You only have to worry if you look at their stats and see "best candaditate to be a champ!","a sure finalist team", or" a likley tor 3 finisher." those mean they are good. if it is anything else, they are pretty bad. That pretty much raps it up for the battle dome... also, to get silver it is 5 wins and gold is 10. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.4: Battle Pyramid ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Silver:3 wins gold:10 wins This is primarily based on luck. You have to clear the 7 floors of this adventure with trainers, scarce items, and one exit. When you enter the battle pyramid, you will only be able to see 1 square around you. as you win more and more battles, you will be able to see more around you. there is usually about 5 trainers on a level and about 3 items. mabye more, mabye less. There are certain pokemon that appear on times around. the first time around, there are an abundance of eletric pokemon (wild) so you know what to bring...Ground Pokemon! Eletric cant touch ground! You get 3 pokemon for this battle, and you get to use them all. No, you cannot catch wild pokemon in the pyramid(darnit!). The exit to the floor is the obvious light blue plate randomly placed throughout. The level layouts are totally random, so dont go asking me about that. Here is a chart on the battle Pyramid's pokemon !!! the pokemon reset after every battle after 3!!!: |Challenge 1 | Challenge 2 | Challenge 3 |MINUN |ROSEILA |VULPIX |PIKACHU |BUTTERFREE |MAGCARGO |ELECTABUZZ |SEVIPER |NINETALES |VILEPLUME |SKARMORY |MEDICHAM |MANECETRIC |LUDICOLO |WEEZING |BRELOOM |CROBAT |DUSCLOPS |JOLTEON |GENGAR |HOUNDOOM USE:Ground USE:steel USE:Water Fire fire Ground Ice normal Fighting The factory brain of the pyramid has brains. Good luck and good fortune! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.5 Battle Tower ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Silver:5 gold:10 Welcome to the most long and boring of all the arenas! The Battle Tower! *Everyone screams yay* This is exactly like the classic like in ruby and sapphire. You can choose between a single, double, multi, and link multi battle. A single battle is, well, a single battle. And a double battle is a double battle is a double battle. And as multi battle is when you team up with the worst trainers and have a double battle with them on your team.!!!This is not linking with other people- it is in the game!!! A link multi is when you link up with friends and do the battle tower. The only one that gets you BP is the single battle. Use teams that cover up each others weaknesses, like a team of Walrein,Sceptile, and Charziard (my team!) !!!give your pokemon held items, specifically leftovers and shell bell!!! After you slaughter everyone, you will face the frontier brain--Anabel. Alakazam lv.(highest lv pokemon in your party) Thunderpunch Icepunch Firepunch ??????? All you do is run through random doors and hope for the best. Actually, no. There are tips that tell you what is going to be next. If you see... "A Trainer? I sense the prescence of people..." it will be either Fight one trainer or heal all pokemon "I seem to have heard something..." it will be either a double battle or conversation(nothing) "Distinct aroma of pokemon wafting around it..." it will be either fight a tough trainer(win pokemon get healed) or wild pokemon. "I fel;t a wave of nostaliga coming from it..." it will be either a conditional attack(1 status problem) or heal some pokemon "A terrifying event, yes,a horrible one, is about to befall you..." is pike queen appears Pike Queen Seviper lv.(highest lv pokemon in your party) Swagger Crunch ?????? ?????? Shuckle lv(highest lv pokemon in your party) Toxic Sandstorm ?????? ?????? Milotic lv.(highest lv pokemon in your party) Ice Beam Mirror Coat!!!BEWARE!!! ?????? ?????? !!!Make sure you have a pokemon that has a 1-hit-KO!!! When Seviper comes out, take it out with a couple earthquakes.Shuckle often puts up a problem. It has insaine defense, like 600+ around level 80!!! You can deal with it with a 1-hit-KO. Milotic. Danger. Beware. Do not attack it with non-physical attacks! it will counter them and wipe you out! Try to take milotic out with a 1-hit-KO attack and you'll be all clear. If you are wondering what abilities prevent what, here is a chart: |condition |ability |POSION |IMMUNITITY OR PSN TYPE OR STL TYPE |PARALYZE |LIMBER |BURN |WATER VEIL |FREEZE |MAGMA ARMOR |SLEEP |INSOMISNA, VITAL SPIRIT |CONFUSE |OWN TEMPO ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.7 Battle Arena ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- silver:4 gold: 8 This is not like any battle you have ever done. You have 3 turns to take out your opponent, or they to take out you. But you ask, only 3 turns!?!? Well, there is a twist. There are 3 categories: Mind, Body and Skill. To get mind points, use brute force. Attack with all you got. To get skill points, use attacks with high attack power. To get Body Points, have the most health at the end. Circle means win, triangle means tie, cross means lose. You have to win more points than your opponent. If you make the pokemon faint, you win all three. If one attack did a lot of damage, use it for the rest of the battle.!!!DO NOT use stat boosting attacks like roar, howl, etc.!!! as held items in the arena, use items that heal a chunk of your health at once. After 4 times around, you'll face Greta, the frontier brain. she is fairly good, and has pokemon that are really good for this type of battle. Heracross lv.