It activates 5 rings over the hill just ahead. 2) Just past a series of bumps and around a bend, this icon enlarges the hill just ahead of it, allowing for a turbo jump. 3) After the jump above, this icon activates falling boulders between it and the finish line. This is useful if there is someone ahead of you as it would throw them off, and might cause them to wreak. Shortcuts: 1. 1) After the rings (! Icon 1) is a POW icon and a long row of trees. Pick up the icon, run through the trees, then jump at the end to land in a forest of trees. Navigate your way through for a 10 star tree run. Fiji: Atoll Hop Rating: 1/10 B Grade: 120 S Grade: 150 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 8 POW)1 Description of ! icons: 1) After the start of the race, this icon is on the upper path. It enlarges the hill up ahead, allowing for a turbo jump. 2) After landing from ! #1, there is another jump. If you make it a short jump and don't press turbo, you will find ! #2. This one activates 5 rings and enlarges the hill ahead, allowing for a 5 star air as well as a 5 star ring. 3) After landing from ! #2, take the right path (along the bridge). On the sandbar is the next ! icon. This one activates 5 Rings on the jump ahead. 4) After landing from ! #2, take the left path. This icon activates 5 rings up ahead. 5) After ! #3-4 and around the bend just before the hill. This icon lowers the hill, making it easier to climb. 6) After climbing the hill from ! #5 and landing from a small cliff. This icon lowers the ground ahead, opening the way for a shortcut (see below) and a puddle to cool your engine in. 7) After #6 and just past the rocky water fall (overhead), take the right path. This ! icon lowers the ground and make the rest of the course submerged in water. This allowed for turbo boosting and some major drifts. 8) After drifting a while from #7, this ! icon is up a steep hill. It activates the volcano up past the finish line... not sure why as it really doesn't do anything. Shortcuts: 2. 1) From the starting line, take the upper (left) path. Pick up ! #1 and do a turbo jump. Only instead of landing on the path, veer to the left and land in the trees. This should get you a 5 star tree run. 2) After activating ! #6, you will see a POW icon on the left. Pick it up and there should be a nice long row of trees in front of you. Run by them for a 5-10 star tree run and a 5 star air for jumping at the end. Canada: Puddle Jump Rating: 2/10 B Grade: 135 S Grade: 170 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 8 POW) 1 Description of ! icons: 1) After the wide bend from the starting line, just to the right of the large rock. This ! icon activates 5 rings up ahead and alters the ground, allowing for a turbo jump. 2) After landing from ! #1 and around the bend, take the left path. The icon lowers the road ahead, if you're quick enough you can turbo jump just after hitting it. 3) After landing for ! #2, straight ahead. This icon raises the ground ahead and activates 5 rings. 4) After landing from ! #3 (be careful not to over-shoot!). This icon raises the ground ahead, allowing you to jump right over the side of the cliff ahead. (DO NOT ACTIVATE THIS IF YOU WANT TO TAKE THE HIGH ROAD) 5) After landing from ! #4 (careful not to over-shoot again). This icon lowers the terrain ahead and covers it in water, allowing for constant turbo and drifts. 6) After drifting from ! #5 and around a bend. This icon activates 5 rings and makes a hill to jump off of. 7) After landing from ! #6 and going under the bridge. This icon lowers the ground ahead (but not the main path) opening the way for a shortcut. 8) After going under the second bridge and up the hill, its around the sharp bend at the top. This icon raises the ground just ahead, making it easy to get a 5 star air. Shortcuts: 2. 1) As soon as the race start veer left into the trees and cut the curve. This should result in a 5 star tree run and a 5 star drift. 2) Activate ! #7, pick up the POW icon ahead and run by the two rows of trees straight ahead. This should give you a nice 10-20 star tree run. Scotland: Sylvan Glen Rating: 1/10 B Grade: 110 S Grade: 135 Number of laps: 3 Number of icons: !) 4 POW) 1 Description of ! icons: 1) Right after start just past the POW icon (on the right side of the track). This icon raises the ground around the bend, making easier to turbo jump. 2) After landing from ! #1 and around the bend. This icon raises the ground ahead. 3) After landing from ! #2. This icon lowers the ground immediately ahead, but raises the ground a little farther down the road and activates 5 rings. 4) After landing from ! #3 and going around the bend. This icon raised the ground ahead and activates 5 rings. Shortcuts: none. The POW icon at the beginning of the course means nothing (but you should pick it up anyway). ----------------------- 2.2)- Silver Cup ----------------------------- Mexico: Dusty Pass Rating: 2/10 B Grade: 85 S Grade: 105 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 5 POW) 1 Description of ! icons: 1) This one is actually a fair way into the course for once. After you pass through the enclosed canyon area, make sure your car is aligned with the center of the track or else you'll miss it 9you cant see it coming). It exponentially raises the ground ahead, allowing for a turbo jump. 2) After landing from ! #1, this icon is off to the left side. It destroys some rocks blocking the path ahead (not he main path) opening the way for a shortcut. 3) To the right of ! #2 (IE, on the main path). This icon raises the ground ahead, allowing for a turbo jump. 4) After landing from the jumping over the pond and going around the bend on the right side (the main path). This icon activates 5 rings past the jump ahead. 5) After landing from the jumping over the pond and going around the bend on the left side (amongst the trees). This icon lowers the ground ahead... which doesn't really do anything since you cant get a good tree run. Shortcuts: 1. 1) After landing from ! #1, head for ! #2 and run by the trees into the opening created by ! #2. There you will find a POW icon. Pick it up and navigate the trees to the jump at the end. This should net you a 10-20 star tree run, as well as some air stars. Finland: Iceberg Run Rating: 2/10 B Grade: 100 S Grade: 125 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 8 POW) 1 Description of ! icons: 1) After going over the series of bumps after the starting line. This icon is off to the left side behind a tree. You need to position yourself on the right side of the road and cut across. Don't worry about hitting the wall behind the ! icon, as the icon lowers the wall and allows for a turbo jump and a shortcut. 