As you can tell from my user name, my name is Gamer364. This guide is designed to help all players playing this game unlock all the achievements/trophies (including the DLC ones). I know there's an achievement guide on GameFAQs already, but it wasn't exactly up to date at the time of writing this, so I figured I try to make one. I know you guys probably don't like long Intros, so I'll get on with the guide already. Warring: This guide can and will contain spoillers. I will do my best to not spoill stuff from the game, but sometimes it just can not be helped, so read at your own risk. Note: I am well aware that there is also a PC version of this game, but as far as I know, there is no achievement reward thing going on with that version, so this will be the only time this will be mentioned in the guide. Update: The note above is incorrect. There's actually achievements for the PC version of this game, so this guide will also apply to that version as well. Thank you Eric Borden for pointing this out. Note 2: The achievement points for the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game are different, but the requirements are similar, so I'll assume the Xbox 360 version as far as the points go (unless someone takes the time to give me the achievement points for the PC version). ****************************************************************************** | Part 3: Achievement/Trophy Overview | ****************************************************************************** Achievement/Trophy difficulty (on a scale of 1 through 5, 5 being the hardest): 4 If you played Mass Effect 1 (Xbox 360 and PC): 3.5 If you played Mass Effect 2 on Xbox 360/PC (PS3 only): 3 Number of Achievements (Xbox 360/PC): 62 (with DLC) 50 without DLC Number of Trophies (PS3): 59 (with DLC) 55 without DLC Least amount of playthroughs to get all Achievements/Trophies: 1 Suggested amount of playthroughs: 2 (especially if you haven't played ME1) Number of Missable Achievements/Trophies: 17 Details: This game can be challenging (especially on Insanity), but I'll swear up and down that all of the achievements are do-able. This game does have one glitched achievement/trophy (at least for PS3 players, I don't know if it also exists for Xbox 360 players like myself or not) and it's the Insanity achievement/trophy. Apparently, if you import your save file from your ME2 game (assuming Shepard survives) and load another save file on a lower difficulty at any time during your Insane run, you won't unlock it, even though you manage to beat it on that difficulty. For PS3 players, the only way to avoid this is to not do the above at any time during your Insane run, even if you forgot to do something before you started your run. Xbox 360 players, I'm not sure if it would apply to you guys as well, but do the same thing as PS3 players just to be safe. All of the achievements/trophies can be unlocked on Casual (aside from "Insanity" and "The Hard Way" achievements), so I would suggest seting it to that difficulty, to make 100% much easier. Step-by-Step guide Step 1: Decide what to do first Before you begin the game, you have to (first of all) you have to decide if you want an unoffical playthrough (Playthrough 0a) to get most of your achievements/trophies out of the way or not. If you want an unoffcial playthrough, but actually beat the game, then read Playthrough 0b. If you don't want to do that at all, skip to Step 2. Otherwise read on. I would suggest doing an unoffical or two playthrough, so you don't have to worry about some of these achievements/tropies later. Set the difficulty on Casual to make this playthrough easier. Playthrough 0a (optional) In this playthrough, you will get all of the achievements/tropies you can without actually beating the game. You will get the story related stuff without even trying for them, but here's all of the achievements you are forced to get/should get/should go for during this run (order's up to you): Missing in Action Head Hunter Fashionista Very Elusive Highly Trained Operative Explorer Scholar Technician The Convect The Krogan The Archangel The Professor Tacticain Master of Arms Merciless Overload Specialist Warp Specialist Incineration Specialist Power Full (optional) Colony Defense The Quarian The Justicar The Assassin Agent (Almost) All Loyalty achievements/trophies (Optional) Brawler Ghost Ship Friend or Foe A House Divided Propector (optional) At the begining of this unoffical playthrough, you have to decide if you want to go for the Paramour achievement/trophy or not. If you do, add this as well as Suicide Mission to your achievement/trophy list for this playthrough. Playthrough 0b (optional) In this playthrough, you are actually beat the unoffical playthrough. You now have to decide if you want to go for Paramour achievement/trophy in this playthrough. If so, decide who you want to romance with. Either way, you will get all of the achievements/trophies you will get in playthrough 0a, plus Paramour (if you choose), the optional stuff (again, if you choose), Suicide Mission and Mission Accomplished. Near the end of the game, you have to decide if you want Shepard to live in this playthrough. If you do, add Prospector (if you haven't already) and Against All Odds (and possibly No One Left Behind). Otherwise, beat the game without worrying about it just yet. Step 2: Playthrough 1 (any diffculty other than Insane) After you go through your unoffical playthrough (if you did it), you have a question yourself this. Xbox 360/PC players, do you have a copy of ME1? If you do, get what you need to take care of on that game, and have a save file prepared for Import via "Import from ME1" or what ever it says. If not, don't worry about it, it doesn't matter one way or another, it'll just take one more