Rating ------------------------------------------------------------------- Length:(8/10) - I thought the Story Mode on this game was short. This is probably because of how easy the levels tended to be (with 2 or 3 exceptions). Also, the levels of this game did not vary much. There were pretty much only two different types of levels. You either have to protect something (White Base or Jaburo) or you have to Attack something (Enemy Bases or Enemy Mobile Suits). However, the Story Mode's short length was made up for in Tactics Battle Mode (Usable after finishing Story Mode). Although there are only about 3 levels in this mode it took me longer to complete than the entire Story Mode. Therefore, without the Tactics Battle Mode, I probably would have rated length 5/10, but this mode brought the grade up to an 8/10. Controls: (9/10) - I have seen/heard many people complain about how complicated the controls are. I disagree with them. Although the controls may be more complicated than many others games' controls, I liked them. I think that these controls make the game feel more like you are piloting an actual Mobile Suit. (You don't actually expect piloting a Mobile Suit to be that easy, do you?) However, if some body cannot get used to the controls, they can always adjust them to their liking. In conclusion, I go against the majority and give the controls a 9/10. Replay Value: (10/10) - The Story Mode did not hold much replay value. Once you beat it once, you probably will not want to go through it again, and there is a good chance you have almost memorized every level due to level length. Plus, there are only a few minor changes in the levels the second time through. I would probably have rated Story Mode's replay value as a 5/10, but Tactics Battle Mode brings the grade up (once again). Tactics Battle Mode has replay value not only because you can play for both sides but also because of all of the Mobile Suits you can win. There are 22 different Mobile Suits you can win in Tactics Battle Mode. Furthermore, the more you play it, the more Mobile Suits they throw at you, and the better the enemy Mobile Suits get. This raises the grade to a 10/10. Sound: (10/10) - The sound in the game could not get much better. The sounds come right out of the television show and the music fits in very well with the feeling of the level. You can also listen to any background music you like in the gallery. There is not much more I can say, with the sounds straight out of the show and the good music, I rate this section a 10/10. Graphics: (10/10) - The first time I saw the graphics on this game (about a year ago), I was amazed. Today I am still very impressed, even with all of the brand new games. The detail in the Mobile Suits themselves is very, very good. Even though you usually don't see much of the Mobile Suit while playing a level, but you can look at all of the Mobile Suits and their specs in the Gallery. The graphics in the environments are also very good, and you can destroy almost anything, from motorcycles to skyscrapers. These factors give the Graphics a 10/10. II. Mobile Suit List: This is a list of all the Mobile Suits available in Tactics Battle Mode. The Mobile Suit's running speed, engines (cooling), weaponry (average of main weapon, secondary weapon and melee weapon) and health are rated out of 5. Weapons are listed as follows: Main Attack, Auxiliary Attack, Proximal Attack and Specialty. A. Principality of Zeon MS-05 Zaku I: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Zaku Machine Gun, Cracker, Heat Hawk, Hand Grenade Speed 2 Engines 2 Weaponry 2 Health 2 Ups - Um... Nothing I can think of. Downs - Very wimpy weapon, bad health and very bad engines. Information: The MS-05 Zaku I is remembered as the first Mobile Suit in history. This Mobile Suit was first produced in UC 0076, and by 0077 there were over 700 built. At the beginning of the One Year War, this Mobile Suit was considered obsolete, however many still saw action during the war. MS-06 Zaku II: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Zaku Machine Gun, Cracker, Heat Hawk, 3-Piece Missile Pod Speed 2 Engines 3 Weaponry 2 Health 3 Ups - Specialty attack is better than Zaku I. Downs - Other weapons still very weak. Health and engines not much better than Zaku I. Information: The MS-06 Zaku II was at one time the backbone of the Zeon Army. The development of this Mobile