Credits/Thanks (xxcrxx) =================== 1.) Introduction (xxintxx) =================== Howdy and welcome to my Walkthrough for Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana. I have recently just got this game (today, actually) and to be honest, I haven't gotten very far, so this FAQ won't be completed just yet. I plan on playing through the game as I type up this walkthrough, giving this a better outlook than it would if I beat it once, and then did it again. Although I may fall behind, please be patient as I work on this piece by piece, and please don't e-mail me anything I haven't covered yet, since I most likely won't be able to answer it. I used this method for Tales of Symphonia (sorta) and it turned out alright. Now onto the game itself, Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana is a strategic/RPG game that was released in late June. The game heavily focuses on Alchemy, which you'll learn in the first battle you encounter. It seems a little confusing at first, and I still haven't mastered this whole thing yet, but as the game progresses, hopefully you, and myself, will learn the basics of the Alchemy system and we can get through this game with no troubles. For those of you that have read my Tales of Symphonia and Shadow Hearts walkthrough, you know I only focus on the walkthrough for the timebeing before throwing in any additional things, such as sidequests and whatnot. This FAQ will be no exception to that, so for now, you'll only see the walkthrough portion. Once the walkthrough is complete, I'll add more sections as I come across them. =================== 2.) Legal Stuff (xxlexx) =================== This FAQ is copyrighted by me, and may not be used to gain any kind of profit or be used in any kind of magazine. I type these walkthroughs for free, so you shouldn't be able to make money off of something that I do on my spare time to help my fellow gamers. You may NOT use this on your website unless you contact me via e-mail first. Please e-mail me if you wish to use on your website and I most likely will let you. If I do let you, you are not to change anything in this FAQ, including typos, until I update it. If you wish to use this, please provide me a link to your website, where it will go, and if you'll update it or if I have to send updates for it. Walkthrough (xxwalkxx) =================== NOTE: As I stated in the Introductions portion, I will be writing this walkthrough as I progress through the game, so I would appreciate no e-mails that ask questions of areas I haven't covered yet, as I most likely haven't been to that part yet. This walkthrough may contain spoilers as I write it, so you have your warning ahead of time. Start off the game first by watching the gorgeous FMV in the opening sequence before deciding to start your game. Go to Options and look around the options you can play around with, and put the settings that meet your needs. Once you're ready, select new game, and let's get started. The game opens up with Klein, a young man hoping to become a master in the art of Alchemy, and Lita, a young woman you meet in the past, which will be covered very shortly. Lita asks Klein if he remembers the first day they met and Klein says yes. After this scene, a catgirl and another lady talk and the catgirl leaves the house, off to where she's supposed to go. Now remember, keep in mind, this is going to be a flashback in which you play in. Next, we have two creatures, Chief of Water, and Chief of Fire, talking about something about Mana. We'll learn more about this eventually. Then the game cuts to a man, most likely attempting alchemy, or a summon, but fails because there isn't enough Mana, and how he needs the Ruby Prism, and since it's captilized, this may come into play later. Now we encounter Lapis Woods, with Klein and his little puppet buddy or something, Popo. After some talking, a Falcon Hawk will swoop down and attack Klein, and now we get our first taste of the battle system. Klein notices he doesn't have any elements to take down the Falcon Hawk, which is when Lita will jump in. Attack it normally until it runs away. Once it's gone, Lita will say how you couldn't have beat it alone, but Klein declares he could've if he had his Elements, but Lita doesn't decide to believe him. So anyways, once you regain control again, go over to the big green rock you see, and a tutorial will become available. The tutorial just shows how you can break the rock and get elemental items of the property of that item. Now then, after the tutorial is done, go up to the rock, and press Square to break the rock. You can do this with the other rock, so do so. You can also give the wooden sign a good popping to. You can also play around with the buttons here. Press Circle to jump. Now that you know that, climb on the tree trunk to the right of you, and go up to the tree and press X to climb it to get a Feather Charm. Equip it on Klein and climb back down the tree. Now attempt to leave the arena, and you'll run into the Falcon Hawk again. Now you'll be able to use Mana items in battle. Do so, and use the only item you can. It'll kill the bird. Now off we go. =================== KAVOC =================== Take a look at the city first. The first thing you'll notice is that there are a bunch of barrels and boxes and all of that fun stuff in the middle of town. Go up to the barrels, and when an X appears above you, press it and the barrel will disappear revealing an item. You can also press Square to extract elements from the barrels, boxes, and flowers, so do so, and get the fruits and anything else that drops from the boxes. You'll notice a shop just above you. You can jump on the stone thing and get onto the next map to explore around there. There's a weapon shop here, but there's no need for that yet. Once you explore everything here, go back down. If you go across from the shop at the top here, you'll find another shop that sells some items. On the road that heads for the top shop is where we want to go now. This shop contains mana items for battle, so keep this place in mind. Now then. Head back to where the top shop is and enter it for a scene with Norman. You'll talk about things and then you'll have to be an errand boy. You'll automatically go over to the right, and a huge book will come out of nowhere. Go talk with Popo if you wish to be healed, and use the big blue book, or the Diary, to save your game. Now then, talk with Norman again and we have some errands to do. Remember the item and mana item shops? Go to them, but along the way, if you want, to back to the center of town and extract elements from the boxes and barrels and get the items on the boxes and stuff. You can do this as much as you want since they respawn. Anyways, head back to the item and mana item shops to deliver the lunch boxes. Now go back to the store Lyla runs and talk with her and she'll let you in the back room. Go back there and open the chest for a Heal Jar. This item will play a vital role for now, since it can heal your HP. Now two tutorials will become available. Watch them both and pay close attention to them, as they are very important. Now then, once you're done with that, head back to Norman's to get 100 Cole and talk with him again to learn about the City on the mountain, and he'll start getting spazzy. Soon, a stranger in Norman's shop as well will come over to you, and start telling you things about it and suggests you go check it out yourself. After you leave, the man decides he may need to keep a close eye on you. Hmmm... a stalker, perhaps? Go back in and save your game, and if you want, go extract the items from the boxes and barrels and then leave town. Head south for Lapis Woods. =================== LAPIS WOODS =================== Hey, this place looks familiar, doesn't it? You may notice some green little specs flying in the air. This signifies items you can run to and pick up. Anywho, run into any items you see, which would be a Fresh Smoking, Fresh Dancing, and Old Smoking and Old Dancing. It wouldn't hurt to get a level here, so fight a couple of battles to get to Level 2, and then go back to town and rest and save if needed. Once ready, just head south in the Woods and we'll be back on the world map. Now guess where we're going? To the Tower of Airfen. Just follow the linear path. =================== TOWER OF AIRFEN =================== Once in here, you'll see a red teleporter. Go step on it, and you'll be taken to the top of the tower. Watch the scene here, and then get the Mana Chest containing a Herbal Drop. We can't do anything with this yet since Popo is of the Water and Earth elements, so he won't be able to Synthesis anything with Fire yet. So once we get a Fire Mana, we'll be able to Synthesis Fire stuff. Anyways, it's time to exit the tower. Once out of the tower, head North for Henmil's Gate. =================== HENMIL'S GATE =================== Once you enter, you'll encounter another scene. You may notice a glowing thing on the ground. This is where we can Camp. You'll be able to Save, Heal, Check your lists and all of that fun stuff. Soon after, you'll run into Lita again, and after some talking, she'll join your party once you become a member of Galgazit. Nothing else to do here. Let's head back to Lapis Woods. =================== LAPIS WOODS =================== Once in here, you'll see some kids. Go up to them and Lita will tell them they shouldn't be out here alone. The kids names are Yach, Pamela, and Dia. They'll become more important later. For now, let's go back to Kavoc. =================== KAVOC =================== Once you enter town, Lita will suggest you talk to Norman about becoming a Galgizet. After some talking, you will now have your own little home in Galgizet, located right above Norman's shop. In here, you can heal, Save, and do Mana Synthesising. But to do that, we need Norman's permission first. So head back down to Norman's shop and talk with him. He'll ask you to go get some item, Tingleberries (am I the only one that finds this to sound perverted?) and then he'll let you use Alchemy in the house. So where do we go? Veola's place. If you don't remember how to get there, go left from Norman's shop and onto the next screen. Enter the store to your right once you regain control and talk with Veola. Watch her be rude, and Lita will point that out. Now head back to Norman's, and give him the Tingleberries. He'll now introduce you to Shop Synthesising. It would be a good idea to take this tutorial, and pay very close attention to it, as this will most likely come in handy later. Now with that out of the way, Norman will give you some items after you finish Synthesising. If you want, you can go to Veola and Synthesis some Medicine items, but that's up to you. Now head back to your Home, and do some Synthesising of your own if you need Heal Jars or Ice Bombs. Heal and Save whenever you're done. Now exit your Home, and attempt to leave the town to watch a scene. Something about a 'Growloon' in the Lapis Woods. Growloon... sounds like some kind of steroid. Might as well check it out anyways. So let's exit town and you'll automatically be in Lapis Woods. =================== LAPIS WOODS =================== Once you enter, you'll see a tree like thing, and a big balloon type of thing with another character killing off the Tree like thing. Once the man leaves after Lita telling him it's your job, you'll be in a fight with the Tree-like thing again. This is like a normal battle, so kill it and head back to Kavoc. =================== KAVOC =================== Go see Norman and he'll bring out a Record book, showing how many Growloon's you've killed. The more you kill, the better rewards you get. This book will always be at Normans, so when you get the chance, check it out. If you wish, use the tutorial on Growloons, but it's not mandatory, as all you need to do is hit the thing with your Rod and it'll perish. Now you get to choose your team name. I chose Shooting Stars, but the choice is up to you. Now head back to Home and a Thug will come in and tell you that you're wanted at the Church. Heal and Save, and make haste for the church. If you can't find it, it's on the same screen as Veola's shop. Once you find it, enter it and you'll encounter a scene with the General of Alkavana, Beggur. He'll want you to join his army so you can rule the world, and once Klein spots the Fire Mana, he'll make a ditch effort to get away from Beggur. Once outside, the man from Norman's shop will instruct you to follow him, and you do so. =================== SEWERS =================== Meet Delsus, your new party member. After all the talking, head straight until you reach a barrel. Always, ALWAYS remember to press X at a Barrel before extracting it's Mana elements from it, as some contain items. Keep going straight, extracting Mana from anything you see until you reach a treasure chest. Open it. You may see a Mana chest, but you can't open it yet. Now go back to the boxes you extracted, and go down and examine the barrel as you run by it. Keep going until you can't go any farther. Now go right and get the item on the ledge. Go straight until you come by a room with a bunch of electrical charges. Take the bridge you see and take a left first. Examine all the barrels for items, extract one box, and jump on the box, and up to the purple block and open the chest. Go back across the bridge and go right and go over another Wooden bridge you see. Head for the barrel and get the item on the ground. Head down some steps and go down the narrow path, and you'll see a bunch of barrels and boxes. Examine the barrels for items, and extract all boxes and you'll find a chest. Open it. Now head back across the wooden bridge and jump on the Purple box, and then on the black, jump down and head up the stairs to exit the Sewers. =================== KAVOC =================== This place look familiar? Delsus will wait for the Guards around the town to leave and tell you the coast is clear. Head back for your Home. Once there, Delsus will tell you to lay low for awhile, and then the Fire Mana, Uru, will come out and offer to join up with you. Now you can Synthesis items that require Fire Mana, and you can use a new skill that will have a tutorial with it. Watch it if you want. You can now destroy purple blocks, but not black blocks. Heal and Save, and I'd recommend heading back to the Sewers to do some leveling and maybe upgrade your weapons, but the levels, you should get. Heal and Save, and when you're ready, leave town. On the world map, you can now go east. Do so, and take the first path heading down you see. Take it and enter the Outdoor Theatre for a couple of items. Keep going south once you're done in the Theatre and enter the Field. You'll see 3 Growloon's in here, so dispose of them, and pick up any items you can see. Exit the Field, and keep going right, and then up to find Lake Forwel. =================== LAKE FORWEL =================== Pick up any items you see and Press X by any barrel that indicates to to get some items. Also check the house to get some items as well. Once you're done in there, go up and talk to the man sitting on the ground. He'll send you off on an errand to find some Stained Grass. Make sure to get the Mana Chest. Also head down to the dock where the Cows and Chickens are to get a Red Mana and Dark Mana. Go to the glowing tile and set up Camp. If you need some Fire