2) Around the bend from ! #1 (assuming you didn't pick up ! #1). This icon makes an oil tower collapse... and doesn't really do anything. 3) After jumping over the body of water and landing on the right platform. This icon activates 5 rings. 4) After landing from ! #3, this icon causes the ice overpass up ahead partially collapse... again this doesn't effect anything. 5) After finishing the right sides series of jumps (you can tell your done when you see trees ahead, that's the mainland). This icon greatly raises the ground ahead allowing for a turbo jump. 6) This one can only be got if you took the left path. Its right in front of you after you land on the mainland. It rasis the path ahead allowing for a small turbo jump. 7) Continuing along the right path, just after landing from ! #5 and going around the bend. This icon causes the ground directly in front of you to lower, but the ground up ahead to raise, allowing for a bigger jump. Shortcuts: 8) After landing from ! #6, just as the two paths are merging back together. This icon raises the ground ahead, allowing for a turbo jump. Shortcuts: 2. 1) see ! #1. 2) Ok, this one is a little complicated. After activating ! #5 and raising the ground, jump so that you are pointed to the left. You should see a POW icon below on the left path just before a long series of trees. You know what to do. Land on the POW icon, and race through the trees. Though it is more profitable to stay on the right path, and skip this "shortcut" unless you are behind and need to catch up. Scotland: Highland Moors Rating: 2/10 B Grade: 105 S Grade: 130 Number of laps: 3 Number of icons: !) 4 POW) 1 Description of ! icons: 1) At the bottom of the hill and around the bend. This icon raises the hill ahead and activates 5 rings. 2) After landing from ! #1 and around the bend. This icon raises the sides of the pond, creating a halfpipe... doesn't really affect anything (unless you want to take shortcut #2). 3) After the halfpipe and around the bend. This icon activates 5 rings over the jump ahead. 4) After landing from ! #3 and taking the sharp bend thereafter. A little ways down the road is ! #4. This icon permanently (as in, you don't have to activate it next lap) raises the ground ahead. Shortcuts: 3. 1) After the starting line, cut the corner and go through the trees. This should net you a 3-5 star tree run (just make sure not to miss ! #1). 2) It is vital to the shortcut that you DON'T ACTIVATE ! #2. If you don't activate ! #2, the ground stays as is and there is a small bump just before the bend and before some trees to the left. Angle your jump so you go straight over the trees and land just before ! #3 (make sure to straighten yourself out so you land in line with the path). 3) Only accessible after the first lap (assuming you activated ! #4). After landing from ! #3, turn hard to the right and cut the corner where ! #4 used to be. Fiji: Beach Run Rating: 3/10 B Grade: 140 S Grade: 175 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 12 POW) 2 Description of ! icons: 1) Take the right road after start and you'll see an ! icon. This icon raises the ground ahead allowing for a turbo jump. 2) If you took the right path, this icon is just at where the two paths merge. It activates five rings over the jump just ahead. 3) If you took the left path, at the end of all the jumps is a ! icon. This icon raises the ground, making it suitable for a turbo jump. 4) This ties into shortcut #1. Look it up there. 5) This ties into shortcut #1. Look it up there. 6) If you took the main path, then just past the bend is another ! icon. This one lowers the ground in front of you and floods it, while at the same time raises the ground a little up ahead, allowing for a turbo jump (ONLY CLIMB THE HILL AND JUMP IF YOU WANT TO TAKE THE UPPER PATH). 7) If you took the high (right) road from ! #5, its around the bend. This one does the exact same as ! #5. 8) If you took the lower path, the just up ahead is a ! icon. This icon raises the ground ahead and allows for a turbo jump. 9) On the low road, just after landing from ! #8. This icon activates 5 rings over the jump ahead. 10) Around the bend from where the two roads merge. This icon raises the ground ahead, making useable for a turbo jump. 11) If you took the low road from the jump after ! #7, make sure to cut your jump short and land on an ! icon. This icon lowers the road ahead and floods it, allowing for constant turbo and drifts. 12) After the two roads merge (they split again after ! #7), under the rock overpass and around the bend. This icon activates 5 rings over the jump ahead. Shortcuts: 1) After you land from ! #3 you will see a POW icon. Pick it up and run through the row of trees behind it. you should pick up a ! icon on your way. This will raise the ground and allow for a POW powered turbo jump. Stay straight and look for another ! icon below. Land just before it and pick it up. This one also raises the ground, so jump off of it and land on the lower path. This sets you down just a little before ! # 9. 2) After ! #12 you should see a POW icon and a row of trees. Pick it up and run through the trees straight through the finish line. This should net you a 10-20 star tree run. China: Water Way Rating: 2/10 B Grade: 100 S Grade: 130 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 6 POW) 1 Description of ! icons: 1) After the starting line and around the bend. This icon lowers the ground ahead. You can turbo jump as soon as you hit the icon if you're quick enough. 2) Under the great wall and around the bend. This icon makes lightning strike off in the distance... another icon that doesn't do anything. 3) After ! #2, around a slight bend and in the water. This icon makes a large jump appear out of nowhere just in front of you. 4) After landing from ! #3, this icon activates the geyser in front of you... and that's it. nothing of any use happens. 5) Around the bend after ! #4. this icon makes a large jump appear on the left side of the road. 6) After landing from ! #5 (or taking shortcut #1), up the hill and around a slight bend. This icon lowers the ground in the immediate area, but makes a big jump and five rings appear on the road ahead. Shortcuts: 1. 1) Don't take the jump created by ! 4. instead, stay on the low ground and drift over to the left side. Around the bend should be a POW icon. Pick it up and run through the bamboo ahead (bamboo = trees). This should net you a 5-10 star tree run. ------------------------ 2.3)- Gold Cup ------------------------------ Canada: River Run Rating: 3/10 B Grade: 150 S Grade: 185 Number of laps: 3 Number of icons: !) 