Suit began in UC 0077 and mass-production began in 0078, however production was eventually halted when mass-production of the Rick Dom began. MS-06S Char's Zaku II: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Zaku Bazooka, Cracker, Heat Hawk, Ace Marksmanship* Speed 3 Engines 3.5 Weaponry 4 Health 3.5 Ups - Main weapon is a lot better than Zaku I and II Machine Gun. Engines are also better than Zaku II. Downs - It is still pretty slow. Firing rate is slow. Information: The MS-06S Zaku II is a rare version of the regular Zaku II. This variant of the Zaku II has a thruster output 30% greater that the Zaku II. This Mobile Suit is also known to be piloted by ace pilot Char Aznable. MS-06FS Garma's Zaku II: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Magella-Top Gun, 4x40mm Vulcan Guns, Heat Hawk, Ace Marksmanship* Speed 3 Engines 3.5 Weaponry 3.5 Health 3.5 Ups - Main weapon is stronger than normal Zaku II. Downs - Main weapon is not as strong as Char's Zaku II. Has Vulcan guns instead of Cracker. Information: The MS-06FS Zaku II is a variant of the MS-06F Zaku II. This variant was customized for the use of Garma Zabi, commander of the Earth Attack Force. This Mobile Suit was outfitted with 4 machine guns in its forehead but was rarely used by Garma. MS-07 Gouf: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 5x75mm Machine Gun, Heat Rod, Heat Saber, Heat Rod Speed 3 Engines 3.5 Weaponry 3 Health 3.5 Ups - Weapons are better than Zaku II. Downs - Is about the same speed and health as Zaku II. Information: The MS-07 was designed to replace the aging Zaku II. This ground combat Mobile Suit has several built in weapons, however production was slowed at the development of the Dom. MS-09 Dom: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Giant Bazooka, Scattering Beam Gun, Heat Saber, Ace Marksmanship* Speed 5 Engines 4 Weaponry 4 Health 4 Ups - Very fast. Also has a nice main weapon. Downs - Auxiliary weapon is not that great. Information: The MS-09 Dom is a Ground Combat Mobile Suit that ended the production of the MS-07 Gouf. The pilots Gaia, Ortega and Mash, who were also known as the Black Tri-Stars, first piloted this Mobile Suit. MS-18E Kampfer: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Customized Shot Gun, Head Vulcan Gun, Beam Saber, Chain Main Speed 4 Engines 4 Weaponry 4.5 Health 4 Ups - Decent health and engines. Good weapons. Downs - Has Vulcan Guns instead of other Zeon Auxiliary attacks. Information: The MS-18E Kampfer is the result of the Zeon's need to substitute number for quality. This was because the Federation's own, superior Mobile Suits were being mass-produced. The Kampfer is designed with light armor and relies on its speed and maneuverability for survival. Because this Mobile Suit is so fast and maneuverable it often uses hit-and-run tactics. The Kampfer was also supposed to destroy the Federation's new Mobile Suit, Gundam Alex, however the attempt failed. MSM-03 Gogg: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Torso Mega-Particle Cannons, Torso 2x Missiles, Claw, High Power Shots Speed 2 Engines 3 Weaponry 3.5 Health 4.5 Ups - Strong Main weapon and good health. Downs - Very slow. Information: The MSM-03 Gogg is the first mass-produced marine type Mobile Suit. This Mobile Suit is outfitted with heavy armor to withstand underwater pressure. Because of water-cooling, the reactor in the Gogg is powerful enough to support built-in beam weapons. Also, this Mobile Suit's tanks can be filled with water (for cooling) allowing the Gogg to operate on land for short periods. This makes the Gogg the first Mobile Suit equipped with beam weapons for the Principality of Zeon. MSM-03C Hy-Gogg: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Beam Cannon on Both Arms, Leg 4x Missiles, Claw, Ace Marksmanship* Speed 3 Engines 3.5 Weaponry 4 Health 3.5 Ups - Faster than Gogg, weapons are still good. Downs - Does not have as good as health as Gogg. Information: The MSM-03C Hy-Gogg is an upgrade of the Gogg. Upgrades include moving the mega-particle cannons from the chest to one in each hand, making it easier to aim, and adding a jet pack for increased cruising range and underwater speed. MSM-04 Acguy: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Right Arm Mega-Particle Cannon, Head Vulcan Gun, Claw, Left Arm 6x Missiles Speed 2.5 Engines 3 Weaponry 3.5 Health 4 Ups - Has Strong