playthrough to get the Long Service Medal and possibly Power Gamer achievements is all (if you haven't already got the former that is). PS3 players, did get your copy of ME2 brand new from somewhere like GameStop? If so, download the Mass Effect: Genesis digital comic via code. If not, you can download it for a fee. Either way, read it and make your choices (when your ready). If your not willing to even pay the fee (or you just can't afford it), then don't worry about it, it'll just take longer to get the Long Service Meadal trophy is all (assuming you haven't already got it). After that, you have another decision to make: Whether or not you want to get all *of the remaining* achievements/trophies on Insane, or wait until Step 3 to do it. *Ignore if you skiped Step 1 If you don't want to wait, Skip to Step 3. Otherwise, countinue reading. Before you start this playthrough, you have to decide what diffculty you want your first offical playthrough on, be it Casual, Normal, Veteran and Hardcore. Casual will make getting the achievements you may not have gotten during your unoffical playthroughs and this playthrough easier. Normal will give you a bit of a challenge without being unforgiving at all. Veteran will give you an idea of what to expect on Insane. Hardcore will better prepare you for the hell that's Insane and access to the Lair of the Shadow Broker's The Hard Way achievement in this playthrough (the later Xbox 360/PC version only). During this playthrough, you may decide to make sure that no one gets left behind (including the DLC characters if you downloaded them). If you do, make sure you do, get and keep everyone's loyalty during this playthrough. Otherwise, you'll get the achievements/tropies from step one (if you haven't already got them), the DLC achievements/tropies, Suicide Mission (if you don't have it already), Mission Accomplished (if you have yet to beat the game), Against All Odds (again, if you not got it yet), Long Service Medal (if you beat the unoffical playthrough and/or Import your ME1 Character/Read the Genesis comic), and possibly Power Gamer. You have to make sure at least 2 squadmates survive this playthrough. Step 3: The Insane Diffculty When you reached this step, you should be at (or close to) Level 30 (which is the level cap for ME2, ME1 was at level 60). If you chose to go for it all on Insane, you are either really brave or really crazy. If you decide to go for it with a newer new character, you are just plain nuts. Anyway, you will get whatever achievements/tropies you didn't get in your previous playthrough(s) and the Insanity achievements/trophy. With that, you will have 100% this game. The only thing left to do at this point, it to go on and enjoy your hard gotton achievements/tropies. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ | Part 4: The Game's Non-DLC Achievements/Trophies and How to unlock them | ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This is the Meat and potatoes of this guide. The Prodigal Description: Gain the loyalty of the Cerberus Officer Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: This and all of the loyalty achievements/trophies can be missed if you don't do them. For a few of these however, that's not the only way they can be missed. See "How can his/her loyalty be missed?" where it applies. Even after you get the loyalty achievements/trophies, it's still possible to lose the loyalty of your squadmates if you lack a high Paragon/Renagade rating. In that situation (where it applies), See "Who does he/she get into an arguement with?". Who's this for?: Miranda Can you miss his/her loyalty other than not doing it?: No Can you lose his/her loyalty in an arguement with another squadmate?: Yes Who does he/she get into an arguement with?: Jack 13. Ghost of the Father Description: Gain the loyalty of the Cerberus Operative Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Refer to The Prodigal for details. Who's this for?: Jacob Can you miss his/her loyalty other than not doing it?: No Can you lose his/her loyalty in an arguement with another squadmate?: No 14. Catharsis Description: Gain the loyalty of the biotic Convict Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Refer to The Prodigal for details. Can you lose his/her loyalty in an arguement with another squadmate?: No 16. Fade Away Description: Gain the loyalty of Archangel Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Refer to The Prodigal for details. Who's this for?: Garrus Can you miss his/her loyalty other than not doing it?: Yes How can his/her loyalty be missed?: If you don't allow him to shoot Sidonis and lack a high Paragon/Renagade, he'll be upset that he didn't get his revenge. The Cure Description: Gain the loyalty of the Professor Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Refer to The Prodigal for details. Who's this for?: Mordin Can you miss his/her loyalty other than not doing it?: No Can you lose his/her loyalty in an arguement with another squadmate?: No 18. Treason Description: Gain the loyalty of the Quarian Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Refer to The Prodigal for details. Who's this for?: Tali Can you miss his/her loyalty other than not doing it?: Yes How can his/her loyalty be missed?: If you rat off her father at all in court, she'll be more angry at you than greatful that you got her out of trouble. Can you lose his/her loyalty in an arguement with another squadmate?: Yes Who does he/she get into an arguement with?: Legion 19. Doppelganger Description: Help the Justicar resolve her mission Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Refer to The Prodigal for details. Who's this for?: Samara Can you miss his/her loyalty other than not doing it?: Yes How can his/her loyalty be missed?: If you