5 POW) 2 Description of ! icons: 1) A little ways into the course, after you jump the body of water. This icon lowers the ground in the immediate area and floods it, but raises the hill a little ways out and activates 5 rings. 2) After landing from ! #1, this icon lowers the ground in front of you. This opens the way for shortcut #3. 3) After shortcut #3, take the lower (left) path. A little ways in is a ! icon. This icon activates 5 rings and raises the ground to jump off of. 4) After shortcut #3, take the upper path. Right at the start is a ! icon. This icon raises the hill in front of you, resulting in more air. 5) This icon is only used during shortcut #4. Look it up there. Shortcuts: 4. 1) Just after the start of the race. When you're going up the big hill, near the top there should be some trees off to the right (opposite the water tower) jump off this side of the hill (just to the left of the trees) you should be able to get 5 star air, a 1080 degree spin, and a small tree run as well. 2) Just after you land from shortcut #1, there should be a POW icon. Pick it up and jump through the trees and under the bridge. This should net you a 3 star air, and a 3-5 star tree run. 3) Snag ! # 3, it lowers the hill and open up a nice 10 star tree run to the left of the road at the bottom of the hill. 4) Just as you are approaching the finish line (you should see a big tornado), there is a POW icon, pick it up and head toward the ! icon hidden in the trees (it might take you a few tries to find it), this will open up another 10 star tree run and, if you jump at the top of the path, a 5 star air and 1080 degree spin. Finland: Tanker Hop Rating: 3/10 B Grade: 95 S Grade: 120 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 7 POW) 2 Description of ! icons: 1) After drifting a long way from start, take the left path. The icon you see will heighten the jump ahead of it, and move the massive oil tanker so that you jump over it (hence the name "tanker hop") 2) After drifting a long way from start, take the right path. This icon also raises the ground ahead, but not as much as ! #1. 3) Another icon lies in what on the right path. This icon fells a couple of trees, raises the ground around the bend, and activates 5 rings. 4) After the paths merge then split again (just after you land from ! #1), take the left path. After a small jump and a small bend, another ! icon lays before you. This icon raises the ground ahead of you and activates 5 rings. 5) After landing from ! #4, take the left path again. This icon greatly raises the ground ahead, meaning a massive jump. 6) Just after landing from ! #5 (as you are climbing up the hill after the paths merge again). This icon raises the left bank at the top of the hill, which helps keep you from fall off the edge. 7) Up the road a little way from ! #6 on a ski slope. This icon activates 5 rings. Shortcuts: 1. 1) You must take the right path at the second split (just after ! #4) there is a POW icon and a forest of trees. There is no clear path, so just do your best. China: Northern Ridge Rating: 4/10 B Grade: 100 S Grade: 125 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 4 POW)1 Description of ! icons: 1) After the series of bumps and jumps from the starting line and around the bend. This icon greatly raises the ground in front of you, allowing you to jump the great wall. 2) After you pass through the great wall and fall off the cliff. The icon causes the big stone statue like thing to fall over, partially obstructing the path. 3) Under the bridge and through the halfpipe, this icon lowers the ground in front of you, while creating huge jumps down the road as well as 5 rings. 4) After the second jump from ! #3 and just before the finish line. This icon activates 5 rings over the jump just ahead. Shortcuts: 1. 1) After ! #2, past the pond, and around the bend. There is a POW icon waiting. Pick it up and plow through the trees (ok, well try to miss as many as possible). This isn't really the best course of action though, as the forest is so thick its hard to get a good tree run. Its best to grab the POW icon then continue under the bridge like normal. Scotland: Castle Keep Rating: 4/10 B Grade: 130 S Grade: 160 Number of laps: 3 Number of icons: !) 4 POW) 1 Description of ! icons: 1) Over the first jump and around the bend, this icon raises the ground in front of you and activates 5 rings. 2) After landing from ! #1 and going around the bend. This icon raises the ground in front of you and allows you to jump part of the castle. 3) Around the bend and over the bumps after landing from ! #2. this icon activates 5 rings over the jump ahead. 4) Just after landing from ! #3. this icon raises the drawbridge to form a massive jump. Shortcuts: 1) WARNING! EXPERTS AND SMALL CARS ONLY! While in air from ! #2 jump, you should see a You should see a very, very small path in the trees to the right. Veer to the right. Follow it around to gain some 30-40 stars in tree runs... but you will lose precious time, so only attempt this when you are in first or don't really care. 2) WARNING! EXPERTS AND SMALL CARS ONLY! Just after landing from ! #4 you should see a POW icon on the right side of the road. Grab it and follow the path through the trees. It isn't very well defined, to stay sharp. Fiji: Mountain Run Rating: 5/10 B Grade: 115 S Grade: 140 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 9 POW) 2 Description of ! icons: 1) After the starting line and around the bend. Take the lower (left) path to find a ! icon. This icon changes the landscape, but not really in a usable way. 2) After ! #1 just before the roads merge on the left side of the road. This icon raises the ground ahead allowing for a bigger jump. 3) After landing from ! #2, take the right path. This icon activates 5 rings over the jump ahead. 4) Before the paths merge, on the right path just ahead of ! #3. This icon raises the ground ahead allowing for a bigger jump. 5) After the paths merge (again) and after a small pool of water. This icon lowers the ground ahead making it easier to climb. 6) After coming off the hill from ! #4. This icon activates rings on the right path up ahead. 7) If you take the right path at ! #6, after the jump. This icon destroys all the explosives along the shore line. 8) If you take the left path back at ! #6. this icon raises the ground ahead making for a massive jump. 9) If you are still on the left path after landing, this icon will lower the trees dead ahead and make that area accessible. This allows for several tree runs. Shortcuts: 1. 