weaponry and good health. Downs - Is slow. Information: The MSM-04 Acguy was developed right after the Gogg was mass- produced. Zaku reactors, which do not give the Acguy as much power as the Gogg, power the Acguy, however this also makes the Acguy harder to detect with infrared radars. This makes the Acguy the first stealth Mobile Suit. MSM-07 Z'Gok: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mega-Particle Cannons on Both Arms, Head 6x Missiles, Claw, Ace Marksmanship* Speed 4 Engines 4 Weaponry 5 Health 4 Ups - Strong weapons with lots of ammo. It is also very fast. Downs - Health is not as good as Gogg or Acguy. Information: The MSM-07 Z'Gok is the third mass-produce marine Mobile Suit for the Principality of Zeon. The Z'Gok is very powerful and very mobile, making it equally powerful on land as under water. This Mobile Suit is also equipped with an air-cooling system, allowing the Z'Gok to operate on land for extended periods. MSM-07S Char's Z'Gok: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mega Particle Cannons on Both Arms, Head 6x Missiles, Claw, Ace Marksmanship* Speed 4 Engines 4 Weaponry 5 Health 4.5 Ups - Slightly better agility than normal Z'Gok. Downs - Health isn't much better than Z'Gok. Information: The MSM-07S Z'Gok is an improved model of the regular Z'Gok. This model has a higher power output and is made of lighter material, making it more mobile than the regular Z'Gok. This Mobile Suit was also used by Char Aznable when he infiltrated Jaburo. MSM-10 Zock: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Shoulder Mega-Particle Cannons x8, Head Sonic Laser, None, Rapid Fire Speed 2 Engines 2.5 Weaponry 5 Health 5 Ups - Very good weaponry and health. Downs - Very slow... Information: The MSM-10 Zock is the result of Zeon designer's shift from fast and humanoid Mobile Suits to heavily armed and heavily armored Mobile Suits that resemble Mobile Armors. The Zock shows this with its many mega-particle cannons and large size. Three Zocks were produced in total, one of which was destroyed at the attack on Jaburo. B. Earth Federation RGM-79 GM: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Beam Spray Gun, Head Vulcan Gun, Beam Saber, Ace Marksmanship* Speed 3.5 Engines 3 Weaponry 4 Health 3 Ups - Weapon has good firing rate. Downs - Health is not spetacular. Information: The RGM-79 GM (pronounced Jim) is the Federation's first true mass-produced Mobile Suit. The GM was produced using the data from the Gundam. The GM is a simplified version of the Gundam, using different metal for armor, using only one Beam Saber, and using a non-ejectable core block. It also uses a beam spray gun, which is a machine gun beam rifle. These factors make the GM easier to operate and cheaper to manufacture than the Gundam. RX-75 Guntank: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Bob Missiles x4, Shoulder Cannon, None, Rapid Fire Speed 2 Engines 3 Weaponry 3.5 Health 3.5 Ups - Umm... Downs - Slow, Poor weapons, bad health. Information: The RX-75 Guntank was one of the first Mobile Suits for the Federation and was part of Operation V. This crude Mobile Suit was developed because of rumors of Zeon Mobile Suits. The Guntank was meant to be an anti- Mobile Suit weapon but eventually turned into a Mobile Suit equipped with caterpillar treads. The Guntank was originally controlled by two people, one in the body and one in the head, however the Guntank that was aboard White Base was modified, allowing Hayato to operate the Mobile Suit on his own. RX-77 Guncannon: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Specialized Beam Rifle, Head Vulcan Gun, None, Gun Cannon Speed 3 Engines 3.5 Weaponry 4 Health 4.5 Ups - Decent weaponry and health. Downs - Is pretty slow. Information: The RX-77 Guncannon is the Federation's first humanoid Mobile Suit and part of Operation V. This Mobile Suit features shoulder-mounted cannons and provides midrange support for other Mobile Suits. The first prototype could not use any other weapons, but the second prototype was capable of using a beam rifle. The lone survivor of the six Guncannons at Side 7 was assigned to White Base and was piloted by Kai. A second Guncannon was assigned to White Base later in the war. RX-78-2 Gundam: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Beam Rifle, Head Vulcan Gun, Beam Saber, Ace Marksmanship* Speed 4 Engines 4 Weaponry 4.5 Health 4 Ups - Has decent weapons and engines. Downs - Speed could be better... Information: The RX-78-2 Gundam is one of the results of Operation V. This state-of-the-art Mobile Suit features two beam sabers, a learning core block system and can be equipped with a beam rifle or a bazooka. The lone survivor of the Side 7 attack was assigned to White Base and was piloted by newtype Amuro Ray. Throughout the war, Amuro fought several battles in the "White Mobile Suit" and became the greatest ace of the One Year War, making the RX- 78-2 Gundam a legend. RX-79[G]: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - MS Cannon, Illuminator Shot, Beam Saber, Chest Vulcan Gun Speed 4 Engines 4 Weaponry 4 Health 3.5 Ups - Decent Weapon and Speed. Downs - Has poor health. Information: The RX-79[G] Ground Combat Mobile Suit was produced around the same time as the RX-78-2 Gundam. This Mobile Suit was produced for the Federation's ground force and was made up of spare parts for the Gundam. The Ground Combat Gundam was different to the Gundam in several small ways. This Mobile Suit was still capable of using beam weapons, but the core system was removed. Also, the head vulcans were moved to the chest and the beam sabers were moved to the legs. RGM-79SP GM Sniper Custom II: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Beam Rifle, Head Vulcan Gun, Beam Saber, Ace Marksmanship* Speed 4 Engines 4 Weaponry 5 Health 4 Ups - Strong Main weapon. Downs - Slow firing rate. Information: The RGM-79SP GM Sniper II was developed towards the very end of the war and was the highest performance variation of the GM in the war. This variation boasted special targeting sensors in its sliding visor. This caused the GM Sniper II to not have head vulcans, however a Vulcan pod could be attached to the head. RX-79BD-1 Blue Destiny: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Machine Gun, Head Vulcan Gun, Beam Saber, Rapid Fire Speed 4 Engines 5 Weaponry 3.5 Health 4 Ups - "Exam" OS system (turned on once health is low) gives Mobile Suit unlimited ground boost. Downs - Main weapon is not that strong. Information: The RX-79BD-1 Blue Destiny is an experimental Mobile Suit featuring the new anti-newtype "Exam" OS. Many mysteries still surround this system, but this Mobile Suit has advanced combat capabilities. RX-79NT-1 Alex: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Beam Rifle, Head Vulcan Gun, Beam Saber, Gatling Gun Speed 4.5 Engines 4.5 Weaponry 4.5 Health 4 Ups - Fast strong weapon with good firing rate. Downs - Has low amount of ammo. Information: The RX-79NT-1 Alex is the result of data from Amuro's Gundam. This data showed the possibility of Amuro being a newtype. This led Federation designers to begin development of a Mobile Suit for newtypes. The design for a newtype Mobile Suit for the Federation did not have the psycommu interface, instead developers aimed for a Mobile Suit with maximum mobility, maneuverability, and reaction speed. This can be seen in the 360-degree monitor and magnetic coating, causing the joints to have less friction. *Ace Marksmanship is simply a stronger version of the Mobile Suit's Main Attack. Note: when using these attacks, you will lose your lock on enemy V. Tips --------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.Always keep an eye on how much ammo you have left You do not want to enter a battle against a Mobile Suit with one shot left in your weapon 2.Never, ever stand still when fighting an enemy When fighting, either constantly hop around or run using L1 or R1 3.Always keep an eye on your radar You don't want an enemy Mobile Suit coming from behind you when you are fighting an enemy 4.Never fight an enemy you can't see When fighting multiple enemies, try your best to keep them both in front of you 5.Know your enemies Try to memorize enemy Mobile Suits' weapons, fire rates, and weaknesses 6.Know how to use (beam saber) properly Try to memorize the different attacks you can do with your (beam saber) 7.Use shield properly When neither attacking enemy or moving, keep shield up. Do not overuse shield, it will break 8.Try to stay behind enemies Try to stay behind any enemy Mobile Suits that you encounter, this works because it takes them so long to turn around 9.Use Special Shots/Weapons carefully Most special attacks are best used at close range; these include Chain Main, Cracker, Chest Vulcan Gun, Gatling Gun and