(highest lv pokemon in your party) Megahorn Rock Tomb ??????? ??????? Umbreon lv. (highest lv pokemon in your party) Body Slam Confuse Ray ??????? ??????? Shedinja lv. (highest lv pokemon in your party)!!! you can only damage this pokemon with supereffective moves it is a bug pokemon!!! Shadow Ball Return ??????? ??????? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Section 2: Extras ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are many extras in the game of Pokemon. Some which people made up, some not. There are also some mini-quests that you can do to win extra stuff. You don't only battle in the Battle Frontier, but you can also buy stuff with your BP. These can range from prizes to dolls to attacks. Yes, it does take some work, but it is all possible. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.1: Strategies ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are many strategies that you can use in the Battle Frontier. Most of it is having the right pokemon. Lucky for you, I will tell you the perfect team for each arena and what level to challenge it at. !!!BT!!! The more sucessful you are, the more you earn. Most arenas the first time around you will get 1 BP but then you start getting the BP. The Battle Pyramid will get you the most BP, with 5BP the first time around, 10BP the second, 20BP the third, 20BP the fourth, 20BP the fifth, 20BP the sixth, 40 the seventh, then 20BP the rest. With your hard earned BP you can buy attacks, dolls, held items, and stat-boosting items for your pokemon. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.3 Prizes ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Battle Frontier Shop Lady 1 (far left) Kiss Poster-16BP Kiss Cushion-32BP Smoochum Doll-32BP Togepi Doll-48BP Meowth DOll-48BP Clefairy Doll-48BP Ditto Doll-48BP Cindaquil Doll-80 BP Chikorita Doll- 80BP Todoile Doll- 80BP Battle Frontier shop Lady 2 (middle left) Laparas Doll- 128BP Snorlax Doll- 128BP Venasaur Doll- 256BP Charizard Doll-256BP Blatoise Doll- 256BP Battle Frontier shop lady 3 (middle right) Protein-1BP Calcium-1BP Iron-1BP Zinc-1BP Carbos-1BP HP Up-1BP Battle Frontier shop lady 4 (far right) Leftovers-48BP White Herb-48BP Quick claw-48BP Mental Herb-48BP Brightpowder-64BP Choice Band-64BP Kings Rock-64BP Focus Band-64BP Scope Lens-64BP Old Lady trainers: To get to them from the BF shop, go up the stairs and be near the BT. One of them is that you have the guy in Mosdeep Space Center say "sucessful launch no. 100"!"do you want to go to the moon?" NO. He does not say that. You can not go to the moon without an AR or Gameshark. Another legend is all the legendary pokemon are on the moon. NO. Like I said before, you cannot reach the moon without cheating. There is one way, however, to obtain Deoxys or The Old Sea Map. That is to attend a Nintendo Event, or go to a Toys R Us where they give away Deoxys codes. If you know of more legends, PM me on my Cheathappens account. My username is Ho-Oh2224. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.5 Scott ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scott, the guy that follows you around everywhere, lives here on the Battle Frontier. He lives to the left of the Battle Pyramid. All he does is annoy you, give you a gold shield (decoration), a silver shield (decoration) and 2 berries when you complete 400+ events sucessfully. Otherwise, he may give information, but other than that, he just annoys you. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.6 Pokemon to catch ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are 2 pokemon to catch on the Battle Frontier-Sudowoodo and Smeragle. To capture Sudowoodo, you must have the Wailmer Pail and water the funky looking tree to the right of the Battle Palace. After ypu catch the Sudowoodo, surf left, down the waterfall, left some more, and up and enter the cave. Run around and you you will get 3 items and TONS of smeragle. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Section 3- Credits ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nintendo Power's Pokemon Emerald Strategy guide for charts and the pokedex Cheathappens.com for haveing a great site(Thanks PWizard and Nevermore!:]) Gamefreak and Creatures inc. for having of made Pokemon games Kope4Kope for clarifying information about Deoxys and Mew in the "Legends" Section. www.cheathappens.com has permission to use this www.ign.com has permission to use this www.neoseeker.com has permission to use this Nobody has permission to use this guide and say they wrote it and submit it.