1) WARNING! EXPERTS AND SMALL CARS ONLY! This one is extremely hard. I'd recommend just skipping it. anyway, after landing from ! #2 take the left path. On one of the bends is a POW icon. Pick it up and be careful not to hit any tree until you are around the bend. Once you are, there should be a row of trees up ahead over a small embankment. ----------------------- 2.4)- Platinum Cup --------------------------- Finland: Ski Jump Loop Rating: 6/10 B Grade: 95 S Grade: 115 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !)8 POW) 2 Description of ! icons: 1) Take the right path from the starting line. Over the hill and there it is. This icon activates 5 rings over the next jump. 2) Take the left path from start. go around the winding road for a little ways and you'll find it. This icon raises the ground in front of you and activates 5 rings. 3) After landing from ! #2. This icon heightens the embankment at the top of the hill helping you not to fall off. 4) Either take the left path from the starting line or veer left after landing from ! #1, it is in mid-air just off the ski jump. Turbo jump to get it. this icon is will activate 5 rings over the ski jump. 5) After landing from ! #1 and taking the right path. This icon raises the ground ahead, allowing for a massive jump. 6) Take the left path after landing and drifting around the long bend from ! #4-5. there is a POW icon followed by a ! icon. The ! icon activates 5 rings over the next jump. 7) Just after landing from ! #6. this icon causes the ice overpass up ahead to partly collapse. 8) After the roads merge back together and just before the finish line. This icon activates 5 rings up ahead. 5) After ! #3-4 and around the bend just before the hill. This icon lowers the hill, making it easier to climb. 6) After climbing the hill from ! #5 and landing from a small cliff. After you pass through the enclosed canyon area, make sure your car is aligned with the center of the track or else you'll miss it 9you cant see it coming). It destroys some rocks blocking the path ahead (not he main path) opening the way for a shortcut. 3) To the right of ! #2 (IE, on the main path). This icon raises the ground ahead, allowing for a turbo jump. 4) After landing from the jumping over the pond and going around the bend on the right side (the main path). This icon activates 5 rings past the jump ahead. 5) After landing from the jumping over the pond and going around the bend on the left side (amongst the trees). This icon lowers the ground ahead... which doesn't really do anything since you cant get a good tree run. Shortcuts: 1. 1) After landing from ! #1, head for ! #2 and run by the trees into the opening created by ! #2. There you will find a POW icon. Pick it up and navigate the trees to the jump at the end. This should net you a 10-20 star tree run, as well as some air stars. Finland: Iceberg Run Rating: 3/10 B Grade: 110 S Grade: 140 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 8 POW) 1 Description of ! icons: 1) After going over the series of bumps after the starting line. This icon is off to the left side behind a tree. You need to position yourself on the right side of the road and cut across. Don't worry about hitting the wall behind the ! icon, as the icon lowers the wall and allows for a turbo jump and a shortcut. 2) Around the bend from ! #1 (assuming you didn't pick up ! #1). This icon makes an oil tower collapse... and doesn't really do anything. 3) After jumping over the body of water and landing on the right platform. This icon activates 5 rings. 4) After landing from ! #3, this icon causes the ice overpass up ahead partially collapse... again this doesn't effect anything. 5) After finishing the right sides series of jumps (you can tell your done when you see trees ahead, that's the mainland). This icon greatly raises the ground ahead allowing for a turbo jump. 6) This one can only be got if you took the left path. Its right in front of you after you land on the mainland. It rasis the path ahead allowing for a small turbo jump. 7) Continuing along the right path, just after landing from ! #5 and going around the bend. This icon causes the ground directly in front of you to lower, but the ground up ahead to raise, allowing for a bigger jump. Shortcuts: 8) After landing from ! #6, just as the two paths are merging back together. This icon raises the ground ahead, allowing for a turbo jump. This icon permanently (as in, you don't have to activate it next lap) raises the ground ahead. Shortcuts: 3. 1) After the starting line, cut the corner and go through the trees. This should net you a 3-5 star tree run (just make sure not to miss ! #1). 2) It is vital to the shortcut that you DON'T ACTIVATE ! #2. If you don't activate ! #2, the ground stays as is and there is a small bump just before the bend and before some trees to the left. Angle your jump so you go straight over the trees and land just before ! #3 (make sure to straighten yourself out so you land in line with the path). 3) Only accessible after the first lap (assuming you activated ! #4). After landing from ! #3, turn hard to the right and cut the corner where ! #4 used to be. Fiji: Beach Run Rating: 4/10 B Grade: 155 S Grade: 195 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 12 POW) 2 Description of ! icons: 1) Take the right road after start and you'll see an ! icon. This one does the exact same as ! #5. 8) If you took the lower path, the just up ahead is a ! icon. This icon raises the ground ahead and allows for a turbo jump. 9) On the low road, just after landing from ! #8. This icon activates 5 rings over the jump ahead. 10) Around the bend from where the two roads merge. This icon raises the ground ahead, making useable for a turbo jump. 11) If you took the low road from the jump after ! #7, make sure to cut your jump short and land on an ! icon. This sets you down just a little before ! # 9. 2) After ! #12 you should see a POW icon and a row of trees. Pick it up and run through the trees straight through the finish line. This should net you a 10-20 star tree run. China: Water Way Rating: 4/10 B Grade: 115 S Grade: 140 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 6 POW) 1 Description of ! icons: 1) After the starting line and around the bend. This icon lowers the ground ahead. You can turbo jump as soon as you hit the icon if you're quick enough. 2) Under the great wall and around the bend. This icon makes lightning strike off in the distance... another icon that doesn't do anything. 3) After ! #2, around a slight bend and in the water. This icon makes a large jump appear out of nowhere just in front of you. 4) After landing from ! #3, this icon activates the geyser in front of you... and that's it. nothing of any use happens. 