others. Therefore, use these special attacks when the enemy is right in front of you 10.Never Give Up This is the most important tip I can give. When you think you are on an impossible level, all I can say is never give up. Try different strategies, do things differently, but NEVER GIVE UP. VI. Walkthrough ------------------------------------------------------------- A. Story Mode: Mission 1: Zeon forces have seen White Base, the Federation's new battle ship, entering the Side 7 colony. The Zeon forces then launch a surprise attack against the colony consisting of a few Zaku II's. Fifteen-year-old boy Amuro Ray finds his way and gets into the Gundam, on the back of a truck... When you start the level you will be standing inside the colony and there will be a Zaku II directly in front of you. You can only use your beam saber and your head vulcans. Head towards the Zaku and take it out. Once you do this there will be a short clip from the show of another Zaku pilot yelling at you. Once it is over, look at your map to locate him, head over to him and then take him out. Mission Complete. Note: When you replay this level in stage select, there will be 3 Zaku II's instead of 2. Amuro is amazed that he actually fought off the Zaku II's. Mission 2: Almost the entire crew of the White Base was injured during the attack on Side 7. Because of this, the crew is replace by civilians living at Side 7, including Amuro Ray. On the ship's re-entry to earth, they were under attack by the Zeon. The rookie crew warded off the Zeon forces and then re-entered earth. However, because of the attack, White Base was thrown off course and was now in the middle of Zeon controlled area. White Base is flying through a canyon and is being attacked by enemy Dopps, Magellas, and Zaku II's. Amuro and the other pilots must defend White Base in their Mobile Suits... I suggest taking the HYPER BAZOOKA. You start this level under White Base facing north. Head northeast towards the Magellas (tanks) and take them each out from long-range. Then check your map for a Zaku II; it should be to the west. Once you take care of him, head north towards the next wave of Magellas. After they have been destroyed, Garma will appear in his Dopp along with some other Dopps and a Zaku II. Destroy the Zaku II and then jump up onto White Base. While on top of White Base, destroy and Dopps coming at you and continue to do this until you receive the message that the Red Comet as come. He will appear along with two Zaku II's. The best strategy to use against him is to constantly jump side-to-side with your shield, attacking when you are standing still. Do this until you get close to him and then blow him up. Once his shield is destroyed and you hit him a few times without it, Garma will call for him to surrender. Mission Complete. Note: If you destroy some Dopps before you destroy the Magellas, Garma will appear in his Mobile Suit instead of his Dopp. This is the only way to get his Mobile Suit in the Gallery. Sayla will congratulate Amuro. Mission 3: White Base took heavy damage during the Zeon attack. Luckily a supply ship commanded by Matilda made it to White Base and restocked the White Base with supplies as well as taking any injured people onto her ship for healing. Matilda encourages the White Base's crew and thanks Amuro, saying he might be psychic. Meanwhile, Zeon is preparing an attack force to destroy White Base. Char will lead a squad to find White Base (The Trojan Horse) and then tell Garma the location of it. Garma will then lead in he GAW's and destroy it. I suggest taking the HYPER BAZOOKA. You start this mission in front of White Base, which is hidden under a dome. You are told to attack the two Zaku II's to the north, but instead, head southwest and wait for the GAW to appear. When it does you will have to jump on top of it and destroy it by attacking the tail. Once you have destroyed it, proceed in attacking the Zaku II's and the Char will show up in his Zaku II, but now he has a bazooka. I would use the same strategy against him as the first time, but use your shield a lot more. Once you have broken his shield and hit him a few times without it he will give the signal to Garma, who will then precede his attack. When you regain control you will be at the bottom of the screen with two Zaku II's to the East. You can destroy them if you like, but what you really have to worry