are unable to get Morinth to take you to her appartment, let's just say she won't be too happy. To counter this, here's what you should say to Morinth if you have the options. Art - Vaenia Music - Expel 10 Drugs - Like Hallex? Travel - I like danger. Power - Power is its own reward. I'm not 100% sure on this, but I believe that if you choose to use Charm/Intimidate on her when Morinth's trying to "make a pass on you", and you have Samara killed, it might not count. If you have Samara killed, Morinth will take her place. Can you lose his/her loyalty in an arguement with another squadmate?: No 20. Cat's in the Cradle Description: Gain the loyalty of the Assassin Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Refer to The Prodigal for details. Who's this for?: Thane Can you miss his/her loyalty other than not doing it?: Yes How can his/her loyalty be missed?: 2 Ways 1. If you are unable update Thane before the time runs out, his son (Kolyat) will kill the target, and he'll have a hard time understanding why you didn't update him. 2. If you don't disarm Kolyat, you will fail the mission right there. Note: For way 2, you can kill Kolyat's target with a Renagade option and still get his loyalty. Can you lose his/her loyalty in an arguement with another squadmate?: No 21. Friend or Foe Description: Obtain geth technology Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Story Related, but it can be missed. After you get "Ghost Ship" you will get the mission to grab the IFF from a derelict Reaper. Complete it, and you will have a non-functioning geth on board. This is the part where it can be missed. If you choose to give the geth to Cerberus, you might get some extra money, but you won't get the achievement/trophy. Instead, choose to keep it. Activate him, and he'll join you as Legion. 22. A House Divided Description: Hack a geth collective Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: This is actually Legion's loyalty mission, so refer to The Prodigal for details. Who's this for?: Legion Can you miss his/her loyalty other than not doing it?: Yes and No, Yes if you didn't activate him, but No if you did activate him and do his mission. Can you lose his/her loyalty in an arguement with another squadmate?: Yes Who does he/she get into an arguement with?: Tali 23. Suicide Mission Description: Use the Omega 4 Relay Achievement Points: 50G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Story Related, so it can't be missed. After your crew (not your squadmates nor Joker) gets taken by the Collecters, you have the option to use the Omega 4 Relay to go after them (and trigger your final mission). Do it and it'll unlock as soon as you pass through it. 24. Paramour Description: Successfully pursue a relationship with a teammate Achievement Points: 50G Trophy Color: Silver Guide: I found this to be a bit tricker than its ME1 counter part. This wants you to take the relationship with one of your squadmates to be more than just being loyal. Depending on the Shepard's gender, you will have a choice of three squadmate you can do this with. If your Shepard's a Male, you can romance with... Miranda Subject Zero (Jack) Tali If Shepard's a Female, you can romance with... Jacob Thane Garrus Either way, make your choice, get him/her to join your party ASAP (if he's/she's not in your party already) and talk to him/her after every story mission. If he/she says something like "Let's not press our luck just yet", then wait until after you beat a certein story mission like after Horizon. If you happend to get his/her loyalty mission, make sure you beat it successfully to stay on track for the achievement/trophy. If he/she says that he/she is having feeling for you (or something to that effect), he'll/she'll ask you if you feel the same way. Make sure you say that you do. If you say No, he'll/she'll then ask you if your breaking up with him/her. If you say Yes, they be a bit ticked off and you lose the achievement/trophy. If you tell him/her that you were just kiding and you actually do, they be understanding, and you are still on track. After you reach to the point mentioned in the last achievement/trophy, but before you actually hit it, he/she will appear in your room and eventually be given a choice to call the relationship off before it gets too serious. If you do take it, you lose the achievement/trophy. If not, the one you romanced with will hop into bed with you and that's another 50G/Silver Trophy to brag about. I personaly did this as a Female Shepard, and I had her go after Jacob because he's the earilest I can do this with. 25. Mission Accomplished Description: Save humanity throughout the galaxy from certain annihilation Achievement Points: 125G Trophy Color: Silver Guide: Story Related, so it can't be missed. After Suicide Mission, you be sent to your final mission. You nor your squadmates don't have to survive the final mission, just beat it. 26. Against All Odds Description: Survive the suicide mission Achievement Points: 50G Trophy Color: Silver Guide: Refer to Mission Accomplished, but it can be missed first of all, second of all make sure at least two of your squadmates survive the final mission. 27. Insanity Description: Complete the game in the 'Insanity' difficulty level without changing the setting Achievement Points: 75G Trophy Color: Gold Guide: Refer to Mission Accomplished, but make sure your playing on Insane before you even start your run and never change the difficulty setting even one time for any reason. This should be one of your last achievements/trophies. Shepard's class should be a Solider or a Sentinal from your first playthrough and be at a high level (level 30 if you can) before you even think about trying for this (unless this is your first playthrough). I was a Sentinal for this and I found it to be the easiest class to be for this achievement/trophy. Glitch Warring: If Import an ME2 save, Do not, I repeat, DO NOT reload another game on a lower difficulty setting, or it this will glitch on you (at least for PS3 players, I don't know about Xbox 360 players). 