Mana, just extract some from the open Fire. Heal if you need to and save. Once ready, exit for the world map. Where are we going next? Lapis Woods. =================== LAPIS WOODS =================== Grab any items you see. Remember the treasure chest that was in the tree at the beginning of the game? Go up there to find the Stained Grass. Now head out to the world map and make your way back to Lake Forwel. =================== LAKE FORWEL =================== Go talk with the Fishing Man and give him the Broken Grass. You'll recieve 325 Cole, which is pretty good. Delsus will indicate it's most likely safe to go back to Kavoc, so let's do so. Exit and head for there. =================== KAVOC =================== First things first, go visit Norman and go check the Growloon book. Since you destroyed 3, you'll have 4 total destroyed. You'll get a reward after you check it. Now go back to Norman and talk with him and he'll have a new job for you. It appears there's a ghost in the Sewers, so guess where we're going? Yup. Pack some undies and let's go. If you forgot where the Sewers are, go to the screen where Veola's shop is, and go to where the church is. Go down the passage you see. =================== SEWERS =================== If you remember where the room that has the Electrical Beams are at, then head there and watch the scene with Pamela. She'll say she isn't the Ghost, but the others don't believe her. Watch the scene. Well, nothing to do here now, so let's head back to Kavoc. =================== KAVOC =================== Head back for your Home. Once you get there, you'll see a scene with Dia and Pamela, saying Yach is missing. Well, it appears we'll be going back to the Sewers. If you're low on health, it would be a wise idea to heal and save, so do so. Now exit your Home and head for the Sewers. =================== SEWERS =================== Go back to the path that leads to the Electrial Beams, and then take the wooden bridge down to find Yach, being attacked by a Witch Ghost type of thing. Lita then jumps in the way of the attack. Now we're going to fight our first monster that won't be effected by Physical Attacks. Not a hard battle. Just use Ice Bomb twice and it'll die. Dia will give you a Red Bracer for saving Yach. Now let's head back to Kavoc. =================== KAVOC =================== Go to Norman's place and talk with him. He'll give you 5 Milk as a reward. If you want to do some Mana Synthesising, go to Veola's shop and you should be able to Synthesis some Armor from her shop now. Once you're done there, head down to the map where your Home is and a scene will occur about a show happening. Well, it's no use just listening to the talk. Let's go check it out for ourselves. Exit Kavoc and head for the Outdoor Theatre. =================== OUTDOOR THEATRE =================== After some people are done talking, a short play will begin. After it's done, a little Catgirl will be pickpocketing people. She will then "bump" into Klein, snatching his Alchemist Book. She also snatches Delsus's Flask and makes a break for it. Well, she couldn't have gone far. So let's head back to Kavoc to see if the little Catgirl is there. =================== KAVOC =================== As you walk in, you'll see the Catgirl make a break for it once she sees you and you'll automatically follow her to the church, where two guards have her cornered. Klein and the others will step in and she'll escape again. As you try to follow her, a man named Arlin will tell you she's headed for the forest. So let's head to the forest, meaning Lapis Woods. =================== LAPIS WOODS =================== Once here, you'll see the Catgirl making her way to the exit until General Beggur steps in and stops her and threatens to hurt her. Klein then steps in and tells the Catgirl to take cover. ============================================================================== 0------------------0 | GENERAL BEGGUR | | HP: 400 | | EXP: 220 | | COLE: 440 | 0------------------0 NOTE: Just thought I'd mention, all of the bosses HPs are rough estimates, but should be close to the real number. This will be your first real boss fight, and it isn't hard, so don't fret. Beggur and his two Soldiers will start off by most likely getting ready to unleash a Skill, so use Delsus and use Power Shot to use a Skill Break on whoever is going to use a Skill. Have Lita use Stone Blast (if she has it) and have Klein use Ice Bomb. Each of Beggur's and his Soldiers attacks hit for around 15 HP, so you may have to heal, but I didn't have to. Beggur hits your entire party with his skills, though. Once Lita runs out of Mana, have her attack anyone left standing. ============================================================================== Once the battle is over, Beggur's soldiers will take Beggur away as he's making his speech of revenge. Now the Klein will ask the little Catgirl for his book back, but she decides to escape again. So now we're left of no way of reaching the Catgirl, until Delsus tips he probably knows where she's going. Well, since we don't know where to go yet, let's head back to Kavoc. =================== KAVOC =================== Head back to your Home and Delsus will start telling you about where the little Catgirl is probably heading, and to reach there, we need to get to Iris's Resting Place. Well, to get there, we have to cross the Lake at Lake Forwel. Well, let's get going. =================== LAKE FORWEL =================== You'll encounter a scene with an old man telling you that you need a Visa in order to get to Iris's Resting Place. I'll spare you the Credit Card jokes. Delsus will suggest you take a boat, and lookey what we have here. A boat at a dock. Talk to the man standing on the other side of the boat to hitch a ride. Now that we're over on the other side. Where to first. Head north until you reach the Collector's Caravan. =================== COLLECTOR'S CARAVAN =================== Go up to the woman at the counter and talk with her. She'll reveal her name as Lector, and plays a good role. Since you have no Visa, you ask Lector, hoping that she has one for sale. She does, but in return, she gives you an item list and wants you to find new items and bring the list back to her. Everytime you complete a list, you'll get a reward, and Cole for new items you discover. If you've been picking up any items you've seen on the ground, talk with Lector again you'll most likely get a whopping 7,000+ Cole. Nothing else to do here for now, so exit, and head south and once you reach the boat, go east and follow the path until you reach the Proselyte Encampment. =================== PROSELYTE ENCAMPMENT =================== Watch the scene as Beggur leaves. Once you're in, the guard will say you can't go by and you need a Visa, so you show it to him and you can go. However, before leaving, go grab the Mana Chest you saw. Now you can make the Flame item. Before proceeding any further, I'd like to point this out. Every once in awhile, always check on your Mana's Statuses. If their bars are getting low, give them Gifts. The items they like are availble once you choose to give them a gift. So try to keep them as happy as possible to make items, and possibly an extra item. Now then. Exit and keep following the road until you reach Iris's Resting Place. =================== IRIS'S RESTING PLACE =================== The first thing you may notice in this area are Growloons, but we won't be able to get one yet, so ignore him for now. Head up a little and open the chest you see here. Keep heading up and you'll notice a door. Open it and you'll see a little puppet thing that looks like Popo. Go examine the bookshelves in here to find various amounts of Mana. If needed, use Camp to heal and save. Once done, exit the room. Now head to the right, avoiding any dangers you may see. You'll notice a Growloon floating over the middle of a platform. We can't reach him, so use the Destruction Blast to destroy it. Now jump up the blocks and you'll find another Growloon. Hit it with Klein's Rod. Now keep following the only path and you'll eventually run into a big blue statue. Go up to it and press X. A Mana will come out of it, and after some talking, you'll be able to make Mana Items that require Dark and Spirit Mana. Her bars will be pretty low, so go ahead and boost them up now before you forget. Once you're all set, head up and you'll notice a ball-shaped thing in front of you. This is actually a Mana Orb. Extract it to get 30+ Dark Element. There are some stairs up ahead and to the right of you, so go up them and follow the path down and open the Mana Chest. Now you can make Mana Jars, good for replenishing Mana during battles. Now head back down and jump on the Purple blocks and run down the path. You'll notice some stone platforms. Extract the Glowloon, and climb them and follow the path for a Chest. Now go back to where you got your most recent Mana (Plua), and head down until you see some spikes. Keep going until you find some stairs. Go down them and run down the path. Hug against the left so you avoid the spikes, and a scene with Lita being attacked. Sorta. Once in control, exit. Now we're in Poto Forest. =================== POTO FOREST =================== First things first, see that Slanted Mushroom by the entrance? Extract that to get Spirit Mana, vital for making Mana Jars. Anyways, go left and you'll be able to get some River Water. Get as much is available, and jump onto higher ground. Keep going left and you should see another Stone Bridge. Keep going left until you reach the exit of this map, but don't go through yet. Go down and extract the bushes you see and continue down the path for a chest. Now head back up and go left to exit this area. There are no enemy encounters here, so don't worry. Extract anything you can find and examine the Barrels for Strings and other goodies. Go down and you'll find another chest. Open it and extract the Slanted Mushroom down here. Now head back up, and extract any plants of fruits. Make any Heal Jars if you're running low. Once you think you're ready, go make Camp and heal and save your game. Now exit Camp, and head up for the house. In here, you'll see a witch, who is actually Zeldalia. Klein will ask for his book back and Zeldalia will claim he doesn't deserve. After some talking, Zeldalia will want to test you, but not test you herself, Instead, she'll have you fight the little Catgirl, Norn. Let the battle begin. ============================================================================== 0------------------0 | NORN | | HP: 460 | | EXP: 291 | | COLE: 176 | 0------------------0 This fight is rather difficult if you underestimate her. First things first, take out the Puni's and Master Puni before attacking Norn. Have Lita and Delsus attack while Klein should use Ice Bomb on the Puni Master. After the first turn, only the Master Puni should be alive still along with Norn, so finish that off. Now for Norn, Norn is quite powerful. She will use Magical Staff to take down 20+ HP and some Mana as well. After awhile, Norn will start casting Sleep, so here's your chance to use your most powerful skills and Klein's Ice Bomb or Flame to damage her, and hopefully one of those attacks are a Skill Break. Have Lita use Stone Blast if she wasn't hit with Magical Staff. If Norn casts sleep, don't worry. Just keep attacking. You'll most likely have to use a couple of Heal Jars, but take advantage of when she's about to cast Sleep, and you should win. ============================================================================== Now with Norn gone, Zeldalia will hand your book back and you'll be at her house again. Norn will be ordered to join you, which is good, because I like Catgirls. Hehe. Anyways, talk with Zeldalia again to get the option of getting a new skill or new Mana Item. I went with the Mana Item, but the choice is yours. Now head upstairs and talk with the Blackcat here. After Norn scolds at it, it'll open up a shop. Buy whatever you need, including the book on the last page. Now head to the left and you'll be outside ontop of Zeldalia's house. Go extract the Light Mana Orb for 30+ Light Elements and pick up the Ancient Mask and equip it on someone. Now exit the house, make Camp, heal and save. Time to head back to Iris's Resting Place. =================== IRIS'S RESTING PLACE =================== Do you remember stumbling across those three Pedestals when you first came in here? Head for them, and each of your Manas will jump on one of the Pedestals. Now you'll see that Electrical Beam blocking the door disappear. To get there, head for the exit like you would, but don't take the low road. Stay up where you are, and keep following the path until you reach some stairs. Take them up and follow the path and you'll run into a door that won't open. Soon, Klein and Lita will transport inside the room, where a woman is floating in the middle of the platform. Klein will go over to read the Diary, and will notice Lita is the daughter of Iris. Lita will ask Klein not to tell anyone. You'll now exit the room and some talking will go on and Delsus will notice Lita's wings. After it's all said and done, a suggestion will pop up that you should go ask Zeldalia for some more information. So let's exit here, and head for Poto Forest. =================== POTO FOREST =================== One thing I'd like to point out here. From now on, in the boss sections, I'm going to list the characters I used in the fights. You don't have to use them, but you can see who I used and see if it works for you better. Anyways, make your way through the forest and get back to Zeldalia's place. Once you enter, she'll say Lita needs a Mana bath. So now Lita is floating in a tube full of Mana, and apparently, without the Ruby Prism, her Mana is unstable. Now for you Lita users, pay very very close attention to this Tutorial, as it involves Lita and her Mana. Now you will see Arlin. He'll comment on your comment about Mull and will challenge you to a fight. You can't win this fight, so don't worry about it. Your party will then decide to open Henmil's Gate, and think some people in Kavoc may know how to open it. Arlin will now join your party as well. You will now be able to equip Mana to your characters to increase their skill points at levels. When you choose to select a Mana to a character, you'll see which skill will be affected when the Mana levels up. So play some mix and match. And remember for you Lita users, make sure to keep an eye on Lita's condition. Even though her power will become greater overtime, her health will fall drastically. Now leave the hut, and head for the entrace to Iris's Resting Place, but as you go, you'll be warped to a fairy type of world. Once you realize where you are, the fairy you see will teach you about Weapon Synthesize, and now you'll be able to Synthesize weapons. Make sure to read the tutorial, as Synthesising weapons is very important. Once you regain control, talk to the fairy near you, and it'll open up a shop selling Mana Elements. Run around the room collecting the various Mana Elements, and then exit and you'll automatically be in Kavoc. =================== KAVOC =================== Delsus will leave the party. Once in control, heal if you need to and do some Synthesising if you need to, and save your game. Now exit your Home, and head down to Norman's place to find a fairy and Delsus trying to hit on a woman. Soon after, the fairy will give you a job to find the Puni God. Once in control, go talk with Norman to get a Monster List. In order to view it, talk with Lita at any Campsite. Now make way for Veola's Shop and you'll run into the female alchemist, Rurona again. Watch the scene. Nothing else to do here now, so exit down. If you didn't choose to see where you have to go next, go south, through Lapis Woods. Then make your way for the Tower of Airfen, but go past it and take the left road you see. Go up to the big Puni and enter Puni God. =================== PUNI GOD =================== Get the Red Peppers that are in the trees, and once you encounter the huge Puni, it'll invite you in. Before going in, save your game. Now enter. Just keep following the path until you run into the Puni Brothers. You'll have to fight them, but they're just like any regular Puni, so they should fall in one hit. After they're gone, they'll retreat and drop a Frozen Rain. You'll be able to challenge the Puni Brothers again, but now is not the time. Keep following the path and grab the treasure chest you see. Now head back and take the other path and jump on the black block to obtain a Dark Mana. Now go up, following the path, and you'll encounter a Mana Chest containing Love Gem. Now take the path that goes up and takes a left turn. Jump on the black block and jump over it for another treasure chest. Now keep following the road until you see two black blocks. Jump on them and then over them to find some Cole. Jump back off the blocks, and then find the way that leads to the Puni guarding the exit. After some talking, the battle ensues. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Norn, Arlin ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | SUPER PUNI | | HP: 700 | | EXP: 645 | | COLE: 1730 | 0------------------0 Super Puni comes with some Red Punis and two Golden Punis. First things first, have your characters take care of the Red and Golden Punis first. This battle will become very annoying quickly because the Punis will keep jumping and landing on you, so make sure to keep an eye on your HP. Once the Punis are done for, it's time to concentrate on the Super Puni. Have Norn use her normal attack or anything that can damage it physically. Arlin should always be attacking, and Klein should be dishing out Ice Bombs or Flames, as well as keeping the party healed. Super Puni will then start to jump more often, so take this time to heal anyone that needs to be healed, or if someone is at full health, defend. Just keep attacking the Puni as you would any other Puni, and it'll fall. ============================================================================== Seems like the Puni didn't realize they were the weakest enemies in the world. Once it disappears, go through the exit. Now head back to Kavoc. =================== KAVOC =================== Once back here, head back for Norman's Bar and talk with the fairy and he'll give you a Gust Sphere. If you need healing, go back to your Home and heal and make sure to save. Synthesize any items or weapons you may need, and head out. Head for Veola's shop and she'll tell you that Hagel, the weapon shop owner, is looking for you. Now head for his shop and he'll ask you to run an errand for him. You'll eventually agree to it, as you may get information on how to open Henmil's Gate. So our next destination is Arcose, the Port town. It's gonna be a long journey, but we can make it. Now exit town. Once you exit town, head for Lake Forwel. =================== LAKE FORWEL =================== If you have any Ale, go talk with the Fish Salesman to get a Fish in return for it. Now go down to where the boat is docked and talk with the man to cross the Lake. Once you're on the other side, make sure to pop into Lector's place and show her any new items you've gotten to get some Cole. After you're done there, you remember how to get to Poto's Forest, so get through Iris's Resting Place and once you reach Poto's Forest, take the path opposite that leads to Zeldalia's place. Keep going and you'll be back on the world map. Keep following the path and you'll eventually run into the Mine. Go inside and go in the store, but it's empty. Go down to the other room to get some Goodies. Now exit the mine, and keep going south until you reach Arcose. It's right by the sea. =================== ARCOSE =================== You'll run into Lector, who will notice Norn and start calling her cute and wanting to touch her ears. Norn then gets pissy and steps aside as Lector makes her exit. After you regain control, check out all the shops. In one of them, you'll learn that someone has been missing for a couple of days. You decide to help since you need to do Hagel's errand anyways. As you explore town, you may notice a green little portal on the ground. This will lead you to the Fairy Town, and it will automatically warp you to Kavoc once you leave it. Everytime you run across this in a new town, it'll add the town to your list so you can visit it easily, but you won't be able to teleport back to the town you came from. In case you're wondering where the portal in Kavoc is, it's in Veola's Shop. Now then, make sure to get the Dark Mana near the portal, and if you look closely, you'll see part of a bag sticking out, so go pick it up. So now that we've visited all the shops, it's time to head for Alexia Cave. In order to get there, go east and follow the path until you reach a Volcano type of place. This is the Valiant Path. There are a couple of Growloons and goodies in here. This place isn't big enough to mention. Once you exit, keep following the path and you'll run into Alexia Cave. =================== ALEXIA CAVE =================== Once you come in, you'll see the missing sister standing on a platform. You'll also notice the Growloon there. There are a couple of Growloons here, so let's get to work. Take out the Growloon you run into, and keep going up, extracting any stones that get in your way, and head up the stairs. Keep heading up and you'll run into a treasure chest. Open it, take care of the Growloon, and head to the right. Go across the stones and press X in front of the statue to get our new Mana, Diemia. You will now be able to use him as a stepping stone to finish this place. Now then, with your new Mana, head back to the left, and jump on the wooden boxes once you reach them. Jump up onto the ledge and extract the Growloon. Now keep going right, extracting any rocks that get in your way and you'll enter another section of the map. Go right and jump across the lava you see. You should be the shining tile, so make Camp and heal and save if you need to. Once you're done in there, keep going down the path and down the stairs and open the chest you see here. Now head over to the next part of the map. Grab the items lying around. Use the Stone Mana as a stepping stool and jump up onto the next platform. Now follow the path, and extract the Growloon and extract all the Crystalites you see for some Air Elements, and then you'll run into Hute, Villa's sister. After some talking, you'll recieve 2 Comet Stones and Hagel's Ore. So now that we're done in here, exit and let's head back to Arcose. =================== ARCOSE =================== Go into the first house you see to see a cutscene between Norn and the old woman. Now go to the Camp site and heal and save. If you wish, you can travel back to Kavoc on foot, possibly getting a level along the way, or you can use the teleporter to go to the fairy world, then teleport to Kavoc. The choice is yours, but either way, get back to Kavoc. =================== KAVOC =================== Once here, first, go to Norman's Bar and check on your Growloon process. You should've reached at least one rank, so you'll get some Cole and a Dark Mana or Red Mana. Before going to visit Hagel, we can make some new use of our new Stone Mana. Exit Norman's Bar, and go down and left, up the stairs to where the two boxes are stacked. Call the Mana, and jump on him and then jump on the top box and jump onto the house and follow the path to reach a chest containing a very good weapon for Delsus. Now let's head back to the sewers. Remember where that Mana chest is? Let's make our way back there, and use Diemia to jump over the Black blocks and open the Mana Chest. Now you are able to Synthesis Obake Bags. One more place to go. Remember where Poto Forest and Zeldalia's house is? Go to it and get the Mana Chest here. Now enter Zeldalia's house and warp back to Kavoc. Now let's go visit Hagel and he'll give you a Star Piece. Now go back to your Home and heal and save. Synthesis any items if you need to. Now head for Veola's shop, and you'll encounter a scene with Beggur again. Enter Veola's shop for another conversation with Ms. Sunshine. Synthesis or buy anything you think you may need, and head back to your Home. Delsus will start cooking and Norn will wander off. When Arlin tries to go out looking for Norn, a kid runs in with a messaging from Beggur. Seems like Beggur has Norn. Well, off to the Sewers we go. =================== SEWERS =================== Head right, and go down the first bridge, and then go right again and you'll run into Beggar. Arlin will then teleport and snatch Norn back, and Beggur will make a break for it. Follow him by jumping over the black block and go down the stairs and ride the log to the other side and run up. You'll be in the church, and Beggur will be there to greet you. Round 2. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Norn, Arlin ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BEGGUR | | HP: 700 | | EXP: --- | | COLE: --- | 0------------------0 First off, yes, there is Exp and Cole, but stupid me forgot to write it down. Anyways, Beggur comes with three soldiers this time, and a Piggie. Take down the Pig first, as it will become an annoyance if you leave it for too long. Next, take out any Soldiers that have the ability to heal, and then focus on anything living besides Beggur. The beginning of this fight will be rough. Each soldier can hurt at least two of your characters with one skill, and Beggur can still hurt all three of your characters. Even though the attacks are weak, the damage will add up quickly. Whenever two or more people run low on HP, use Klein's Wide Item and use Heal Jar for it to heal all three party members. Using Wide Item and using Ice Bomb or Flame wouldn't hurt either. Have Norn use Telekinesis and have Arlin use Double. After the Cronies are gone, Beggur is a pushover. Just make sure to keep your HP above the danger zone. ============================================================================== Now that he's out of the way for now, you'll be at Home and your next destination will be Fort Galga. However, since Fort Galga has 100 Thieves on patrol, it'll be hard to sneak in. However, our fairy pal, Pile, will step in and offer to help you. Once you regain control, heal and save and Synthesis any items you may need. Before leaving, go to Norman's Bar and you'll find someone named Finn who will tell you about a weird statue at the Collectors Caravan. Go check it out to find the Water Mana, Nymph. When ready, it's time to head for Fort Galga. To get there, head east, and then go north and follow the path. =================== FORT GALGA =================== Once you enter, you'll see Pilke with two... chickens... yeah... some help. But you'll soon learn that Pilke will be a distraction so you can take out the thieves firing cannons. There's also a Camp tile to the left of you, so keep that in mind. Whenever you regain control, climb either the right or left ladder. Doesn't matter which. You'll fight a series of battles. Collect any chests, including a Mana Chest on one of the sides, you come across. Once the cannons are gone, Pilke and his friends will destroy the main gate. So climb up there and take out any thieves you run across. Then climb the side ladders to fight some more Thieves. Once they're all gone, the wooden gate will be broken. Before advancing up, climb down and use the Camp tile you saw earlier to heal and save. Now climb back up and keep going until you reach the top, where another boss fight will ensue. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Norn, Arlin ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BRIGAND | | HP: 650 | | EXP: 816 | | COLE: 1114 | 0------------------0 Another fight with a good amount of enemies. First thing you'll want to do is take out the Wolves. They're quick, and the damage will add up quickly. And those two Gunners aren't making this any easier. Have Arlin use Double on the Gunners as Norn should either attack the Wolves (one hit should kill them) or use Telekinesis on the Wolves. Once the wolves are gone, Brigand will start calling in Falcon Hawks to help. One of the Gunners should be gone now thanks to Arlin's Double attack. If she isn't, then finish her off, and focus on the next one, taking down the Falcon Hawk in the Process. Use Wide Item and Heal Jar to heal when needed, and pelt Brigand with Telekinesis. Both Arlin's and Norn's special attacks should do over 100 damage by now, so he won't last long. Take out any Falcon Hawks he calls with Klein. ============================================================================== Brigand is gone. Make sure to get the bags in the top left corner before going back down. Use the Camp tile to heal and save. When ready, head to the right and exit Fort Galga. Our next destination, Cleft of Nelvia. In order to reach there, head east and then north. Once you hit a fork, go west and go into the Cliff to extract some Growloons. Now go east and keep going east then follow the path north until you reach a house on the side. Enter it and get the two Growloons in here. Now exit and keep going north and follow the path and once you reach a cliff like position, hug against the left until you can enter Cleft of Nelvia. =================== CLEFT OF NELVIA =================== Follow the path and you will see a Growloon floating in the air. Jump and extract it. Keep following the path until you see purple blocks. Destroy them and get the pouch here. Keep following the path and extract the Growloon that you come across. Now go down the stairs and jump across the platforms and you'll see another statue. Press X and Silwest, the Wind Mana, will join your party. Now would be a good time to see how well your Mana's are doing. Give them gifts if their bars are low. Now jump back across the platforms, and head up the stairs and go into the cabin you see. If you need any Fire Element, carefully approach the bomb and extract it. Grab any other items in here and exit through the other side. Now the rest of the way is just going down and down. Once you reach a place with little bridges, and a chimney looking thing, go run down the mini bridges and extract the chimney looking thing and go and get a chest. Now go back, and drop down the side and run to the left and go down to exit into the spring here. Once here, you'll approach the spring, and Norn will hear the rumor of wishes coming true if something valuable is thrown in, so Norn decides to throw in Delsus's wallet, and a water woman comes out, and starts giving your party some thoughts of her own, meaning she's giving you lip. You'll then get the choice of either a Jewel or Stone. Doesn't matter which you pick, since you'll end up with the Stone regardless. It seems the Stone is part of Henmil's Gate. How about that. Once in control, run around the area collecting any items and bags you see. Another interesting thing, is on the bottom of the screen, you'll see some pink flowers. These give you Life Elements, so extract these, exit, and re-enter if you want so you can get 99, but that's your call. Once you're done here, it's time to head back to the top of the mountain. If you need to heal, head to the shack on your way back up and heal and save. Now continue back to the top, and to the entrance of the Cleft. Remember that empty house we ran into on the way here? The Empty Tavern? Go back there and warp back to Kavoc, or if you want the experience, take the long way. Get to Kavoc either way. =================== KAVOC =================== Once here, go upgrade your equipment if you need to, Synthesis any items you may need, and do some Shop Synthesising while you're at it. Also, while you're here, head to the Sewers. Go to where the eletrical barrier is, and use the Barrier skill to cross safely and get a chest. Now exit and head back to your Home and heal and save. Head outside, and you'll encounter a scene of Poto Forest, and it seems Growloons have made a home there. Norn will ask to stop by Zeldalia to check up on her, so exit town. Go through Iris's Resting Place. While in Iris's Resting Place, though, get the once out of reach chest because of the electrical barrier. Now exit and make haste for Poto Forest. =================== POTO FOREST =================== Once you arrive, you'll notice several Growloons out and about. Take out the two you see near you. Now go right, and before the exit of this map, follow the little path and extract the Growloon there. Now go up onto the next map and extract any Growloons here. Now go back down and follow the path to Zeldalias as you would, but go right once you get past the log and follow the path for a couple of more Growloons. That should make all six. Now continue to Zeldalia's house. Enter it, and she'll tell you of a Mana running free. Exit, and go use the Camp tile to heal and save. When ready, head on down and you'll encounter a fight. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Arlin ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | JIN RIDER | | HP: 760 | | EXP: 1200 | | COLE: 1200 | 0------------------0 If you destroyed all the Growloons, then he'll fight by himself. Only Mana attacks will hurt this boss, so have Delsus use Dark Shot, Arlin use Mana Strike, and have Klein either attack with his Cane or heal. Don't use any Mana Offensive items in this fight, as they hit for low damage. If you're using Lita, have her use Force Blast, and if you're using Norn, have her attack regularly. On occasion, Jin Rider will use an attack that hits all three of your characters and knocks them back, but it only hits for about 20 or so damage now. Just keep hitting him with your Mana skills and he'll be gone. ============================================================================== Once that's gone, we get the second Mirror we needed. Go open the Mana Chest to obtain Newlife. We can't make this yet, as we don't have a Mana that has the Mana Element Life. Now let's make our way back to Kavoc. You can either take the long way for the experience, or take the teleporter in Zeldalia's house. Either way, get back to Kavoc. =================== KAVOC =================== First things first, go to the Growloon Progress book and you should obtain a new rank. Now go talk to Norman. Head to your Home and heal and save. Before leaving for Henmil's Gate, go to Veola's Shop. Synthesis some items, and she'll tell you the book you gave her (assuming you bought it from the black cat at Zeldalia's place) gave her some new ideas and some new items will be open for Synthesizing. If you obtain that Me, Myself & Bomb book, she'll make new Bombs. Make sure to Synthesis a few Farewell, Pain's while you're at it. Extra healing items never hurt anyone. Now exit Kavoc and make your way to Henmil's Gate. =================== HENMIL'S GATE =================== Klein will attempt to open the gate, but a Holograph pops up, saying you need to learn the heart of Mana in order to open the gate. Well don't that beat all. (you Breath of Fire III fans will recognize that line) Seems like we need one last thing before the gate opens. Let's head back to Kavoc. =================== KAVOC =================== You'll encounter a scene with that Knight that was arguing with Beggur before with six Temple Knights around her. I'm not going to include a boss section for them, since they're all push overs, especially if Klein has Power Item. Once they're gone, the woman will head off, saying how she doesn't forgive Delsus. Poor guy. Head back Home now. Our next destination is back at the Alexia Cave, where that locked door is near the Camp tile. Better go to Arcose and ask around first. Use the Teleporter at Veola's Shop and choose Arcose. =================== ARCOSE =================== Head up to Villa's Shop and you'll ask about the door in Alexia's Cave. Villa will then refer you to her sister, Hute. If you don't remember where she is, exit Arcose and go north until you reach a place called Mine. Enter it and enter the little shack you see when you enter. Now go talk with Hute, and she'll give you the Key. Back to Alexia Cave. =================== ALEXIA CAVE =================== Head for where the door is, but make sure to use the Camp tile to heal and save. When ready, head down to the door and unlock it and watch the scene. At the end of a scene, a boss fight occurs. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Arlin, Delsus ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | ELDER VIRIUM | | HP: 3200 | | EXP: 2400 | | COLE: 3700 | 0------------------0 This is easily the hardest boss you've faced so far. This boss will totally rip you apart if you're underleveled. For Reference, my Klein was 31, Arlin was 30, and Delsus with 30. Now then, for the fight itself. If you have a Speedster, equip it to Klein as he is the most important character in this fight. Elder Virium has two nasty attacks; Flickering Flame, which hits your characters about 4 times for a good amount of damage, and Tera Fire, which will hit your characters for massive damage. I shouldn't have to point out that Klein will be your healer. Use Wide Item and use Heal Jar to heal. Arlin should be using Double. If Arlin has the Dragon Slayer, he'll be doing massive damage as well. Delsus should use Power Shot whenever Virium is getting ready to use Flickering Flame. If you're using Lita, have her use her strongest attack, and have Norn just use regular attacks. If her Staff attack is at a high enough level, it'll do well over 100 damage. If Klein gets a turn where he doesn't have to heal, use Power Item (if you have it) and use a Flame and it'll do around 350-400 damage. Once Virium starts to defend, you know you've almost won, so hit hard, and heal when needed, and he should fall. ============================================================================== Wow. That was pretty rough, wasn't it? After the battle, Delsus will tell you that a town named Duran may have a place that leads to the Land of Mana. Well, since we have no other clues, let's make haste. Make sure to pick up any items lying around, first, and Extract any Crystalites you come across. Make sure to use the Camp tile as you make your exit and heal and save. Also make sure to stop by the Collector's Caravan, as you've probably gotten some new items Lector hasn't seen yet, and you've most likely completed an item set or two. When ready, head back to Kavoc. Then head through Lapis Woods, go the Tower of Airfen, then head for the Puni God and keep following the path and you'll run into something called Ka Luda Playground. =================== KA LUDA PLAYGROUND =================== What we have here, is a big chess board. It's not really all that confusing. First thing to do is head up the stairs, then go right for a pouch. Now head left, going up, and then you'll see why it's a big chess board. Keep going up, ignoring the first entrance you see. Keep going up until you see the second entrance. Take this path, and follow it until you come out of the maze. Now go up and grab the chest, and go back to the other side, then up and into the maze once again. Now head right and you'll find another pouch. Go down the stairs, and go past the ladder and keep going until you find a Mana Chest containing Mask of Weakness. Now go back to where the ladder was and go down to exit here. Keep following the path, and if you need healing, enter the Snowfield you come across. Also pick up the Mana Chest here containing Lightning Rod. Heal if needed, and head back out and follow the path until you reach Duran. =================== DURAN =================== Once you enter, you'll get a scene of where it seems Delsus is an important person until some girl comes in, and calls him her brother, and you soon find out Delsus is the son of the Chief here. Once in control, explore town for a bit, picking up any items you see. Go back to the entrance and take the path to the right going up. Now follow the little path going left once you reach the top, and go left from the house to find a pouch. Now head down to where the Camp tile is and check behind the tree for another pouch. Once ready, head into the first house you come across, and go through the other side and you'll run into Delsus's father. Watch the scene here, and once in control, pick up the bags here, and head back out, but don't leave the shop yet. Talk to the woman behind the counter to learn how she stopped Delsus's bed wetting problem. Now let's head back to the Ka Luda Playground. =================== KA LUDA PLAYGROUND =================== Run around on the topset of black blocks until a scene occurs. What we have to do here, is push the White Pawns onto the glowing tiles by using the Destruction Blast, but each pawn moves two spaces each hit, so you'll need to do a little thinking here. You'll have to use some of the purple blocks as roadblocks to stop the White Pawns from going further than they need to be. It's kind of hard to give an explaination here, as this is a matter of trial and error, so get those Pawns onto the tiles. Once that's done, exit and head back to Duran. =================== DURAN =================== Head back to the Chief's house, and talk with him. Seems like you can reach the Land of Mana by going through a Forest. However, we'll need Four Mana; Uru (Fire), Silwest (Air), Nymph (Water), and Diemia (Stone). If you've been followingt his walkthrough, we should have them all. Now then. Make sure to use the Camp tile to heal and save. Once ready, exit town and follow the path south, and keep following the path until you reach the Forest of Ocean Mist. =================== FOREST OF OCEAN MIST =================== Mana Jackpot. Once in control, grab all the Mana you see and head for the teleporter. Once here, go across the bridge and then go down to grab the pouch down here. Extract any Crystalites you run across to get Air and Light Mana Elements. Now go back up, and follow the path opposite of the bridge, extracting anything that gets in your way. Jump to the upper ledge and then go up and jump again. Go down the ladder here and head up, extracting any Crystalies you run into. Now jump down and you should see an oddly colored stone. Step on it and Press X. Use the Teleporter here and get the Mana Stone. Now take the teleporter back. Now go to the other moving block and press X on it. Now go up the ladder you see and go across the bridge. Extract the bushes and pillar to advance and go across the other bridge you come across. You'll find another teleporter. Take it. Looks like we're almost out of here. Watch the scene and extract the slanted mushrooms for Dark and Spirit Mana Elements. Go use the Camp tile to heal and save your game. Now exit, and go down, extracting the pillar in your way, and exit. Follow the path until you read the Garden of Eternity. =================== GARDEN OF ETERNITY =================== Seems like the Mana Power here is extremely low. First thing you should do is call the Stone Mana to your right, and jump up onto the ledge, and call him again to jump higher. Now extract the Growloons up here and head up onto the next screen and open the chest. Now head back to the entrance. Now go foward and keep going, extracting any Growloons you can reach, until you need to call forth the Stone Mana again. Do so, jump, extract the Growloon, and grab the pouch. Now head into the next area. Follow the path until you find a pouch. Keep following the path and you'll see several stones stacked upon each other. Extract all of them until the pouches come down. Now hug against the wall, and an arrow should appear. Jump onto the ledge and run behind the bushes, and you'll run through a little tunnel. Keep following the path, extracting any Growloons that cross your way. Keep going until some bushes block your way. Extract them and keep going until you reach a Mana Chest containing Meteor. Now go back to the north and enter the door. Go down the stairs and keep going, extracting any Growloons you see (you'll need to use Destruction Blast to reach the one floating in the air). Once on the next screen, follow the path and use the Stone Mana to get to higher ground and open the chest. Go back down and head to the other side. Use the Stone Mana again to get up, and head up. You'll be on the world map now. Go North and you'll run into your next destination, the Land of Mana. =================== LAND OF MANA =================== Once here, you'll encounter a scene with four Mana, and then Iris's name pops up and you'll learn the Land of Mana is slowly dying because of the lack of Alchemists. Once in control, make sure to talk with the Chief of Water and you'll get the Mana Item, Elixir. However, we can't make this yet. Go down to the little flame down the stairs and to the right to buy some stuff. But the catch is, you can't use Cole here. You'll learn the currency. If you have enough, buy the Book that's for sale and give it to Veola once you return to Kavoc. Go use the Camp tile if you need to heal, and extract the bushes for Wood and Water Mana Elements and Wood and Life Mana Elements. If you haven't gotten 99 Life Elements yet, now would be a good time to do so. Once you're ready, exit back onto the world back. Now go down, and take the path right that's closest to the Garden of Eternity. Follow it until you reach the Gates of Change. Take them, and you'll be back at the Tower of Airfen. Exit, and head to Kavoc. =================== KAVOC =================== Before heading to your Home, go to Veola's Shop, and if you bought the book from the Mana Merchant, give it to her. If you've been Synthesizing from Veola for awhile now, some new items should be available. Now go to Normans and make some Tinglecannons if you haven't done so yet. I don't remember the Recipe for it, so you'll have to do a little experimenting. Try to get 9 of them if you can. Now then, remember when you ran through Lapis Woods that Yach and Dia found a piece of paper? Norn will spill water on it and it'll be revealed as a treasure map. To find the treasure, go to the Empty Tavern near the Cleft of Nelvia. Once you're done with that, head back to your Home. Delsus will go make something to eat as Arlin will ask you to follow him. You'll then be in