about is the GAW coming directly from the south. Destroy it the same way you destroyed the first one, but watch out, this one will shoot at you. Mission Complete. The three GAW's will fly over White Base and White Base, Guntank and Guncannon will all concentrate firepower on them. Mission 4: The attack force lead by Garma Zabi was destroyed because Char double- crossed him. Garma tries to ram his GAW into White Base (Trojan Horse). However he dies shouting, "Long live the Principality of Zeon!!" The funeral for Garma is broadcasted everywhere, and it shows the danger of having the Zabi family as dictators. I suggest using the HYPER BAZOOKA, but the BEAM RIFLE would probably work just as well. You start the level facing a small Zeon outpost. If you look on your map, you will see the several targets on the hill in the middle. These targets are a bunch of big guns and two radars. The strategy I would use is to immediately head northeast, making your way around the central hill. Take cover behind the smaller hills and walls while you make your way around the base. While you are doing this, you will probably encounter Magellas and Wappas, just ignore the Wappas but you can take out the Magellas if you like. Once you get to the northern side of the main base, jump up to the top of it and destroy the targets from behind. Once you have destroyed the targets, you will receive information that a Mobile Suit is headed your way. This is a MS- 07B Gouf accompanied by two Zakus. Use the same strategy you used against Char, and once you break his shield Ramba Ral will retreat. Mission Complete. Amuro wonders if they defeated Ramba Ral, or if he just spared them. Mission 5: The term newtype has been developed and, because of Amuro's outstanding performance, people are beginning to think that he is a newtype. However this superb performance is separating the team. This is causing Bright to think about switching Amuro out for someone else to pilot Gundam. He is thinking this because Amuro's newtype abilities are causing White Base to rely on him and he is getting over-confident. Overhearing this, Amuro takes the Gundam and leaves White Base. He runs into a base that he thinks in the main base in the area. He decides to take it out single-handedly so the crew of White Base will keep him as the pilot of Gundam... You are forced to use the BEAM RIFLE. You start out facing West, looking at the base. If you look at your map, you will see over a 12 targets, eight of which are mega-particle cannons. You will also see several Magellas along with 3 Zaku II's. The Zaku II farthest west is equipped with a bazooka, but the others have the normal machine guns. Head to the first cannon along the northern side of the base and take it out. Proceed in destroying all the cannons, going around the base counter-clockwise. Once you are done, you can take out the Zaku II's (if you haven't already done that) and the Magellas if you want to, but it is not needed. After you have neutralized any Military units, you can take out the last targets. Once you have destroyed them, a large ship thingy called MAX-03 will come out of the underground hangar along with 2 Zaku II's. Although this ship looks powerful it is not that much of a threat. The only threats it presents are the little flying things that come out of the body. Destroy them before they fly over you, because they will release an attack that hurts you and is very annoying. MAX-03 will only release a few of these, and then you can attack it. I attack the legs first then the body, which destroys it. While attacking the MAX-03, be sure to watch your radar for the Zakus. Mission Complete. M'Quve says the game is over. Mission 6: The crew of White Base looks at the remains of the small base Amuro has destroyed. Because of this, they figure the Zeon forces will dig in more now than ever. Amuro's girlfriend drives away from White Base, mad at Amuro. Meanwhile Amuro is sitting at a bar/restaurant when Ramba Ral walks in with some other high-ranking Zeon officers. They offer Amuro a drink but he declines. A Zeon soldier walks in, saying they have caught the girl. Ramba Ral tells him to let her go and then wishes Amuro the best of luck. Amuro is laying on a sand dune when he sees the Gouf and a Zaku fly overhead... You are still stuck with the BEAM RIFLE. You start the level facing southeast, looking at the GALLOP. Proceed in