28. No One Left Behind Description: Keep your team alive through the suicide mission Achievement Points: 75G Trophy Color: Gold Guide: Refer to Mission Accomplished and/or Against All Odds, but do know it can most certainly be missed and you need a heck of a lot more than just two squadmates survive the final mission. I got this on Insane, so it's more than do-able on easier difficulties. Anyway, first of all, before you even attempt the end game, you are going to want to get the Normandy upgraded to the max. Here the Upgrades you need to get, how much reasources it'll take and who has them. All together, you'll want at least 15,000 Platinum and 30,000 Palladium. Thanix Cannon - 15,000 Platinum - Garrus Heavy Ship Armor - 15,000 Palladium - Jacob Multicore Shielding - 15,000 Palladium - Tali What happends if you don't have the upgrades? Jack dies if you have no armor. Kasumi, Legion, Tali, Thane, Garrus or non-loyal Zaeed or Grunt dies if you lack Shielding. Thane, Garrus or non-loyal Zaeed, Grunt, Jack or Samara/Morinth dies if your Weapons are not up to date. Next you need to make sure everyone is loyal (yes, that means even the DLC characters if you have any). I have already explained the first 10 characters through all of the loyalty achievements/trophies, and the DLC characters are in Part 5 of this guide, so refer to them. Now you are ready to take on the end game. Eventually, you'll have to make your first choice on who should go into the tubes. The correct choices are... Tali, Legion and Kasumi. My choice here was Legion. Immediately after you make your first choice, you have to decide who going to be the leader of the second fireteam. The correct choices are... Miranda and Garrus I went with Miranda Note: I'm not sure if Jacob would work as well. Also, I've seen a video on Youtube proving that Zaeed will not work here. Incorrect choices results the chosen specialist getting shot in the head. I'm not sure if this affects the achievement/trophy or not, but I'll inculde it anyway. Whether or not the Normandy crew survives depends on how many missions you did between the actually kidnapping and when you jump through the Omega 4 Relay. If you did 3+ missions, Dr. Chakwas will be the only survivor. If you did anywhere between 1 and 3 Missions, you'll find half of your crew... ahh... dead. If you did not do even 1 mission, everyone will still be alive. You then have to choose whether or not you even want to have the crew escorted. If you don't, all of the surviors die. If you do, you have to pick one squadmate to escort them back to the ship. Even if the crew's survival doesn't effect the achievement/trophy, it would be to your best interest to do this, because while the chosen squadmate will be out of the game, he/she won't be dead, making the rest of the achievement/trophy slightly easier. Hey, slightly's better than nothing or worst, right? Anyway, the correct choices are... Anyone you want or Mordin. There is no incorrect choice, however if the chosen escorter is not loyal, the crew makes it to the ship, but he/she will not. I pick Mordin for this. Immediatley after that, you have to choose who is going get Barrier duty. The correct choices are... Jack and Samara/Morinth I don't remember who I picked here, but I would have not gotten the achievement if I made the wrong choice. Anyone else, the Barrier will fail and one of your current squadmates that went with you will not make it to the door. Immediatly after making your choice, you will have to choose who's going to be the leader of the second fireteam again. Again Miranda and Garrus will work here, though I'm not sure about Jacob. Again, Zaeed will not work here. I went with Garrus this time. A bad pick here, and the chosen firearm leader will die. Afterwards, you have to decide who's coming with you for the final boss fight. You generaly want to take squadmates like Jack, Kasumi and Tali. The reason for this, is that it'll make your final battle harder, but it'll also make it easier on Grunt and Zaeed to protect everyone. I chose Miranda and Grunt (the latter only because I had Zaeed). If the squadmates you chose are not loyal, they will die when the final scenes roll. If all of your squadmates are still alive after that, you'll get the achievement/trophy as soon as the final scenes rolls. I do plan a No One Left Behind guide if you are still having trouble, so keep an eye out for an update. 29. Long Service Medal Xbox 360/PC Description: Complete Mass Effect 2 twice, or complete it once with a character imported from Mass Effect 1 PS3 Description: Complete Mass Effect 2 twice, or experience the interactive backstory (Cerberus Pack downloadable content) and complete Mass Effect 2 Achievement Points: 75G Trophy Color: Silver Guide: This is kind of Story-related, so it can't be missed necessary. The Description for this differ, but what you have to do is similar. Xbox 360/PC players, if you want to get this in one playthrough, make sure you have a save file from ME1 ready for import and do it. After that, beat the game and that's it. PS3 players, if you want to get this in one playthrough, download the Comic and make your choices, all of which have no effect on the other trophies. After that, all you have to do is to beat the game. Both versions, if you don't mind an extra playthrough, you just need to beat the game twice. 