Lapis Woods, where Arlin will charge at you. ============================================================================== 0------------------0 | ARLIN | | HP: ---- | | EXP: ---- | | COLE: ---- | 0------------------0 Arlins stats are related to what he has on now. I'm not sure if you're allowed to lose this fight, so I'm putting this here. If you get the first turn, use Power Item and use whichever Mana Element Arlin has the lowest towards. It should take him out in one hit. If he gets the first attack, then you most likely will die as well. It's just a matter of luck. You get nothing for winning. ============================================================================== You'll then be back at your Home and a flashback of Rurona will appear, saying she was heading east. Well, time to head to Arcose. =================== ARCOSE =================== You'll see Rurona once you enter, so go talk with her, and you'll be able to travel towards the Flawless Marvel. If you didn't choose to look at the map, head to Duran. From there, exit, and head west. Once past the snowfield, head north and you'll run into it. =================== FLAWLESS MARVEL =================== This place may look big, but it's rather not. However, the normal fights around here are rather tedious, so if you're not at a high enough level, watch out. Anyways, once you enter, head to the right, and follow the path, extracting the Growloon on the way. Keep following the path and take the teleporter once you come across it. Jump up the stone platforms here, and extract the Growloon you see. Don't take the top teleporter, but follow the middle stone pathway and take the teleporter there. Now head into the teleporter and do the same for the next teleporter. Now take the right path and take the teleporter. Head up to find a chest and pouch. Now head back into the teleporter, and go down the stairs and go into that teleporter. Follow the paths here, which are straightfoward, until you run into a chest that has another book for Veola. Now head back to the stepping block, and jump up one level. Now go right for a pouch, then go left, and continue following the path until you reach a teleporter that's out of reach. Summon the Stone Mana and use him to reach it. Once you use the teleporter, run straight, extracting the Mana Orb for 30+ Life Elements and go to the statue and press X to get your new Mana, Aion, the Life Mana. Excellent. Now head back, and jump down from the platform, and head to where the stepping block is. Jump up on it onto the next level. Use the Camp tile if you need to heal and make sure to save. Now once out, head to the left and grab the Mana Chest containing Heal Bulb. Make sure to Synthesize some Heal Bulbs. Now go back to the Camp tile, and go right, and up the stairs, and examine the huge Crystal. Prepare for a fight. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Arlin, Delsus ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | PRISM | | HP: 7000 | | EXP: 4200 | | COLE: 6200 | 0------------------0 This boss is extremely hard. He has a two turn Physical attack that will eat up nearly 3/4's of your HP, and the same attack can also be used on one turn, hitting a character for nearly 3/4's of their HP and knocks them back. He'll also use a skill that can't be broken, and this will hurt your party pretty badly also. Prism is also extremely fast, so if you don't have anyone with a good amount of speed, this fight will be harder than it already is. Now then, start off with Klein using a Mark of Weakness to lower his pathetic defense already. Have Delsus use Power Shot, and if Arlin is at a high enough level, have him use Berserker, and then Bull's Eye. Bull's Eye is a two turn attack, but with his strength higher, and Prism's defense lower, it will hit for extreme damage. (900+). Have Klein use Heal Bulbs when needed and when Arlin's Mana is low, have Delsus use a Tinglecannon on him to up it almost full. Once you get him to low health, Prism will use his Refuel skill to heal 700+ HP. If Klein gets an extra turn, use Wide Item and Mark of Courage. If Klein dies, you better hope you have a good amount of healing items. Have Lita use Stone Blast, and Norn should use offensive items. If you die, try again. If you die again, level up a little bit. Just try to keep both Klein and Arlin alive, and have Arlin use Bull's Eye to do massive damage, but if you don't have Bull's Eye, use Double, as it's just as powerful. From Andre de Almeida: Just an FYI on the Prism boss, if you use Klein to do Lightning Rod it does 1600 points of damage. (Note this is with Power Item.) ============================================================================== I tell you. I was never so happy to be out of a fight. Anyways, you'll then get the Primal Gem, which is what the Manas wanted. Make sure to use the Camp tile to heal and save, because I know you don't want to fight Prism again if something happened to your game. Make your way to the entrance, and go to Duran to warp. Stop by Kavoc first and give Veola the book. Take the teleporter again, and choose the Land of Mana. =================== LAND OF MANA =================== You'll encounter a cutscene, giving the Manas the Prism you got. You will then obtain the Ring of Iris, the final key in opening Henmil's Gate. Well, what are we waiting for? If you need to do any Synthesizing (Mana or Store), then do so. Once ready, head for Henmil's Gate. =================== HENMIL'S GATE =================== Klein will head up to the Gate, and all three artifacts will be in place, and the gate will slowly open. Now make your way through it, and follow the path until you reach the Path to the Heavens. =================== PATH TO THE HEAVENS =================== Alright then. Follow the path you see once you enter until you spot a chest at the top. Jump up onto the ledge and snag the Yellow Mana here. Now go down to find a pouch containing some Cole. There's another pouch nearby also. Once you get that, head northwest, and Extract all the Rocks here until the Chest at the top is within reach. Open it. Now head to the right and summon the Stone Mana whenever you reach a height you can't reach. Once up, head to the right, and you'll encounter a little creature that's injured. Arlin will then heal it up, and it'll run off, but come back and thank you. Delsus will spaz and you'll be taken to the creatures Village. =================== HIDDEN VILLAGE =================== Watch the cutscene, and you'll be able to transform into one of the beasts now. You'll be able to run into little cracks now, and fall from ledges you weren't able to before. Explore the town, and make sure to talk to the beast that's near you and it'll open up a Synthesis shop. This is a very important shop, as it contains the ingredients to make the Chronolex, but those will become available later. Do your shopping, explore town, picking up any items you come across, and transform to explore the little holes. Go to the lower left section of where all the cliffs are and transform to get a chest here. Once you've gotten everything you need, exit, and follow the north path to reach the Path to the Heavens again. =================== PATH TO THE HEAVENS =================== Now that we have the ability to transform, we'll have to alternate between summoning the Stone Mana, and transforming into a beast into a human. Let's begin. Head northwest, summoning the Stone Mana as needed and transforming as needed. Jump onto the teleporter, and follow the right path for a chest. Go back, and take the left (lowerleft) path to obtain a Star Piece. Now head for the upperleft path and go down for another item. Now head up and right to find a chest. Now make your way towards the yellow platform, get ontop of it and press X. Take the lowerright path for a pouch, and then go down once you get the option to for an item. Keep following the path and you'll run into another yellow platform. Take it. You'll see a Diary here. Save your game. Go right and use the yellow platform and grab the Mana Chest that contains Vamp Fangs. Now take the Yellow platform back up, and go left from the Diary, and then at the fork, take the upperright path and jump onto the teleporter and grab the item here. Head back, and go down and left. Follow the path and then go up. Take a right if you want some items, and then go back and step on the Yellow platform. Go right as far as it will take you and snatch the item here. Step onto the yellow platform to go down, and then take the yellow platform next to you once you land. Now go up, and you'll be on the world map. Follow it up, and you'll be in Avenberry. =================== AVENBERRY =================== Enter the first house to see. Delsus will go open a chest that contains 5,000 Cole. Make good use of the Camp tile here. There's also a teleporter here, but now is not the time to go back. Exit the house, and follow the path. You'll see a chest. Transform to reach it. Stay in your current state, and head up and then left to get a couple of good items. Now go all the way up until you reach the teleporter. Take it. Take a right, and jump over the arrows, landing on the blocks between them. Keep doing this until you reach the pile of black blocks. Destroy the purple blocks holding up the black ones, and summon the Stone Mana to get across. Once at the top, transform to fall down, and head for the teleporter. Grab the Mana Chest in this room that contains the Dirk. Now take the transporter nearest to you, and go up the stairs to find Iris. Now it's time to do some serious business. =================== ATELIER IRIS =================== One thing to note here, is that some of the enemies here are pretty strong. This a good place to level if you think you're a bit lacking right now. But it would be wise to wait until you reach the Camp tile here if you wish to level. Also another thing to note, the music here is too awesome. This place is huge and you can easily get lost. Take out the Growloons that you see, and head down the stairs, taking care of the Growloons here. Make sure to open the chest too. There's another Growloon upperright. Go back up the stairs and then up another pair of stairs. Extract the item near you and take the teleporter. Head up the stairs and extract the Growloon here. Now go down the stairs to the right and head around the corner for two more Growloons. Take the teleporter. Once in control again, extract the Mana Orb in front of you. Go right for an item and for some Passion Pants. Go down the stairs now, taking out any Growloons that cross your path. Go down some more stairs for another Growloon and chest. Jump over the books, extract the Mana Orb, and take the teleporter. Jump over the books here and go upstairs. Extract as many books as it takes to make it possible to reach the top, and open the chest here. Now go right and take the teleporter. Jump on the books for an item. Go down and open the chest you come across. Now go left, and head up the stairs and follow the path until you reach a camp tile. Take this time to use it to heal and save. Once ready, go right and keep following the path, extracting any Mana Orbs you run into. Now go up the stairs and keep following the path and you'll run into a cutscene, and then a fight. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Arlin, Delsus ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BOOK EATER | | HP: 2000 | | EXP: 3300 | | COLE: 2790 | 0------------------0 Make sure to take out the two enemies Book Eater brings along. (Is it just me or does the Totem sound like Spongebob Squarepants?) Anyways, the most dangerous thing about this fight, is that Book Eater will be able to put your entire party to sleep, and then follow that up with an attack that will hit you for good damage, poison you, and possibly will help him get an extra attack in. Have Klein use a Mark of Courage to start off this battle, but stay away from using a Mark of Weakness, as it will only reflect back towards Klein, lowering his already low defense. Have Arlin use Double, or if he's at a high enough level, have him use Bull's Eye to do around 600 or so damage. Delsus should be using either First Shot or Power Shot. Lita should use Stone Blast, and Norn should use whatever hits the most. As long as Klein is alive, this fight should go smoothly. If Klein dies, go berserk on his ass with offensive items. He doesn't have enough HP to take out your party completely. So just keep at it and he'll die in no time. ============================================================================== You'll then find another message from Iris. Arlin will then run across what he was looking for, Aroma Material. Watch the tutorial for it, and be happy since it's the last tutorial. Well, it's time to head back to Kavoc. Head down stairs and use the Camp tile to heal and save your game. Head back towards the Teleporter. You should spot a Mana Chest now. Transform to get to the level of where the Chest is that contains Diselement. Also get the Chest right next to it. Now go down one pair of stairs, and when you see the black blocks, stop near there. Transform, and fall off the left to get some Mana. Now fall down towards the books, and take the Teleporter. Go down the stairs, and you'll be at the entrance. Arlin will leave the party (Pooies) to do some business of his own. Now take the teleporter, watch the scene, and you'll be near Kavoc. Follow the path, and take the first left you see. =================== KAVOC =================== Once you enter, you'll be treated with a scene with Beggur. He'll knock the woman unconscience, and then the group will run in. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Lita, Delsus ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BEGGUR | | HP: 1200 | | EXP: 1200 | | COLE: 750 | 0------------------0 Beggur fights alone this time, so this will be easier than your previous encounters with him. However, Beggur now has the ability to knock your characters down for a couple of turns, so keep note of that. Just use regular attacks on Beggur. Or if you want, have Delsus use Power Shot, but skills aren't necessary for this fight, nor is healing. So just attack him and he'll fall sooner or later. ============================================================================== That's done with now. Once she awakens, she'll start talking and you'll know that her brother is Beggur. Zeldalia will then communicate with you through Norn, and Marietta will now join your party. She's pretty buffed up, but equip anything on her that will make her stronger. Once ready, exit, and let's head for Poto's Forest. You know the way. However, this time, while in Iris's Resting Place, go to where the Furnace is, and use the Stone Mana to the right of the door, and jump on the ledge. Reach the top and follow the path for a couple of Metallic Gears and a Mana Chest containing Cure Jar. Now head for Zeldalia's place, where she will be in pain. Norn will massage her, adn she'll meet you upstairs. You will now have a plan in order to make a Ruby Prism. Best place to go now is Duran. =================== DURAN =================== Head for Delsus's fathers place, and you'll learn of the location of the Tower of Marcus. Well, guess where we're heading next. In order to reach the Tower of Marcus, go south and follow the path that leads to the Forest of Ocean Mist but go by it, and keep following the path. Take either side of the fork, and continue following the path. You'll eventually reach it. =================== TOWER OF MARCUS =================== Once you enter, climb the stairs and go up to get the Cane. Easy, wasn't it? Ha. Nothing is easy in life, pal. The tower will then form, revealing more stories to the tower. You'll now be at the bottom, and Marietta will use a Stone at the Blue Stone thing, and a fight will occur. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | WATER GUARDIAN | | HP: 800 | | EXP: 928 | | COLE: 1080 | 0------------------0 You see the low HP, thinking this battle will be quickly over with, right? Guess again. Only Mana attacks can hurt this boss, and the two Vultures that she brings doesn't make this any easier. Start off by wasting the two Vultures. The Water Guardians attacks hit hard, so Klein will need to heal from time to time. Once he gets a turn where he doesn't have to heal, have him use Power Item, and use a Lightning Rod to do over 250 damage. Delsus should use Dark Shot, and if you have the Devil Bow equipped on him, it can possibly hit twice, only for low damage, and another hit for well over 200 damage. Marietta should use Heal if Klein can't get everyone healed, or she should be using Thunder God. Lita should use Force Blast and Norn should just attack. Her HP is low, so she'll fall, but her attacks are strong, so keep your HP up, even if you think she's close to death. ============================================================================== Once that's done, head to the left and use the Camp tile. You'll be making good use of this for awhile. Heal and save. Now climb the ladder, and once you run across the next stone, another battle will occur. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | WIND GUARDIAN | | HP: 800 | | EXP: 1456 | | COLE: 1360 | 0------------------0 The Wind Guardian is more deadly than the Water Guardian, and not because she has a Mega Virium with her. As usual, take care of the Mega Virium. The Mega Virium has High Defense, and High Attack, as well as High HP, so it will take a few turns to dispatch him. Once he's gone, it's time to focus on the Wind Guardian. She'll use an attack called Gnash which hits all your characters for mediocre damage. Only Mana attacks can hurt her as well, so have Delsus use Dark Shot. Avoid using Thunder God with Marietta, so have her act as your healer or defend. Have Klein use Power Item and any Mana Item that can damage except Lightning Rod. Lita should use Force Blast and Norn should just attack. Just keep at it and she'll fall. ============================================================================== Go back down to the Camp tile to heal and save. Now go back up, using the Stone Mana when needed, until you run into the next Guardian. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | FIRE GUARDIAN | | HP: 800 | | EXP: 1536 | | COLE: 1170 | 0------------------0 Having fun yet? This Guardian will come with two Cerberus's, which are the biggest threats. If they both get to attack before your party, depending on who they hit and if they hit the same person, that person may not survive Fire Guardian's first attack, unless Delsus uses Feint Shot. If this happens to Klein, just reset your game. Now then, taking out the two Cerberus's would be a good start. Make sure to stay on Guard, as the Fire Guardian has the deadly fire attack, Tera Fire, which will hit you hard. Having Marietta Heal would be a good idea. If you're running extremely low on HP, have Klein use Power Item, and use Heal Bulb. It'll get you to full health. If Klein gets a free turn, have him use Power Item and Bomb Ice to do 200 or so damage. Lita should use Force Blast, and Norn should attack. Just keep wailing on her, and hope she doesn't keep using Tera Flame, and you should win. ============================================================================== Good news. We don't have to fight the last Guardian yet. We need to get the last Orb in order to do so. So head back down to the Camp tile to heal and save. Now let's head for Duran. =================== DURAN =================== Once you enter, Delsus's sister, Faith, will offer to help you find the last Orb you need in order to get the Cane. She'll point out that it will be at a Fort. What Fort do we know of? Hmm... oh yes. Fort Galga. If you don't remember how to get there, head east from Kavoc, and once you reach the fork that leads to Lake Forwel, go North and you'll reach it. =================== FORT GALGA =================== Who the what the... it's Beggur?! It seems one of his soldiers found the Orb. Well, guess we gotta take it from him. Beggur will spot you, and will come down to face you yet again. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BEGGUR | | HP: 1200 | | EXP: 560 | | COLE: 560 | 0------------------0 This is just like the last fight you had with Beggur. He'll be alone and will be able to knock your characters down, but he's extremely weak still, so skills aren't necessary in this fight. Just wail on him with your attacks and he'll fall soon. ============================================================================== Well, we got the Orb. But before leaving to go back to the Tower of Marcus, do you remember where those two chests are that you couldn't reach before? Well, get above each one, and transform and drop to reach them. Once ready, head back to the Tower of Marcus. =================== TOWER OF MARCUS =================== Use the Camp tile to heal and save if needed, and head all the way up the Tower until you reach the next Guardian. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | EARTH GUARDIAN | | HP: 800 | | EXP: 1926 | | COLE: 1276 | 0------------------0 Praise! It's the last Guardian, but it's the toughest. It'll come with one Supreme Wolf, which already spells trouble, and it'll also come with two Phantoms. Killing the Wolf first will benefit you greatly, so get rid of it. Then focus on the Phantoms. Once the Earth Guardian is by itself, it shouldn't be too much of a threat, but it hits hard, so always be ready to heal. As usual, you'll need to use Mana skills, so have Delsus use Dark Shot, Klein should be using Power Item and any Non-Earth Mana Items he has if he gets a free turn, Marietta should use Thunder God, Lita should use Force Blast and Norn should just attack. As long as you have Heal Bulbs, you shouldn't lose this fight. ============================================================================== Wasn't that fun? Head back to the Camp tile to heal. Now keep climbing the Tower, and you'll run into a Diary. Save here. Once you reach the story with blue platforms, take them and follow them for a chest and Mana Chest. Now climb all the way to the top, and you'll grab the Cane, but as usual, someone doesn't want us taking it. But we need it. So like all of our problems, this one will be solved with violence. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | QUETZALCOATL | | HP: 7800 | | EXP: 6500 | | COLE: --- | 0------------------0 Even though this guy is big, surprisingly, he isn't very hard. He just has a lot of HP. Start off with Klein using Wide Item and a Mark of Courage. Have Delsus just use his normal attacks, as they do more than Power Shot in this fight. If you have the Devil Bow equipped to Delsus, he'll hit twice for about 500 damage. Klein will most likely get a free turn, so use Power Item and Meteor to do some good damage, and Marietta should use regular attacks as they do more than her skills. Lita should use Stone Blast and I found no use for Norn in this fight. Quetzalcoatl will use four attacks; one that will hit all three of your characters for small damage, one that will hit one character for somewhat good damage, one that will Poison and Curse your party, and one that will completely hurt you. Only one of those attacks are a two turn attack, and once he gets ready to use it, make sure you are at full health, because it will take off around 150 HP from your entire party, and if your party is still poisoned after that hit, your party may be killed off. So using Wide Item and Cure Jar would be a good idea. As long as you keep your HP up before he uses his two turn attack, you should be able to kill him without anyone dying. ============================================================================== Just be glad he wasn't as hard as Prism. Now then, you will have the Cane. You can equip this to Klein if you wish. Now it's time to head back to Kavoc. Make sure to use the Camp tile to heal and save. =================== KAVOC =================== Head for your Home, and you'll encounter a scene where a kid comes in and gives you a letter. Seems like Beggur wants one more match to determine everything. He wants you to meet him at the Outdoor Theatre. Make sure to Synthesize any Mana Items you're running low on, and make sure to save, and make haste for the Outdoor Theatre. =================== OUTDOOR THEATRE =================== You'll see Beggur, and some of his men. After all the talking, the front line will come after you. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | TONTA | | HP: 1000 | | EXP: ---- | | COLE: ---- | 0------------------0 0------------------0 | NEUN | | HP: 450 | | EXP: ---- | | COLE: ---- | 0------------------0 0------------------0 | EIN | | HP: 940 | | EXP: ---- | | COLE: ---- | 0------------------0 0------------------0 | ZWEI | | HP: 1150 | | EXP: ---- | | COLE: ---- | 0------------------0 Normally I wouldn't put this here, but this fight is rather hard. And again, I forgot to write down the Experience total and Cole total. Anyways, your first priority should be to take down Tonta, the Pig. He has the ability to knock your characters down, and in this fight, this can easily cost you the fight. Using Wide Item and a Mark of Courage wouldn't hurt, but if you want to make fight run a little more smoothly, have Klein use Power Item and have him blast Tonta, Ein, and Neun with Meteor. This will knock Neun's HP to about half, so have Delsus finish Neun off with Power Shot to prevent the healing. Now focus on the pig. Once he's gone, take your pick for either soldier. They both hit your entire party for somewhat good damage, so having Klein use with Wide Item/Heal Jar or Power Item/Heal Bulb will be a good idea since your HP will most likely be drained thanks to that stupid pig knocking down your characters. Just keep at it, and make sure to keep your HP up before finishing this fight. ============================================================================== Once they're gone, you'll now be in the final battle against Beggur. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BEGGUR | | HP: 1900 | | EXP: 4440 | | COLE: 1160 | 0------------------0 Good news and bad news. Good news, less enemies. Bad news, Beggur has a new attack. The two soldiers are easy enough to take out, and they don't hit hard, so take them out as quickly as possible. Now for Beggur, you'll want to finish him off as quickly as possible this time. He has a new attack called Dragonlord Apocalypse. This attack takes two turns, but it will hit your party for 80-100 HP. So having your HP up before him using that attack will work wonders. He'll also use it in consecutive turns, so hopefully you have enough Heal Jars or Heal Bulbs. Good news, though, is if you use Power Item and then use a Heal Bulb, it'll recover your HP to full. Just make sure you don't run out of Heal Bulbs or Mana for Klein. Have Delsus pelt Beggur with Power Shot. Marietta should be using her regular attacks. Lita should either attack as well or use Stone Blast, and Norn should be using Magic Shield to lessen the damage from Beggur's attacks. Just keep your HP up and hit him hard and he'll fall. ============================================================================== Well, that certainly was the hardest fight with Beggur, but thankfully, it's the last as well. Beggur will then come to his senses. Watch the scene, and grab the items on the stage. Now let's head back to Kavoc. =================== KAVOC =================== Once you enter Kavoc, you'll hear news of a Mining Expedition going on at Arcose. Seems Lita is interested. So head to your Home to heal and save and let's head for Arcose. =================== ARCOSE =================== Seems like they have the mining machine up and running again, since the fire salamander curse is lifted now. Let's head to the Mine to watch the scene. Remember, it's north of Arcose. Well, seems like the Curse wasn't lifted. After the scene, try to exit, and you'll run into Rurona. After some talking, she'll mention the Movagain, which cures petrification. However, she needs the ingredients to do so. So choose to help her out, and let's get started. I'll list the Ingredients in order, and where to find each. -Soot: Go to Poto Forest, and got to Zeldalia's house to get some. -A Bald Man's Hair: Head for Kavoc and go to Hagel's shop to get some hair. -Red Chicken Feather: Go to Duran, and go all the way up where the chicken is. -Bat Wing: Head for the Tower of Airfen, where Rurona will summon a batlike monster for you to do battle with. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BAAL | | HP: 1350 | | EXP: 1630 | | COLE: 800 | 0------------------0 Baal is a pumped up version of the Baphys and Legions. Baal shouldn't be treated to carelessly, though. He'll use Soul Eater, which is like Man Eater, but it does around 80 damage to a character. Baal also has Shadow Edge, and Howling, which will inflict Curse on your party, preventing you from healing yourself. Baal also has the chance to counter your attacks with any attacks he has. Have Klein use a Mark of Weakness to start this off. Have Delsus attack Baal as normal. Marietta should attack as normal too. If she's buffed up enough, she'll hit for nearly 300 damage a turn. Lita should use Stone Blast, and Norn should use Telekinesis, as it is very effective in this fight. Baal usually counters every two hits. Meaning he'll usually counter on the second hit he recieves. Just stay on Guard, and use Power Item/Heal Bulb if your entire party is weak, or Power Item/Heal Jar if one person needs healing. You'll want to keep your HP up for this fight, so make sure to be defensive as well. ============================================================================== Now that Baal is dead, you now have the final ingredient. Rurona will take it and make the Movagain for you. Well, now that we have that item, let's head back for Arcose. Head to where Arcose is, and head for the Valiant Path. =================== VALIANT PATH =================== You'll hear that screeching noise again. Put your Action Dial on the Barrier Icon and use it to cross the lava safely. Keep following the path until you reach a cutscene. Get ready. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BASILORD | | HP: 3000 | | EXP: 3776 | | COLE: 483 | 0------------------0 The first thing you'll notice is all the little Basilisk's on the screen. However, this won't pose as a huge threat, as they are all cluttered together that you can most likely take out 3/4's of them on your first turn. If you want to get rid of them quickly, have Klein use Power Item/Meteor and it'll get rid most of them, if not all of them. Once they're all gone, let's focus on Basilord. Basilord only has two threatning attacks. Shadow Edge, and Stone Breath, which will hit for high damage and possibly petrify. Having Delsus use Power Shot while he's getting ready to use Stone Breath will most likely knock him out of it, so use Power Shot whenever he's ready to use it. Klein should stick to healing, Marietta should just attacks, Lita should use Jump Kick or Force Blast, and Norn should just attack. Just keep attacking him and sooner or later, he'll fall. ============================================================================== Make sure to extract the Growloon here, and head back to the Mine to get a reward from Hute. Head to Arcose and use the Camp tile to heal and save. Now head for Poto Forest, and into Iris's Resting Place and watch the scene involving Mull. He'll attempt to attack Klein, but Lita will jump in the way. You'll then be at Zeldalia's house, with Lita resting. Soon it'll be night, and Klein will head outside, and Lita will follow. Watch the scene here. Well, it's time to head for the Land of Mana. =================== LAND OF MANA =================== Once you enter here, you'll claim that you have the things you need to make the Ruby Prism, but will learn you can't make it since there is not enough Mana to make one. However, there is a way to change this. A machine will pop up on the screen. Look familiar? It should. Time to head for Alexia Cave. =================== ALEXIA CAVE =================== Head for the room where you fought Elder Virium. The first thing you'll notice are that Growloons have inhabited here. Proceed your way to where the machine is (the path is very linear), taking out any Growloons in your way. Once you reach the machine, you'll use the Primal Gem on the Machine, and the door behind you will open up. So let's head through there. Destroy any Growloons in sight, and extract the Ice Crystals here and follow the path and you'll eventually slide down. Go down, and take the first right you see and you'll encounter a body in some ice. Well wouldn't you know it. It's Pamela's body. Now just keep following the path here, extracting any Growloons that get in your way. Go south for a pouch. Keep following the path and you'll find some stairs. Take them up, and open the Mana Chest for the Refractor, which makes invisible enemies, visible. Keep going and follow the path and you'll spot a huge hole in the ground. Seems like this is how everything became frozen. Go up the stairs you see, and then slide down and go up and left to exit. Use the Camp tile to heal and save if needed. Now head up to where the huge boulder is, and Klein will knock it over. Now let's head to Arcose. =================== ARCOSE =================== Go talk with Pamela, and you'll inform her that you found her body. She'll be skeptical at first, but then she'll want to follow you to it. Well, back to Alexia Cave. =================== ALEXIA CAVE =================== Head back down to where you were. Head over to where Pamela's body is, and she'll remember how she died. She was a sacrifice for the Dragon here (or as we know him, Elder Virium.) She escaped, but froze to death. Such a sad story. Now that she's discovered her body, she'll help you read the Litographs all over the place. So run around, going by each one and she'll read them. Once you read them all, go to where the biggest one is, and Klein will repeat all the phrases on the other Litographs. The Mana will then start rising. Seems like you did it. Exit here, and exit the cave. Find the nearest teleporter, which would be in Arcose. Take it, and let's go to the Land of Mana. =================== LAND OF MANA =================== The Mana Chiefs will recognize your deed, and will open the way to Silencia for you. Make sure to use the Camp tile first to heal and save. Once ready, exit the Land of Mana, and go north and follow the path. Once you reach the fork, go left, and follow the path and you'll eventually reach Silencia. =================== SILENCIA =================== There are plenty of Mana Orbs here, so if you're low on elements, now is the perfect time to stock up. Go up the stairs near you, and then down to the teleporter. Go down the stairs here, and you can Save your game with the Diary. Go right, and down the stairs and step onto the teleporter. You'll see a weird green looking object, and a Legion will appear. You'll have to fight three Legions, so waste them. Once you've beaten them, you'll get the ability to fly now. Popo lied... he has one last tutorial. Go back to the Diary and save your game, just incase something happens. Now then, take the northeast path from the diary, and open the chest in here which contains a Dilvine, a very good weapon for Marietta. Now go into the right teleporter, and pick up the pouches here. Head back to where the Diary is, and take the northwest path. Go straight up into the next teleporter. Extract any Mana Orbs you run into. Now go back to the Diary, and take the southeast path. Extract the fires here, and then transform to reach the top. Keep going until you reach the teleporter. Fly to the teleporter on the left side. Now use Destruction Blast to get rid of one of the Purple Blocks, and jump on the last one. Now head for the teleporter. Jump up the steps here. Go to the Lower right corner to pick up a Galgazit Bow for Delsus. Go to the lower left corner for a Mana Orb. Go to the upper left corner for a Jade Mana. And now take the upper right path for a Mana Chest containing Uroborus. Now open the door here. Keep heading up, picking up any items on the way and you'll run across two birds. Examine the right one and the Reptile Egg will be placed. You'll now have a Ruby Prism after the scene. Now let's exit Silencia. Once you're at the Tower of Airfen, a huge earthquake will let loose, setting monsters free in Kavoc. So guess where we have to go now. =================== KAVOC =================== You'll notice Growloons have invaded now. You'll have to fight a simple battle, and after that's done, you'll learn Beggur hasn't returned from the Sewers yet. You may not reach the Growloons in the center of town yet. Head into Norman's Bar and exit and crates will magically appear so you can get it. Now use Fly to get the Growloon on top of Lyla's shop, and go down to get the Mana Chest containing Divine Shield. Now fly left until you reach another Growloon. Now go up to find another Growloon. Now head up to the next screen. Head for the Church and talk with the people and head into the sewers. Make your way to the entrance of the Electrical Barrier room to see Beggur. You'll fight an easy battle. Once done, it's time to look for the boss. Head back left and down the first bridge you come across. Remember where all those boxes and barrels are? Head for there for a fight. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BARONESS | | HP: 4700 | | EXP: 5142 | | COLE: 5812 | 0------------------0 This fight really isn't that hard. Have Klein start off by using Power Item/ Meteor to take out most of the enemies. The Mull Beasts are pretty fast, and have an attack called Slam, which is similiar to Arlin's Double, and it hits for good damage, so watch out for that. Once the enemies are defeated, the Baroness shouldn't give you too much trouble. The only thing she can do to make a threat happen is use Quick which will allow her to use two attacks in a row. You should be able to handle her, though. Have Klein use a Mark of Courage to make this go faster. Arlin should just use his regular attacks, as should Marietta. Lita should also attack or use Rock Smash (if Stone Blast is leveled enough) and Norn should use her normal attachs. Just keep hitting her and she'll fall. ============================================================================== Looks like Kavoc is safe once more. You'll be back in town. Head for where your Home is, but go right and follow the slim stone path to find a Growloon here. Now go back to your Home to heal and save. Beggur indicated where Mull will be. Before leaving, make sure to Synthesize 9 Heal Jars, 9 Heal Bulbs, and 9 Elixirs. Now let's head for Iris's Resting Place. =================== IRIS'S RESTING PLACE =================== You'll encounter a cutscene with Mull and Arlin. Arlin will attempt to kill Mull, but in the end, Arlin turns into stone. Klein and the others will come over, and will follow Mull. Use the Camp tile here to save, and then head down. Follow the path until you reach Selk's Cry. =================== SELK'S CRY =================== Run down the path, ignoring the stairs until you find a chest. Open it for a Blue Mana. Now go back, and go down the stairs and keep going down the path until it splits. Go right, flying over the Lava until you see a huge Boulder. Extract it for a chest. Now transform, and follow the small path that leads to the black barrel. Jump on it and follow the little secret passage until you get enough room to transform back. Now use the Stone Mana near the spikes, and jump up to extract the spikes. Now use the Flight ability to get up to the next level and follow the path to find a Chest and Growloon. Now fly back, but once off the ledge, go to the right to find another chest. Now go back to the lava pit, and keep following the path left until you reach the new screen. Follow this path until you reach the end, and extract the Growloon. Fly to the right and take out the Growloon here as well. Fly up left until you see a chest. Then fly up for another chest, and then right for another chest. Fly all the way to the top until you find a Growloon. Now head towards the black door you see. Watch the scene, and enter it. =================== MULL'S CASTLE =================== This is it. If you need to do any Synthesizing, do it now. Head up and you'll encounter a scene. Head left and go through the passage here. Keep following the path and use the Camp tile you see to heal and save. Now transform to fall down the little square hole, and then transform back, following the path until you reach a shiny orb on the ground. The screen will shake indicating something. Jump over it (it won't hurt you. Don't worry) and go up the stairs for a Growloon. Now fly off the ledge, and land by the Camp tile. Now head back to the main room. Go right, and keep going until you see some stairs to go down. Go down them and you'll see there's an opening. Let's take it. Now keep following the path until you're able to go down. Once you are, go down for another shiny sphere. Now go back up, and use the Stone Mana to go up. Follow the path and you'll see a fire lit. Now use Fly, and carefully go over the edge, and once you're able to drop, drop, but make sure you stop so you have enough room to land on the platform with the shiny orb below you. Now go all the way down to the ground, and go right and then up. Run into the shiny orb here, get the chest, and extract the Growloon. Now head back to the map where the Camp tile is. You'll notice that the electric barrier is gone here too. Go down the steps and follow the path down to find the final shiny orb. The door to Mull will now be open. Make sure to use the Camp tile to heal and save. Once ready, head to where the door is, and enter. You'll see Mull, and he'll summon Amalgam. Mull will then perish, and you're left to not kill it, but knock some sense into it so the Mana is restored to their original forms. Let's get started. ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | AMALGAM | | HP: 31,000 | | EXP: ---- | | COLE: --- | 0------------------0 By looking at his Life, you'll realize this fight will be long, brutal, and ruthless. Speed is very important in this fight. Having Klein and Delsus with at least Speed +6 in their weapons will make this fight go more smoothly. Amalgam has a nasty arsenal of attacks to use. Sky Angel hits your character or characters for moderate damage. He'll also use an attack called Defaulter to knock off any positive attributes you have, and hurts you for moderate damage as well. However, he has three deadly attacks, two of which he uses the most. Ether Light, which takes two turns to use, will cause Poison, Paralysis, and Sleep on your party, and in this battle, Sleep can easily mean this fight is over, so make sure to have some items that cure Sleep. Elemental Extraction will hit a character for about 100 damage, but also has the chance of instantly killing that character. However, I believe this is a low chance, as no one died from it. His last move is Reason's Requiem, which will knock your characters Life into the single digits, and most likely knocking them down. This is why Speed is very important, and that Klein must get a turn before Amalgam so he can use Power Item/Heal Bulb once he's up. Now with that out of the way, let's begin. Klein should start off by using Wide Item and using Mark of Courage so whoever your using will get their attack up. Delsus was a life saver for me in this fight because of Feint shot. On occasion, he'll use Feint shot to stop some of Amalgams attacks, which literally saved my team. Delsus should be using regular attacks, or if Amalgam is getting ready to use a two turn attack, he should use Power Shot and it will most likely cause a Skill Break. Marietta should just attack normally. Klein should use a Mark of Weakness once he gets a free turn. That combined with Marietta's strength with a Mark of Courage, she was doing over 1400 damage for me. Lita should use Rock Smash/Meteor Strike/Stone Blast, or just attacking. Norn should stay out of this fight, as she'll get killed really easily. Power Item/Heal Bulb will be your friend in this fight. Using this will get your HP to full. Just keep your HP up, using a Newlife if Elemental Extraction kills someone. If Klein dies in this fight, you're pretty much screwed unless you have a Nectar, which revives. Keep recasting Mark of Courage whenever it runs out, and when Klein gets another free turn, have him use Power Item/Dragon Gem for some good damage as well. Just keep up to pace and he'll fall in a matter of time. ============================================================================== That's it! You've beaten the final boss in the game. Now sit back, and watch the scenes. However, my game locked up before the credits rolled, so I can't say anything else. I know you can save your game, though. Do so, and try to get the Secret Dungeon open. I hope you had fun playing this game, because I sure did. =================== 4.) Mana (xxmanaxx) =================== I'll list all of the Manas here. The Mana are in Chronological order, meaning I'll list them as they appear in the game. Manas will help you Synthesize certain items. Sometimes the cost will be high, or sometimes it will be low, depending on what element or what mana you're using. After every Synthesizing, make sure to give your Mana a gift to get it's health back up. Sometimes, if the Mana is at full health, it will give you an extra of the item you Synthesized. This is based on pure chance, so the only thing you can do to try to get one is keep your Mana as happy as possible. ----------------------------- Name: Popo Element: Wood Wood Element Cost: 1.0 Water Element Cost: 1.5 Special Ability: N/A Found at: N/A ----------------------------- ----------------------------- Name: Uru Element: Fire Fire Element Cost: 1.0 Light Element Cost: 2.5 Power Element Cost: 3.0 Special Ability: Destruction Blast Found at: Church in Kavoc ----------------------------- ----------------------------- Name: Plua Element: Darkness Dark Element Cost: 1.0 Spirit Element Cost: 1.5 Evil Element Cost: 3.0 Special Ability: Gather Monsters Found at: Iris's Resting Place ----------------------------- ----------------------------- Name: Diemia Element: Stone Stone Element Cost: 1.0 Power Element Cost: 2.0 Special Ability: Stepping Stone Found at: Alexia Cave ----------------------------- ----------------------------- Name: Nymph Element: Water Water Element Cost: 1.0 Air Element Cost: 2.0 Spirit Element Cost: 3.0 Special Ability: Barrier Found at: Collector's Caravan ----------------------------- ----------------------------- Name: Silwest Element: Air Air Element Cost: 1.0 Water Element Cost: 2.5 Lightning Element Cost: 3.0 Special Ability: Barrier Found at: Cleft of Nelvia ----------------------------- ----------------------------- Name: Aion Element: Life Life Element Cost: 1.0 Fire Element Cost: 2.5 Special Ability: Heal Found at: Flawless Marvel ----------------------------- ----------------------------- Name: Eital Element: Light Light Element Cost: 1.0 Fire Element Cost: 2.0 Holy Element Cost: 3.0 Special Ability: Repel Monsters Found at: Atelier Iris ----------------------------- ----------------------------- Name: Luplus Element: Time Time Element Cost: 1.0 Light Element Cost: 2.0 Dark Element Cost: 3.0 Special Ability: N/A Found at: Mull's Dungeon ----------------------------- Later in the game, you'll run into an item called the Aroma Material. This will allow you to transform your Mana to a different element. This is extremely helpful for when no Mana has a 1.0 Cost Element for what you're trying to make. Below are the Mana that can be transformed. ----------------------------- Name: Grupt Transformed from: Uru Element: Power Power Element Cost: 1.0 Fire Element Cost: 1.5 Special Ability: Destruction Blast Found at: N/A ----------------------------- ----------------------------- Name: Fanatos Transformed from: Plua Element: Evil Evil Element Cost: 1.0 Dark Element Cost: 1.5 Special Ability: Gather Monsters Found at: N/A ----------------------------- ----------------------------- Name: Flay Transformed from: Nymph Element: Spirit Spirit Element Cost: 1.0 Water Element Cost: 1.5 Special Ability: Barrier Found at: N/A ----------------------------- ----------------------------- Name: Zeilia Transformed from: Silwest Element: Lightning Lightning Element Cost: 1.0 Air Element Cost: 1.5 Special Ability: Barrier Found at: N/A ----------------------------- ----------------------------- Name: Paltia Transformed from: Eital Element: Holy Holy Element Cost: 1.0 Light Element Cost: 1.5 Special Ability: Repel Monsters Found at: N/A ----------------------------- As you can see, Popo, Diemia, Aion, and Luplus can't be transformed with an Aroma Material. In order to change a transformed Mana back, go to the Mana Status screen, select the Mana, and choose the last option and the Mana will return to normal. =================== 5.) Mana Skill Boosts (xxmsb) =================== During the storyline, you'll be able to equip Mana onto your characters and when that Mana levels up, certains skills will get a little boost. Weapon Synthesis (xxwpnxx) =================== A very huge thanks to dwm042 for allowing me to use his guide as a reference. Early into the game (after the first meeting with Zeldalia), you'll be warped to a strange world which is known as Fairy World. Here, a fairy will teach you how to Synthesize weapons, meaning you can now Crystallize Mana Stones into certain attributes, and put them in your weapons. This will be very helpful in the late stages of the game. However, not all weapons can take Mana Stones. The following weapons/armors are able to have Mana Stones inserted into them; Klein's Cane {Klein} Wing Staff {Norn} Fairy Cane {Norn} Astral Cane {Klein} Divine Cane {Klein} Fairy Claw {Lita} Ebony Claw {Lita} Astral Gauntlet {Lita} Whip Sword {Marietta} Fairy Blade {Arlin/Marietta} Eden Blade {Arlin} Phantom Blade {Arlin} Para Sword {Marietta} Galgazit Bow {Delsus} Fairy Bracer {Anyone} Locket Of Live {Lita} Locket Of Wishes {Klein} Bio Frame {Anyone} Each weapon can hold up to 3 abilities or attributes. For example, the Fairy Bracer has empty slots. You can put in a Pierce, Double Attack, and +9 Speed. If any more than 3 are put into a weapon/armor, one of the abilities or attributes will disappear. It's wise not to gamble with this, as you may lose something valuable. Now then, there are a number of different of Mana Stones. They are as follow; Black Blue Crimson Dark Glowing Gold Green Jade Red Silver Yellow About half of these can be bought in Fairy World or by the Renegade Fairy that appears once you have enough Cole. Now then, enough talk about how to get Mana Stones. Some Mana Stones are extremely useful in order to make some great abilities, while others are good for making attributes. Below is a list of Mana and the results you get from the stone you use on them. ALWAYS make sure to save after each successful Synthesis session. Bosses (xxbossxx) =================== This section will list all the bosses in the game. Keep in mind that all of these Hit Points are rough estimates, so some may be right, while some may be a little off. ============================================================================== 0------------------0 | GENERAL BEGGUR | | HP: 400 | | EXP: 220 | | COLE: 440 | 0------------------0 This will be your first real boss fight, and it isn't hard, so don't fret. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== 0------------------0 | NORN | | HP: 460 | | EXP: 291 | | COLE: 176 | 0------------------0 This fight is rather difficult if you underestimate her. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Norn, Arlin ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | SUPER PUNI | | HP: 700 | | EXP: 645 | | COLE: 1730 | 0------------------0 Super Puni comes with some Red Punis and two Golden Punis. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Norn, Arlin ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BEGGUR | | HP: 700 | | EXP: --- | | COLE: --- | 0------------------0 First off, yes, there is Exp and Cole, but stupid me forgot to write it down. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Norn, Arlin ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BRIGAND | | HP: 650 | | EXP: 816 | | COLE: 1114 | 0------------------0 Another fight with a good amount of enemies. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Arlin ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | JIN RIDER | | HP: 760 | | EXP: 1200 | | COLE: 1200 | 0------------------0 If you destroyed all the Growloons, then he'll fight by himself. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Arlin, Delsus ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | ELDER VIRIUM | | HP: 3200 | | EXP: 2400 | | COLE: 3700 | 0------------------0 This is easily the hardest boss you've faced so far. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== 0------------------0 | ARLIN | | HP: ---- | | EXP: ---- | | COLE: ---- | 0------------------0 Arlins stats are related to what he has on now. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Arlin, Delsus ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | PRISM | | HP: 7000 | | EXP: 4200 | | COLE: 6200 | 0------------------0 This boss is extremely hard. (Note this is with Power Item.) ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Arlin, Delsus ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BOOK EATER | | HP: 2000 | | EXP: 3300 | | COLE: 2790 | 0------------------0 Make sure to take out the two enemies Book Eater brings along. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Lita, Delsus ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BEGGUR | | HP: 1200 | | EXP: 1200 | | COLE: 750 | 0------------------0 Beggur fights alone this time, so this will be easier than your previous encounters with him. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | WATER GUARDIAN | | HP: 800 | | EXP: 928 | | COLE: 1080 | 0------------------0 You see the low HP, thinking this battle will be quickly over with, right? ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | WIND GUARDIAN | | HP: 800 | | EXP: 1456 | | COLE: 1360 | 0------------------0 The Wind Guardian is more deadly than the Water Guardian, and not because she has a Mega Virium with her. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | FIRE GUARDIAN | | HP: 800 | | EXP: 1536 | | COLE: 1170 | 0------------------0 Having fun yet? ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BEGGUR | | HP: 1200 | | EXP: 560 | | COLE: 560 | 0------------------0 This is just like the last fight you had with Beggur. He'll be alone and will be able to knock your characters down, but he's extremely weak still, so skills aren't necessary in this fight. Just wail on him with your attacks and he'll fall soon. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | EARTH GUARDIAN | | HP: 800 | | EXP: 1926 | | COLE: 1276 | 0------------------0 Praise! ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | QUETZALCOATL | | HP: 7800 | | EXP: 6500 | | COLE: --- | 0------------------0 Even though this guy is big, surprisingly, he isn't very hard. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | TONTA | | HP: 1000 | | EXP: ---- | | COLE: ---- | 0------------------0 0------------------0 | NEUN | | HP: 450 | | EXP: ---- | | COLE: ---- | 0------------------0 0------------------0 | EIN | | HP: 940 | | EXP: ---- | | COLE: ---- | 0------------------0 0------------------0 | ZWEI | | HP: 1150 | | EXP: ---- | | COLE: ---- | 0------------------0 Normally I wouldn't put this here, but this fight is rather hard. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BEGGUR | | HP: 1900 | | EXP: 4440 | | COLE: 1160 | 0------------------0 Good news and bad news. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BAAL | | HP: 1350 | | EXP: 1630 | | COLE: 800 | 0------------------0 Baal is a pumped up version of the Baphys and Legions. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BASILORD | | HP: 3000 | | EXP: 3776 | | COLE: 483 | 0------------------0 The first thing you'll notice is all the little Basilisk's on the screen. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | BARONESS | | HP: 4700 | | EXP: 5142 | | COLE: 5812 | 0------------------0 This fight really isn't that hard. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Marietta ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | AMALGAM | | HP: 31,000 | | EXP: ---- | | COLE: --- | 0------------------0 By looking at his Life, you'll realize this fight will be long, brutal, and ruthless. ============================================================================== ----- ============================================================================== ----------------------------- My Party: Klein, Delsus, Arlin ----------------------------- 0------------------0 | GOLDEN PIG (3) | | HP: 11,000 | | EXP: ---- | | COLE: --- | 0------------------0 I forgot to write down the Exp and Cole again. The (3) represents that there are three of them in this fight. Let me first tell you, that this fight is 98% based off of Luck. 2% is based on your characters stats, mainly HP, Str, and Def. The Pigs will get to attack first, and they can use Quick, which will get them another turn, so that's 6 hits in one turn. What makes this fight extremely dangerous, is that the pigs have the ability to knock you down with Hyper Charge, and it works 99% of the time. Klein is the most important character in this fight. If you leave him out to start the battle, it won't do any good since Klein will need to heal, and we can't do that on his first turn. If Klein dies on you, or is Knocked down, reset your game. Now then, on Klein's first turn, have him use Divine Shield, because using that is the only chance you'll have of surviving this brutal onslaught. Once that's done, have Arlin use Bull's Eye which will knock off a good 1,000+ HP. Delsus should be using Power Shot. Lita should use MeteorStrike. Norn should be using Illusion, and Marietta should stick with Halberd as Thunder God is a 2 turn attack, and she most likely won't get it off before she gets knocked down. If Klein is still alive during your parties second turn, and no one needs healing due to Divine Shield, have him use Power Item and Dragon Gem to knock off about 1800 HP. Delsus should now use Spirit Blast to knock off about 1,000 damage as well. The Pigs will use Hyper Charge about 60% of the time, so having high HP and Def will help your characters from being killed off while they're knocked down. This fight is extremely hard, and will take you several tries to claim victory. Make sure to hit all the pigs, as leaving one standing is lethal. Every bit of damage counts, so don't hold back. For reference, my main party (Klein, Delsus, and Arlin) were at the following levels: Klein; 68, Delsus; 68, Arlin; 66. Klein had a Speed +9 in his Divine Cane and Fairy Bracer, as well as a Life +9 in his Cane, and Fairy Bracer, and a Def +9 in his Bracer. Delsus had Speed +9 and Life +9 in his Galgizet Bow. Arlin had a Speed +9 in his Eden Blade, and had on a War Tux, and had on a Chronolex with Pierce. ============================================================================== =================== 8.) FAQ (xxfaq) =================== Q: How do I synthesize Mana Items? A: Once you obtain a Mana item, you'll see how much elemental cost it is to Synth. Simple gather enough mana elements for that item, choose to Synth, and choose how many you want to make. Q: I can't beat [boss name here]. Any suggestions? A: Some people from the message boards have been claiming that leveling up your characters also levels up the bosses. I'm not sure if this is true or false, but make sure to have a good amount of healing items before each fight, and if need be, level a little. Q: Where are all the rest of the subsections? A: The other subsections will be up in time. Please do not contact me telling me that I need to add them. I'll add them on my own time, whenever I get the time to get everything in. Q: Your FAQ has a horrible layout. Why? A: Believe it or not, I do get quite a number of these. My policy is if my FAQ can be helpful, then I don't need to do a fancy layout. If my guide can help answer your question on where to go next, or what to do next, then it has served it's purpose. If my FAQ still isn't very helpful, then check out RpgGamer05's walkthrough or any of the other ones posted. They are very helpful and detailed. Q: I can't unlock some items to Synthesize in stores. Why? A: Either Synthesize items you haven't yet, or Synthesize items you have with different ingredients. You'll either get something different, or get a higher or lower review. Try to get high reviews, as this can help as well in unlocking recipes. Q: How do I unlock the Bonus Dungeon? A: After beating the game, and saving, head back to your Home in Kavoc, and Delsus should mention something about a blue haired warrior in a dungeon just discovered. If you don't get this, then do some more sidequests and more store synthesizing until you get the scene. To reach the Bonus Dungeon (Mull's Dungeon), go Ka Luda's Playground from the Kavoc side. Go up the stairs, and use flight to go left and down and you'll see a rock with a teleporter on it. Take it, and follow the path to find the bonus dungeon. More to come later as they appear in my e-mail. =================== 9.) Credits/Thanks (xxcrxx) =================== GameFAQs and other sites: For hosting this FAQ and my other FAQs.