attacking it, but use your shield and hop back and forth behind, because the main cannon in the top of it is fairly powerful. Once you have destroyed it, you should now head back to White Base. There will be two Zaku II's equipped with cannons and also some Magellas, you can take them out if you like but to beat the mission you have to take out the Gouf. Use the same strategy as always and you will eventually destroy him. Mission Complete. Note: To get the movie Ramba Ral's Attack 2 in the gallery, you have to go through Story Mode a second time and work your way to this mission. You should destroy all of the guns on the Gallop and then leave it. Go attack and destroy the Zaku that accompanies Ramba Ral. Once you destroy wait a few seconds and check your map for another Zaku II. This one will have a special cannon so watch out. After you have destroyed him, proceed in defeating Ramba Ral. Once he is gone, wait a few seconds, and some more Zakus should appear. Destroy them and then go back to the Gallop. Destroy it. Mission Complete. Once you do this you should have Ramba Ral's Attack B in your gallery as well as having a new support fighter, the G-Fighter. Ramba Ral compliments Amuro and then says that he is only good because of the Gundam's capabilities. Amuro replies saying that Ramba is a sore loser. Mission 7: Ramba Ral leads an attack force into White Base when he finds Sayla; he is talking to her when Hayato attacks him. Ramba takes cover in a room, but is shot in the shoulder. He then sees Gundam outside the ship, takes out a grenade and jumps into the Gundam's hand, attempting to kill himself. White Base took heavy damage but received supplies including up-grade modules for Gundam. However on departure, White Base is stopped by three Mobile Suits... Any weapon will work on this level just pick your favorite. You start the level facing north. Instead of heading north, turn around and destroy the MS- 09 Dom that will come from the south and attack the ships. Once you destroy it, a movie will be played, showing the Black Tri-Star Group. Matilda will appear in her ship, attacking the Doms. One Dom will jump up and nose the ship into the ground. When you regain control you will be facing the Black Tri-Stars. It is best to take them on one at a time and use your shield a lot because they are armed with good bazookas. Once you have taken them all out, return back to White Base, and destroy the Zakus. Mission Complete. Gundam is looking over the wreckage of Matilda's ship and Amuro says that he saw Matilda when the ship crashed. Mission 8: The crew of White Base was grieved by the loss of Matilda and Rio, but had in exchange, destroyed the Black Tri Star Group. The crew of White Base salutes the people lost in Operation Odessa. White Base arrives at the docks in Ireland, however they have been spotted by Char who leads a submarine battalion their direction... I suggest using the HYPER BAZOOKA. You start the mission facing southwest and if you look at your map, you will see 3 MSM-03 Goggs. These Mobile Suits are not very fast, but have good weapons and armor. Head towards them and destroy them. Use your shield a lot. Once you have taken care of them, 3 MSM-07 Z'Goks will appear, along with one Gogg, they will be attacked by Kai in the Guntank. The Z'Goks are a lot faster than Goggs and have just as good weapons, but do not have as much armor. The Z'Goks will appear directly in front of you and to your left. The Gogg will appear near White Base. Destroy all the remaining Mobile Suits. Mission Complete. Kai says that he came back because he could not stand watching White Base's crew suffer. Mission 9: White Base has finally made it to Jaburo, however celebrations did not last long. Char has discovered the location of the Federation's headquarters and is preparing an attack force to invade Jaburo... I suggest using the HYPER BAZOOKA. You start this mission inside the hangar, facing north. When you walk forward to the Guncannons, 4 Zakus and 1 MSM-04 Acguy will drop through the hole in the ceiling. Note: try not to use your shield as much as dodging because you will need it later on. After they have been destroyed, you will be warped to outside the hangar and inside Jaburo. There will be 1 Zaku and 1 Acguy to the northwest. Take care of them and then head east, where you will see 1 Zaku and 1 Acguy. Take care of them and then head to the