30. Head Hunter Description: Perform 30 headshot kills with any weapon on humanoid targets Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: This one sounds tricky, but there's a two tiny glitches that makes it easier. The head doesn't necessary have to be human. In fact, as long as it resembles a human, it'll count. Also, at the begining of the game where you first meet Jacob, he will tell you he should hit the robots with botics. Don't do it just yet. Instead, Pull LT (L2 for PS3) to aim, move the aim cursor to the robo head, and shoot by Pulling RT (R2 for PS3). Keep doing this until you got it or you run out of ammo. 31. Brawler Description: Shoot and kill 20 enemies while they're knocked back by a punch Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: This ones isn't too bad. The Husks are the best enemies to do this with because they can be killed easily (on Casual at least), and you'll come across them as you go through the story. When you see them, ready a shotgun or a SMG (Sub Machine Gun), punch them and shoot. Keep doing this until you either run out of Husks or you have this. 32. Big Game Hunter Description: Thresher Maw defeated Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: This is missable in more ways than one and not for glitch related reasons either. During Grunt's loyalty mission you'll be given the task to survive the Threasher Maw attack for 5 minutes. If Grunt's not even out of his tank, you won't get his loyalty mission, and thus miss this. If the clock goes 5 minutes in and you don't pull off a last momment kill, you lose the achievement/trophy. I got this achievement on Casual, but I did it on Insane once or twice, so it's more than do-able on Normal, Veteran and Hardcore. Having Heavy Weapons like the Story-forced Collector Particle Beam will do wonders here, as well as Anti-Armor ammo. Beat the Thresher Maw withen 5 minutes, and it's yours. Make a back up save before you trigger the Thresher Maw battle just in case you fail. 33. Tactician Description: Hit 20 different targets with multiple biotic powers to combine the effects Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: This ones not bad at all, because your squadmates can use biotic powers and it'll still count as long as you give them the order to do so. Here are some biotic combos you can pull off for it to count. Pull-Slam Pull-Throw Pull-Warp Singularity-Warp Singularity-Shockwave Pull-Charge The Pull-Warp combo I read is the best for this, so you can use that, or any of the other combos to make that counter go up. If your a biotic user like an Adept or a Vanguard, then all you need is one more squadmate that know biotic powers as well. 34. Master at Arms Description: Kill enemies with 5 different heavy weapons during the game Achievement Points: 15G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: This ones is easy, but it could take a while. You need to use five different heavy weapons to kill enemies at anytime during the game. Here's the different heavy weapons you can use in the game. M-100 Grenade Launcher - Picked up as part of the story during the intro mission (you are forced to use this, so concider it a freebie) M-77 Missile Launcher - Researchable prototype M-622 Avalanche - Researchable prototype Collector Particle Beam - Can be picked up during the ‘Horizon’ mission M-920 CAIN - Researchable prototype DLC Heavy weapons M-451 Firestorm - You can pick this up during the Zaeed loyalty mission M-490 Blackstorm Projector - You can get this in one of the DLC packs, but since I never bought any of the DLC packs other than the ones metioned in Part 5, so I can't say which one. You also get this by pre-ordering at Gamestop at the launch date (at least in the U.S. where I live at, I don't know about anywhere else in the world). Thanks AllChristophe for the latter info. Arc Projector - Indirectly comes with the Cerberus Network DLC (it may not count however, strongly depends on the game). Once you make a kill with heavy weapon number 5, it'll unlock. 35. Merciless Description: Make 20 enemies scream as they fall or are set on fire Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: This one sounds hard, but it's actually comes over time. If you are going for the Incinerate achievement/trophy, you might get your 20 screams as you do that. Otherwise, Incinerate ammo, biotic powers that make enemies fall and even the DLC heavy weapon Firestorm will work here. Your allies use of Incinerate will also count as long as you give them the order to do use the power. 36. Overload Specialist Description: Disrupt the shields of 25 enemies Achievement Points: 15G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: This one isn't bad. You or your order given allies have to use Overload on the shields of 25 enemies. This will be easier if you and/or your allies fully evolve Overload. Otherwise, you have to make sure the shield bar is completely gone, or it won't count. The squadmates that can use this power are Garrus, Miranda, and Kasumi (from Kasumi's Stolen Memory). 37. Warp Specialist Description: Warp the barriers of 25 enemies Achievement Points: 15G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: This ones not bad either. You or your allies have to use Warp to get rid of barriers on 25 enemies. Like the last one, make sure the barrier bar is completely gone, or it won't count. It also won't count if your allies use this power at will. The squadmate that can use this power are Miranda, Thane, and Liara (from Lair of the Shadow Broker) 38. Incineration Specialist Description: Incinerate the armor of 25 enemies Achievement Points: 15G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: If you went for the Merciless achievement/trophy, you may or may not have 20 of these under your belt already. If not, then it'll just take longer is all. Make sure the armor bar is completely gone and if your want your ally to help you, make sure you give the order to do so, or it won't count either way. The only squadmate that can use this power is Mordin. 