5) Around the bend after ! #4. this icon makes a large jump appear on the left side of the road. 6) After landing from ! #5 (or taking shortcut #1), up the hill and around a slight bend. This icon lowers the ground in the immediate area, but makes a big jump and five rings appear on the road ahead. Shortcuts: 1. 1) Don't take the jump created by ! 4. instead, stay on the low ground and drift over to the left side. Around the bend should be a POW icon. Pick it up and run through the bamboo ahead (bamboo = trees). This should net you a 5-10 star tree run. ------------------------ 3.3)- Gold Cup ------------------------------ Canada: River Run Rating: 4/10 B Grade: 165 S Grade: 205 Number of laps: 3 Number of icons: !) 5 POW) 2 Description of ! icons: 1) A little ways into the course, after you jump the body of water. This icon lowers the ground in the immediate area and floods it, but raises the hill a little ways out and activates 5 rings. 2) After landing from ! #1, this icon lowers the ground in front of you. This opens the way for shortcut #3. 3) After shortcut #3, take the lower (left) path. A little ways in is a ! icon. This icon activates 5 rings and raises the ground to jump off of. 4) After shortcut #3, take the upper path. Right at the start is a ! icon. This icon raises the hill in front of you, resulting in more air. 5) This icon is only used during shortcut #4. Look it up there. Shortcuts: 4. 1) Just after the start of the race. When you're going up the big hill, near the top there should be some trees off to the right (opposite the water tower) jump off this side of the hill (just to the left of the trees) you should be able to get 5 star air, a 1080 degree spin, and a small tree run as well. 2) Just after you land from shortcut #1, there should be a POW icon. Pick it up and jump through the trees and under the bridge. This should net you a 3 star air, and a 3-5 star tree run. 3) Snag ! # 3, it lowers the hill and open up a nice 10 star tree run to the left of the road at the bottom of the hill. 4) Just as you are approaching the finish line (you should see a big tornado), there is a POW icon, pick it up and head toward the ! icon hidden in the trees (it might take you a few tries to find it), this will open up another 10 star tree run and, if you jump at the top of the path, a 5 star air and 1080 degree spin. Finland: Tanker Hop Rating: 5/10 B Grade: 110 S Grade: 135 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 7 POW) 2 Description of ! icons: 1) After drifting a long way from start, take the left path. The icon you see will heighten the jump ahead of it, and move the massive oil tanker so that you jump over it (hence the name "tanker hop") 2) After drifting a long way from start, take the right path. This icon also raises the ground ahead, but not as much as ! #1. 3) Another icon lies in what on the right path. This icon fells a couple of trees, raises the ground around the bend, and activates 5 rings. 4) After the paths merge then split again (just after you land from ! #1), take the left path. After a small jump and a small bend, another ! icon lays before you. This icon raises the ground ahead of you and activates 5 rings. 5) After landing from ! #4, take the left path again. This icon greatly raises the ground ahead, meaning a massive jump. 6) Just after landing from ! #5 (as you are climbing up the hill after the paths merge again). This icon raises the left bank at the top of the hill, which helps keep you from fall off the edge. 7) Up the road a little way from ! #6 on a ski slope. This icon activates 5 rings. Shortcuts: 1. 1) You must take the right path at the second split (just after ! #4) there is a POW icon and a forest of trees. There is no clear path, so just do your best. China: Northern Ridge Rating: 6/10 B Grade: 110 S Grade: 140 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 4 POW)1 Description of ! icons: 1) After the series of bumps and jumps from the starting line and around the bend. This icon greatly raises the ground in front of you, allowing you to jump the great wall. 2) After you pass through the great wall and fall off the cliff. The icon causes the big stone statue like thing to fall over, partially obstructing the path. 3) Under the bridge and through the halfpipe, this icon lowers the ground in front of you, while creating huge jumps down the road as well as 5 rings. 4) After the second jump from ! #3 and just before the finish line. This icon activates 5 rings over the jump just ahead. Shortcuts: 1. 1) After ! #2, past the pond, and around the bend. There is a POW icon waiting. Pick it up and plow through the trees (ok, well try to miss as many as possible). This isn't really the best course of action though, as the forest is so thick its hard to get a good tree run. Its best to grab the POW icon then continue under the bridge like normal. Scotland: Castle Keep Rating: 5/10 B Grade: 145 S Grade: 175 Number of laps: 3 Number of icons: !) 4 POW) 1 Description of ! icons: 1) Over the first jump and around the bend, this icon raises the ground in front of you and activates 5 rings. 2) After landing from ! #1 and going around the bend. This icon activates 5 rings up ahead. 5) After ! #3-4 and around the bend just before the hill. This icon lowers the hill, making it easier to climb. 6) After climbing the hill from ! #5 and landing from a small cliff. This icon lowers the ground ahead, opening the way for a shortcut (see below) and a puddle to cool your engine in. 7) After #6 and just past the rocky water fall (overhead), take the left path. This ! icon lowers the ground and make the rest of the course submerged in water. This allowed for turbo boosting and some major drifts. 8) After drifting a while from #7, this ! icon is up a steep hill. It activates the volcano up past the finish line... not sure why as it really doesn't do anything. Shortcuts: 2. 1) From the starting line, take the upper (right) path. Pick up ! #1 and do a turbo jump. Only instead of landing on the path, veer to the right and land in the trees. This should get you a 5 star tree run. 2) After activating ! #6, you will see a POW icon on the right. Pick it up and there should be a nice long row of trees in front of you. After you pass through the enclosed canyon area, make sure your car is aligned with the center of the track or else you'll miss it 9you cant see it coming). It destroys some rocks blocking the path ahead (not he main path) opening the way for a shortcut. 