south, where the buildings are. There will be 1 Zaku II, which you can easily dispose of. Once he has been done away with, 1 Acguy will be to the north along with Char in his Z'Gok. Destroy the Acguy first and then attack Char. He is very good, but if you get close enough that he cannot dodge your Bazooka shells you can take him out. Eventually he will retreat into a cave. You will then be warped into the tunnel so you can follow him. There will be 2 Zakus and 1 Acguy, but you can just go past them to get to Char. Once you reach him, you will see the Zock surface from the water and "carry" you into a big cavern. When you regain control, you will be facing the Zock. There will also be 2 Acguys in the cavern, so watch your back. The best strategy is to at first use special attacks against him, but aim to the right or left of him so that he will jump right into it. Keep this up as long as you can and then get close to him and use you Beam Saber to finish him off. Mission Complete. Amuro, saddened because Char got away, mutters, "The Red Comet, he got away..." Tactics Battle Mode: Note: The more you play in Tactics Battle Mode, the harder it will get. Because of this, I cannot write a detailed walkthrough for each Mission. To win different Mobile Suits just beat all the levels with different Mobile Suits. Earth Federation Mission 1: Zeon Forces are attacking a Federation Base surrounded by trees and rivers. You must destroy any enemy Mobile Suits to protect your base. To beat this Mission, all you have to do is destroy every enemy Mobile Suit, and do not let them destroy the things labeled PROTECT on the Map. Mission 2: Zeon forces are retreating through a neutral city because of a failed invasion. You must take care on any enemy Mobile Suits that they send to keep you busy. To beat this Mission, you must destroy every Mobile Suit they throw at you. Mission 3: There is a battle going on in a desert and a battle line has been drawn along a trench. A GAW is going to fly over the trench and it must be destroyed. You must destroy any Mobile Suits you can until you receive word that the GAW is approaching and take it out. To beat this Mission, you have to defeat any enemy Mobile Suits you run into until the GAW appears. It will come from the top right corner of your map. When it comes, jump up on top of in and destroy it. Note: With certain Mobile Suits, the mission will end right after you destroy the GAW. With others, you must destroy all enemy Mobile Suits that remain after the GAW has crashed. Blue Destiny Test: The Federation has developed a new Mobile Suit, nicknamed "The Blue Menace." This experimental Mobile Suit features a new battle computer, protecting it from newtypes. However, this system sometimes goes berserk, causing the Mobile Suit to forget the difference between allies and enemies. You must defeat it. This level is pretty straightforward: defeat Blue Destiny. Use the same strategy you used against Char in Story Mode. Alex Test: The federation has developed a brand new Mobile Suit designed to be used by Amuro Ray. This Mobile Suit features enhanced newtype capabilities including a 360-degree monitor and magnetic coating. Fight this Mobile Suit and see who is the better pilot. This is another pretty straightforward level. You must simply defeat Alex to see if you can handle piloting it. Use the same strategy you use all the time against good pilots and remember to move around a lot. Principality of Zeon Mission 1: The Zeon forces are low on supply lines. Your mission is to destroy the Federation base. To beat this Mission, head north, towards the Federation base. Destroy the targeted guns on the southern side of the base and proceed to the western side of the base. Attack the one gun there and then demolish the targeted hangars you see in front of you. Once on the eastern side of the base, destroy the last targeted cannon. Mission 2: Zeon forces are in a neutral city with the main forces exhausted after a failed sneak attack. Your mission is to destroy every enemy Mobile Suit. This is another straightforward mission: destroy every enemy Mobile Suit and victory is yours. Mission 3: A Zeon GAW will be flying over the canyon in a desert. Your mission is to destroy any enemy Mobile Suits you can, until the GAW is out of combat area. On this mission you must destroy as many enemy Mobile Suits as you can as the GAW passes overhead.