39. Highly Trained Description: View all advanced combat training videos at Shepard's private terminal Achievement Points: 5G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: When you first enter the Normandy, you have two private termenals, one in your room, and one next to the Galaxy Map. It doesn't matter which termenal you look at, just look at all three training videos and you'll unlock this. 40. Operative Description: Complete a mission discovered by scanning an unexplored world Achievement Points: 15G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Refer to Agent. 41. Agent Description: Complete 5 missions discovered by scanning unexplored worlds Achievement Points: 50G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: There are plenty of worlds to get 5 sub-missions at, but I can't list them all, for it'll take up a lot more space than it already has. I will tell you right now that Jacob's Loyalty mission planet and the Normandy crash site DLC does not count for this achievement/trophy. 42. Prospector Description: Retrieve mineral resources by scanning and probing a planet in the galaxy map Achievement Points: 5G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: You'll get this as you go for Agent, so don't worry about missing this. 43. Explorer Description: Visit 100% of the planets in an unexplored cluster Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: This ones sounds drawn out, but it won't take too long if you do it right away. Choose a cluster to explore, fill up and start exploring. You'll get this once you examine your last planet. 44. Power Gamer Description: Reach Level 30 with one character Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: This one can take about two playthroughs, though you could this in one playthrough if you took care of all the sub-missions. You want to avoid the Illusive Man as much as possible if you want to do it in one playthrough. The amount of EXP you need for each level up is 1000. Here's the amount of EXP for each mission type: Story Forced - 1000 EXP (auto-level up) Loyalty - 750 EXP Sub - 125 EXP Town - 40 EXP If you beaten the game at least once, you get a 25% bonus to your EXP. Here's the amount of EXP you get for each type of mission: Story Forced - 1250 EXP (auto-level up, sometimes double level up) Loyalty - 938 EXP (give or take) Sub - 156 EXP (give or take) Town - 50 EXP Hit level 30 and it's yours. 45. Scholar Description: Unlock 15 new Mass Effect 2 codex entries Achievement Points: 15G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: You'll get this as you go through the game, so don't worry about missing it too much. 46. Technician Description: Obtain 10 technology upgrades Achievement Points: 15G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Once Mordin joins you party, the Lab you can reasearch your upgrades at will open up to you. As long as you have the resourses, you can make as many upgrades as you wish. Once you reach 10, it'll unlock. Reasearching them is not the only way to get your tech upgrades. At certain stores (I won't say which ones), you can buy the upgrades and they'll count towards the achievement/trophy. 47. Weapon Specialist Description: Fully upgrade a weapon Achievement Points: 15G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: You need to upgrade a weapon of your choosing. I don't believe Heavy Weapon Upgrades count for this achievement. When you have fully upgraded a weapon, you'll unlock this. Any weapon upgrades purchased from stores will count towards the achievement/trophy. 48. Scientist Description: Complete any research project in the Normandy's laboratory Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Refer to Technician, but you actually have to make something. You'll be going for Weapon Specialist and/or No One Left Behind anyway, so don't worry about not getting this. If your playing the PS3 version of the game, you'll have to go resource hunting on different planets. 49. Fashionista Description: Personalize your armor in your quarters on the Normandy Achievement Points: 5G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: All you need to do is to access your armor before you do a mission. This can be done at any time. You can do this before doing Freedom's Progress and it'll still count (at least it did for me). You don't even have to touch the armor, you can do your casual outfit, it'll count that way. Heck, you don't even have to do anything unless you want to, just hit B (() for PS3), andi it'll unlock that way. 50. Power Full Description: Evolve any power Achievement Points: 15G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: You need to get enough squad points to get this. You need 10 squad points to fully evolve a power, because level 1 costs a point, level 2 costs 2 points, level 3 costs 3 points, and level 4 costs 4 points. I'm not sure if you can do this with your squadmates as well. If you can however, then do the same thing as you would for yourself. 51. N7 Elite Description: Acquire all trophies Achievement Points: N/A Trophy Color: Platinum Guide: This Trophy is for PS3 Players only. You get this when you have all the other Trophies. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Part 5: The Game's DLC Achievements/Trophies and How to unlock them - ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ DLC A: Cerberus Network Cost: Xbox 360: 1200 MSP PS3: $14.99 PC: $15.00 Note: If you brought your game new, you will get a code that allows you to download this for free. 1. Revenge! Description: Gain the loyalty of the mercenary Achievement Points: 15G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: This and the next DLC achievement of the next DLC pack is the same as the 10 other loyalty achievements/trophies of the last part, so refer to The Prodigal for details. Neither Zaeed nor Kasumi will not get into any arguments with any of your squadmates. Who's this for?: Zaeed Can you miss his/her loyalty other than not doing it?: Yes How can his/her loyalty be missed?: If you help out the workers instead of going after Vido and lack a high Paragon rating, he'll be ticked off that you didn't let him get his Revenge. DLC B: Kasumi's Stolen Memory Cost: Xbox 360: 560 MSP PS3: Comes with the game, so free PC: $7.00 2. Broke, Blind and Bedlam Description: Gain the loyalty of the thief Achievement Points: 15G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: Refer to Revenge! and/or The Prodigal for details. Who's this for?: Kasumi Can you miss his/her loyalty other than not doing it?: Not sure You unlock the achievement/trophy after surviving the final boss of the DLC pack, but it might be possible that if you make her erase her memories, you might lose her loyalty. Letting her keep it is the safest option, but telling her that you'll do it if it's easier on her will not effect her loyalty. Then again, it might matter what you tell her their. DLC C: Overlord Cost: Xbox 360: 560 MSP PS3: Comes with the game, so free PC: $7.00 3. Data Hound Description: Collect 6 Cerberus data packets scattered across Aite Achievement Points: 10G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: I'm not sure how to explain this (partly because it's been a while since I attempted this), so I'm going to have you refer to this video for this. The video belongs to Gears360net of Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=QBgIMVwLULo Here are the controls for the hover you'll be riding during this DLC. Action - Xbox 360 - PS3 Jump - A - X Change view - X - [] Collect data packet - Y - /\ Exit - B - () Boost - LT - L2 Fire rockets - RT - R2 I'm not sure how the controls work for the PC version, but if you have an Xbox 360 controler pluged into the computer, then just follow the controls for the Xbox 360 version. I just recieved some infomation for this, so you look at this below or the video link I gave you when I first posted this. bladecloud2 of PeoplePc: There are only 2 without any guns and you can get them easy. I'll get to them later. The 1st one; after you destroy the dish and start the driving part of the mission,(this is the point I'll use for referencing) you turn right imediatly and head for the hill and you'll find a platform at the edge of a cliff with 2 guns. If you play the game on casual, this is a cakewalk, on insanity, you need to take shelter alot. The packedge is on the platform somewhere. The 2nd one; you head strait from the start out towards the stone bridge, Once your on the bridge, and I mean in the middle, you jump off the right side and you fall down into a little valley. There is a ship that has flown into the side of the wall. Right in front of it is the data packet. But there are 2 heavy mecks, one with a rocket launcher, and another with a machine gun. The 3rd one; right before you reach the stone bridge, there is a grass road in the wall to the right of the bridge that you have to take to come to little cliff. If you look off the cliff, you'll find another settlement like the first with 2 guns again. The data packet is on the settlement platform. Now the 4th one is hard to describe; somewhere between the entrence to the 3rd data packet and the entrence to the cave for the final part of the mission, (I dont know the names of the stations) there is another settlement, but to get to this platform, you have to climb a ramp, there are 2 guns protecting this one but you might not have destroy both of them, (I didn't have to) and the packet is again on the platform somewhere. Now these last 2 are easy, the first is at the entrance to the cave for the lava station across the stone bridge on a raised platform, and the second is right in front of the helo pad at the entrance to the last part of the mission on another platform. All the packets are in the part where you get to drive (The big grassland). 4. Digital Exorcist Description: Successfully shut down the rogue VI in Project Overlord Achievement Points: 15G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: DLC story related, so it can't be missed. You'll get this when you get to the end of the DLC DLC D: Lair of the Shadow Broker Cost: Xbox 360: 800 MSP PS3: Comes with the game, so free PC: $10.00 Note: All but one achievement from the Xbox 360/PC version of the game, will not be present here. That one achievement will be listed first. 5. Heart of Darkness Description: Confront the Shadow Broker Achievement Points: 50G Trophy Color: Silver Guide: DLC story related, so it can't be missed. You'll get this when you enter the Shadow Broker's room. 6. Detail Orientated Description: Evolve any power Achievement Points: 40G Trophy Color: N/A Guide: After beating the Shadow Broker, you be in his room with several terminals in it. Examine each one and it'll unlock. Here's the list of all terminals you have to check out and where they are at. The list belongs ananasnaama of TrueAchievements. Dossiers - When you enter the room, on the left. Investment Opportunities - When you enter the room, on the right. Delivery Pickup - Walk across the room, it's in the middle next to the spoiler-free person. Advanced Training - Turn left from Delivery Pickup. Armor Locker - Take the short stairs up from Advanced Training. Video Archive - From the Armor Locker you'll see a door to your left. Go through that door to another room, it's to the left on a small platform. There's also a music datapad in the room next to another spoiler-free person, but it's not counted as a terminal. Upgrades - Exit that room and turn left. Survey Information - Take the short stairs down from the Upgrades and it's on the left next to a round table. 