3) To the left of ! #2 (IE, on the main path). This icon raises the ground ahead, allowing for a turbo jump. 4) After landing from the jumping over the pond and going around the bend on the left side (the main path). This icon activates 5 rings past the jump ahead. 5) After landing from the jumping over the pond and going around the bend on the right side (amongst the trees). This icon lowers the ground ahead... which doesn't really do anything since you cant get a good tree run. Shortcuts: 1. 1) After landing from ! #1, head for ! #2 and run by the trees into the opening created by ! #2. There you will find a POW icon. Pick it up and navigate the trees to the jump at the end. This should net you a 10-20 star tree run, as well as some air stars. Finland: Iceberg Run B Grade: 110 S Grade: 140 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 8 POW) 1 Description of ! icons: 1) After going over the series of bumps after the starting line. This icon is off to the right side behind a tree. You need to position yourself on the left side of the road and cut across. Don't worry about hitting the wall behind the ! icon, as the icon lowers the wall and allows for a turbo jump and a shortcut. 2) Around the bend from ! #1 (assuming you didn't pick up ! #1). This icon makes an oil tower collapse... and doesn't really do anything. 3) After jumping over the body of water and landing on the left platform. This icon activates 5 rings. 4) After landing from ! #3, this icon causes the ice overpass up ahead partially collapse... again this doesn't effect anything. 5) After finishing the left sides series of jumps (you can tell your done when you see trees ahead, that's the mainland). This icon greatly raises the ground ahead allowing for a turbo jump. 6) This one can only be got if you took the right path. Its left in front of you after you land on the mainland. It rasis the path ahead allowing for a small turbo jump. 7) Continuing along the left path, just after landing from ! #5 and going around the bend. This icon causes the ground directly in front of you to lower, but the ground up ahead to raise, allowing for a bigger jump. Shortcuts: 8) After landing from ! #6, just as the two paths are merging back together. This icon raises the ground ahead, allowing for a turbo jump. Shortcuts: 2. 1) see ! #1. 2) Ok, this one is a little complicated. After activating ! #5 and raising the ground, jump so that you are pointed to the right. You should see a POW icon below on the right path just before a long series of trees. You know what to do. Land on the POW icon, and race through the trees. Though it is more profitable to stay on the left path, and skip this "shortcut" unless you are behind and need to catch up. Scotland: Highland Moors B Grade: 115 S Grade: 145 Number of laps: 3 Number of icons: !) 4 POW) 1 Description of ! icons: 1) At the bottom of the hill and around the bend. This icon raises the hill ahead and activates 5 rings. 2) After landing from ! #1 and around the bend. This icon raises the sides of the pond, creating a halfpipe... doesn't really affect anything (unless you want to take shortcut #2). 3) After the halfpipe and around the bend. This icon activates 5 rings over the jump ahead. 4) After landing from ! #3 and taking the sharp bend thereafter. A little ways down the road is ! #4. This icon permanently (as in, you don't have to activate it next lap) raises the ground ahead. Shortcuts: 3. 1) After the starting line, cut the corner and go through the trees. This should net you a 3-5 star tree run (just make sure not to miss ! #1). 2) It is vital to the shortcut that you DON'T ACTIVATE ! #2. If you don't activate ! #2, the ground stays as is and there is a small bump just before the bend and before some trees to the right. Angle your jump so you go straight over the trees and land just before ! #3 (make sure to straighten yourself out so you land in line with the path). 3) Only accessible after the first lap (assuming you activated ! #4). After landing from ! #3, turn hard to the left and cut the corner where ! #4 used to be. Fiji: Beach Run B Grade: 155 S Grade: 195 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 12 POW) 2 Description of ! icons: 1) Take the left road after start and you'll see an ! icon. This icon raises the ground ahead allowing for a turbo jump. 2) If you took the left path, this icon is just at where the two paths merge. It activates five rings over the jump just ahead. 3) If you took the right path, at the end of all the jumps is a ! icon. This icon raises the ground, making it suitable for a turbo jump. 4) This ties into shortcut #1. Look it up there. 5) This ties into shortcut #1. Look it up there. 6) If you took the main path, then just past the bend is another ! icon. This one lowers the ground in front of you and floods it, while at the same time raises the ground a little up ahead, allowing for a turbo jump (ONLY CLIMB THE HILL AND JUMP IF YOU WANT TO TAKE THE UPPER PATH). 7) If you took the high (left) road from ! #5, its around the bend. This one does the exact same as ! #5. 8) If you took the lower path, the just up ahead is a ! icon. This icon raises the ground ahead and allows for a turbo jump. 9) On the low road, just after landing from ! #8. This icon activates 5 rings over the jump ahead. 10) Around the bend from where the two roads merge. This icon raises the ground ahead, making useable for a turbo jump. 11) If you took the low road from the jump after ! #7, make sure to cut your jump short and land on an ! icon. This icon lowers the road ahead and floods it, allowing for constant turbo and drifts. 12) After the two roads merge (they split again after ! #7), under the rock overpass and around the bend. This icon activates 5 rings over the jump ahead. Shortcuts: 1) After you land from ! #3 you will see a POW icon. Pick it up and run through the row of trees behind it. you should pick up a ! icon on your way. This will raise the ground and allow for a POW powered turbo jump. Stay straight and look for another ! icon below. Land just before it and pick it up. This one also raises the ground, so jump off of it and land on the lower path. This sets you down just a little before ! # 9. 2) After ! #12 you should see a POW icon and a row of trees. Pick it up and run through the trees straight through the finish line. This should net you a 10-20 star tree run. China: Water Way B Grade: 115 S Grade: 140 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 6 POW) 1 Description of ! icons: 1) After the starting line and around the bend. This icon lowers the ground ahead. You can turbo jump as soon as you hit the icon if you're quick enough. 