7. Most Dangerous Game Description: Defeat the Shadow Broker’s Assassin Achievement Points: 35G Trophy Color: N/A Guide: DLC story related, so it can't be missed. The assassin's name is Vasir, and she can be quite a ***** on Insane. You'll get this as soon as you kill her. 8. The Hard Way Description: Complete the Shadow Broker Mission pack on Hardcore or Insanity Achievement Points: 50G Trophy Color: N/A Guide: Before you even start the DLC, make sure you are set to either Hardcore or Insanity. If you are going for the Insane achievement, then there's no reason why you should do that since you are on that setting already. After that, make it to the Shadow Broker's room and kick his ***. 9. Catching Up Description: Reminisce with Liara on the Normandy Achievement Points: 25G Trophy Color: N/A Guide: After beating the Shadow Broker, talk to Liara, and she'll want to meet you in your room on the Normandy. Let her do this, and the achievement will unlock as soon as the converation ends. I'm not sure if you have to have romanced with Liara from ME1 in order for this to unlock. DLC E: Arrival Cost: Xbox 360: 560 MSP PS3: $6.99 PC: $7.00 10. Ultimate Sacrifice Description: Complete the Arrival DLC Achievement Points: 50G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: This one is DLC story related, so it can't be missed. You get this when you beat this DLC. 11. Last Stand Description: Complete all 5 waves in the battle for Object Roh Achievement Points: 25G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: DLC Story related, but this one is actually missable. If for some reason you get killed at that point of the DLC, you advance the story anyway, missing this achievement/trophy. (thank you AllChristophe for the correction). Anyway, you get this when you survive all 5 waves in the Object Roh battle. 12. Covert Action Description: Rescue Dr. Amanda Kenson without attracting hostile attention Achievement Points: 25G Trophy Color: Bronze Guide: I'm not sure how I can explain this one (partly because I just brought this at the time), but it seems to be a bit tricky. Because of this, I'm going to have you look at a Youtube video, guiding you through this. The video belongs to Achievement Hunters (Roosterteeth) of Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPZRvBgJ7_w ****************************************************************************** * Part 6: How to Contact me * ****************************************************************************** You have 2 Main ways of contacting me: 1. Send me an E-mail 2. Send me a message on my Gamertag on X-Box Live My E-mail address: shadowjohn91(at)yahoo(dot)com. My Gamertag is Gamer364. This can be done only through a text message. E-mail or Message me if you: A. See a spelling error: I may have made spelling errors as I was writing this. B. Have a question that needs asking: You may have something that needs clearing up or something to that affect. C. Have a correction to make: I'm not 100% sure on some of the stuff mentioned though out the guide. D. Want to use my guide on your website: I personally have no problem letting you use my guide on your website, as long as you ask me first, and you give me credit for it. E. Think you see someone using my guide without permission: I don't like it when people steal my stuff (at least, not without asking me first). I don't do it to other people (at least without giving other people credit for the idea), so why do it to me anyway? F. Have something to add-on to this or that/there's something I forgot to include: If there something you think I should have included, but I didn't, you are encouraged to send me an Email for this or that. Do note that if you do decide you want to message me, make sure if the topic is about Mass Effect 2. As of right now the only sites that have permission to use my guide: A. GameFAQs (I have an account with them, so they don't really need my permission.) B. Neoseeker (They have advanced permission) C. SuperCheats More to come (maybe). Don't even think about email me if you are going to send me: A. Hate Mail B. Spam C. Name Calling mail D. Barely readable/Unreadable mail E. Mail with mostly creative words (if you get my drift) Letter A I take offence to, because I don't send hate mail to no one. I have a Spam safeguard with yahoo, and it'll tell me if I have spam or not with Letter B. Also, if I think your trying sending me spam on Xbox Live, don't think I won't write a complaint about you, and/or tell Microsoft on you. With letter C, I also take offence, because I get name called in school. Letter D, If your sending me an E-mail, have spell check available to you and you’re not sure of your spelling, then why not use it? Letter E, Unless I messed up that badly, there's really no reason for that anyway. All of these things can and will make me think your a bad person, when in reality your probably not. All in all, just don't do it. Follow these rules, and if you add-on and/or correct something, I'll give you credit for it. Note: Don't get discouraged if I don't answer you right away. Sometimes, I might be on the Computer and sometimes I'll be on Xbox Live. Your best bet is to send both an E-mail and an Xbox Live message. That way if I don't get one of your messages, I'll still be able to get the other message. Even then, I might still not get your message right away. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- | Part 7: Legal Junk, Special Thanks and Other Guides I've Done | =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Legal Junk This guide is copyrighted and written by me.