2) Under the great wall and around the bend. This icon makes lightning strike off in the distance... another icon that doesn't do anything. 3) After ! #2, around a slight bend and in the water. This icon makes a large jump appear out of nowhere just in front of you. 4) After landing from ! #3, this icon activates the geyser in front of you... and that's it. nothing of any use happens. 5) Around the bend after ! #4. this icon makes a large jump appear on the right side of the road. 6) After landing from ! #5 (or taking shortcut #1), up the hill and around a slight bend. This icon lowers the ground in the immediate area, but makes a big jump and five rings appear on the road ahead. Shortcuts: 1. 1) Don't take the jump created by ! 4. instead, stay on the low ground and drift over to the right side. Around the bend should be a POW icon. Pick it up and run through the bamboo ahead (bamboo = trees). This should net you a 5-10 star tree run. ------------------------ 4.3)- Gold Cup ------------------------------ Canada: River Run B Grade: 165 S Grade: 205 Number of laps: 3 Number of icons: !) 5 POW) 2 Description of ! icons: 1) A little ways into the course, after you jump the body of water. This icon lowers the ground in the immediate area and floods it, but raises the hill a little ways out and activates 5 rings. 2) After landing from ! #1, this icon lowers the ground in front of you. This opens the way for shortcut #3. 3) After shortcut #3, take the lower (right) path. A little ways in is a ! icon. This icon activates 5 rings and raises the ground to jump off of. 4) After shortcut #3, take the upper path. Left at the start is a ! icon. This icon raises the hill in front of you, resulting in more air. 5) This icon is only used during shortcut #4. Look it up there. Shortcuts: 4. 1) Just after the start of the race. When you're going up the big hill, near the top there should be some trees off to the left (opposite the water tower) jump off this side of the hill (just to the right of the trees) you should be able to get 5 star air, a 1080 degree spin, and a small tree run as well. 2) Just after you land from shortcut #1, there should be a POW icon. Pick it up and jump through the trees and under the bridge. This should net you a 3 star air, and a 3-5 star tree run. 3) Snag ! # 3, it lowers the hill and open up a nice 10 star tree run to the right of the road at the bottom of the hill. 4) Just as you are approaching the finish line (you should see a big tornado), there is a POW icon, pick it up and head toward the ! icon hidden in the trees (it might take you a few tries to find it), this will open up another 10 star tree run and, if you jump at the top of the path, a 5 star air and 1080 degree spin. Finland: Tanker Hop B Grade: 110 S Grade: 135 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 7 POW) 2 Description of ! icons: 1) After drifting a long way from start, take the right path. The icon you see will heighten the jump ahead of it, and move the massive oil tanker so that you jump over it (hence the name "tanker hop") 2) After drifting a long way from start, take the left path. This icon also raises the ground ahead, but not as much as ! #1. 3) Another icon lies in what on the left path. This icon fells a couple of trees, raises the ground around the bend, and activates 5 rings. 4) After the paths merge then split again (just after you land from ! #1), take the right path. After a small jump and a small bend, another ! icon lays before you. This icon raises the ground ahead of you and activates 5 rings. 5) After landing from ! #4, take the right path again. This icon greatly raises the ground ahead, meaning a massive jump. 6) Just after landing from ! #5 (as you are climbing up the hill after the paths merge again). This icon raises the right bank at the top of the hill, which helps keep you from fall off the edge. 7) Up the road a little way from ! #6 on a ski slope. This icon activates 5 rings. Shortcuts: 1. 1) You must take the left path at the second split (just after ! #4) there is a POW icon and a forest of trees. There is no clear path, so just do your best. China: Northern Ridge B Grade: 110 S Grade: 140 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !) 4 POW)1 Description of ! icons: 1) After the series of bumps and jumps from the starting line and around the bend. This icon greatly raises the ground in front of you, allowing you to jump the great wall. 2) After you pass through the great wall and fall off the cliff. The icon causes the big stone statue like thing to fall over, partially obstructing the path. 3) Under the bridge and through the halfpipe, this icon lowers the ground in front of you, while creating huge jumps down the road as well as 5 rings. 4) After the second jump from ! #3 and just before the finish line. This icon activates 5 rings over the jump just ahead. Shortcuts: 1. 1) After ! #2, past the pond, and around the bend. There is a POW icon waiting. Pick it up and plow through the trees (ok, well try to miss as many as possible). This isn't really the best course of action though, as the forest is so thick its hard to get a good tree run. Its best to grab the POW icon then continue under the bridge like normal. Scotland: Castle Keep B Grade: 145 S Grade: 175 Number of laps: 3 Number of icons: !) 4 POW) 1 Description of ! icons: 1) Over the first jump and around the bend, this icon raises the ground in front of you and activates 5 rings. 2) After landing from ! #1 and going around the bend. Just after landing from ! #4 you should see a POW icon on the left side of the road. Grab it and follow the path through the trees. It isn't very well defined, to stay sharp. This icon destroys all the explosives along the shore line. 8) If you take the right path back at ! #6. this icon raises the ground ahead making for a massive jump. 9) If you are still on the right path after landing, this icon will lower the trees dead ahead and make that area accessible. I'd recommend just skipping it. anyway, after landing from ! #2 take the right path. On one of the bends is a POW icon. Pick it up and be careful not to hit any tree until you are around the bend. Once you are, there should be a row of trees up ahead over a small embankment. ----------------------- 4.4)- Platinum Cup --------------------------- Finland: Ski Jump Loop B Grade: 100 S Grade: 125 Number of laps: 2 Number of icons: !)8 POW) 2 Description of ! icons: 1) Take the left path from the starting line. Over the hill and there it is. This icon activates 5 rings over the next jump. 2) Take the right path from start. go around the winding road for a little ways and you'll find it. This icon heightens the embankment at the top of the hill helping you not to fall off. 4) Either take the right path from the starting line or veer right after landing from ! #1, it is in mid-air just off the ski jump. Make ample use of your breaks when taking sharp bends. 2) Jumps are your enemy. Avoid being in the air for a prolonged period, as its hard to steer. 3) Boosting bad. The gates are close enough together that you shouldn't have to use your boost to close the gap. Boosting can cause you to loose control or overshoot turns. 4) Boosting isn't all bad. Yes, a little contradictory of #3, however boosting if fine on the lower levels, as the gates are large enough you shouldn't have a problem hitting them. Also, boosting can help you around sharp bends. Ring Challenge: 1) You don't have to hit every single ring to win. Sometimes is better to focus on getting a big time bonus. 2) The amount a ring is worth varies based on how many rings you hit before it. If you missed the ring before it, it goes down by 5. If you hit the ring before it, it goes up by 5. Crush Challenge: 1) Hit your opponents as hard as you can. The exact conditions for unlocking each car are still unknown, except for the final two: Monster Truck: Unlock all alternate paint jobs Crazy Monster Tuck: Complete Mirror Mode with all S Grades. 7.2)- Unlocking alternate paint jobs Alternate paint jobs can be unlocked one of two ways: Racing in 10 races or obtaining 3 S grades with said truck. The easiest way to do this is to pick a very easy, quick course (like one in the bronze or silver cup in Excite mode) and race it over and over. You should easily be able to win an S grade on these courses. There is only two trucks that don't have an alternate paint job: Monster Truck, and Crazy Monster Truck. 7.3)- Unlocking Super Excite Mode Excite Mode with all S grades. 7.4)- Unlocking Mirror Mode Complete Super Excite Mode with all S grades. 7.5)- Unlock all cars instantly. Once you complete Mirror Mode with all S grades every truck that was not previously unlocked will become unlocked. 7.6)- Crazy Monster Truck Notes Since the Crazy Monster Truck is in POW mode throughout the entire race, the rules change slightly. First, POW icons wont appear, as you are already in POW mode. Second, tree runs can be earned even after running into a tree (or ten)(unlike regular POW mode). 7.7)- Withstanding Mirror Mode The trick to not going insane when playing mirror mode is to forget everything you knew about the course you're playing, and treat it as if it's a totally new course. 7.8)- Performing Aerial Spins Credit goes to markconigliaro for this: 1) Hold one 2) Hold any direction on the d-pad 3) While in the air turn slightly in one direction 4) Turn harder in the other direction Much like how you would spin something in real life, like yourself. if you wanted to jump and spin, you would turn a little in one direction and throw yourself in the other. It builds up momentum to do the spin. 5) For another spin, while your truck is spinning, put your Wii mote how it was in #3 6) When the truck is done spinning, repeat #4 To do more spins, repeat steps 3-6, your fingers should never leave the d-pad and 1 button 7.9)- Earning More Stars 8 easy tips for earning more stars: 1) Get off to a Smashing start. At the very beginning of the race, curve left or right slightly and see if you can get a few stars from ramming the guy next to you. 2) Be a drifter. If you're in the lead and can spare some speed, drift as much as possible. 3) My precious. Strive to get as many Rings as possible when jumping. Remember, the order for stars in a jump is air > Rings > spins. (btw, the pun is from Lord of the Rings for those that don't get it). 4) 1080's. Spin as much as possible when going over large jumps. 5) Trees are your friend, and you shouldn't harm friends. This works the best on the Canada and fiji tracks, get as close to the edge of road as possible and rake in the tree runs. Be careful not to run into them, as you'll lose precious stars and seconds. 6) The POW is yours! When ever you see a POW icon, PICK IT UP! This is useful for Super Truck Smashes. Also, be on the lookout for shortcuts and tree runs nearby. 7) Shortcut to success. Always be look out for shortcuts that can net you tree runs or additional air. They are often hidden near POW icons just after a large jump. 8) Whoa! Did you see that thing explode?! If you're going to crash, at least do it in style to earn a star. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------- 8)- Records ------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ah the records section, otherwise known as the "Ha, in your face! I got 205 stars on that course!" section. ------------------------ 8.1)- Achievements -------------------------- Note: this is the only records section worth covering. Super Truck Throws aren't listed at all. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------ 9)- Frequently asked Questions -------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 9.1)- How do I use custom sound tracks? You'll need an SD card and an SD card reader for your PC/Mac, and your music has to be in MP3 format. Then just upload the music to your SD card (make sure its not in a folder), insert it in the SD card slot on the Wii. Go into any race mode, choose a level and a truck. After the level loads press "+" then select "SD Card", highlight the song you want and press "1" to exit and start the race. 9.2)- I picked up a POW icon and I'm running by trees, but its not giving me tree runs! There are two possible reasons for this: 1) you're not close enough to the trees. 2) you ran into a tree early on into to the run. Remember, if you run into a tree after picking up a POW icon, you are no longer eligible for tree runs until after the POW icon wears off. 9.3)- I need more help with __ course. Well, there's probably nothing I can do but there are three ways to get a hold of me if you are having problems and feel you must: 1) email me (info below). That's totally a matter of personal preference. I personally use the Wolf up until the Dynamo is unlocked; then I use that for the rest of the game. 9.5)- you didn't list how many stars *insert trick here* would get me! Again, this totally depends on what car you are using, how much momentum you've built up, and the angle of your jump. Just know that I have listed way more then enough stuff per course to get you an S rank. 9.5)- In the records section, some of stunts/times are listed in green/red/blue. Yes, Green means you obtained that record in Excite Mode, Red means Super Excite, and Blue stands for Mirror Mode. 9.6)- a link in the car section doesn't work!
