Sanity Beach ------------------------------------------------------ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Crash Cove [CC1] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is an extremely easy level, just get a good driver, such as Crash, and win in 1st place. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Roo’s Tubes [RT1] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Again, Roo's Tubes is an easy level. There is a jump toward the end on which you do the turbo trick by hitting "L1" at the peak of the jump and hop over the thing that looks like a bridge. This trick really comes in handy when you are in second or third place. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mystery Cave [MT1] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a semi-difficult level. You need a quick driver and a good mind. Now those jumping flames in the middle of the track will burn you and slow you down. When you're on the jump, aim for the one that the flame just came down on. Then you got to worry about those little jumps. Just go over the ones pointing up and you’re home free. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sewer Speedway [SS1] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a fun, but annoying level. You notice huge barrels rolling around. Just speed pass them. If you hit them, you will get flattened and you will have your speed reduced by a lot, putting you behind in the race. As for the two way opening, save a TNT crate or something that will hurt your enemies on both sides. Those jumps you will see aren’t a big deal. Just use the turbo boost pads to help out. Just keep repeating this technique and you will be good to go. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Boss Race 1 - Ripper Roo [BR1] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This race, you are facing the boss of N. Sanity Beach. His name is Ripper Roo, whom you have to race against in his own track, Roo’s Tubes. Roo has an endless supply of TNT crates in which he will throw at you throughout the race. Just watch out for these, and you will be fine. He is faster than you, which means that you will have to hit almost every boost to keep up with him. If you need aid on the track, refer to section Roo's Tubes. When you win, he will hand over the key that will enable you to pass into the next section, The Lost Ruins. ------------------------------------------------------ Zone Two - The Lost Ruins [TLR2] ------------------------------------------------------ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Coco Park [CP2] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a real basic level. It is pretty much a Nascar Track, which is a large oval, except Coco Park has one or two gimmicks which you can breeze by. There really is no way to help you on this level, all I can say is just pass people and shoot for first place. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tiger Temple [TT2] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This level is very infuriating. You must get those jumps. When you hit the cave with the fire shooting statues, just wait and go. If someone is ahead of you use a weapon. After all, I’m sure you hit a weapons box in there. The second cave does not have fire breathing statues. Just race like you want to kill the person in front of you and you'll do good. There is also a shortcut in this level, I know where it is, but I cannot figure out how to get to it. Right before the first jump, you will make a right turn. Instead of going on the right turn, slam into the wall that curves. (The one across the street, not the right side) What always happens to me is I will see a flash of the shortcut, but I will slam into the wall and not be able to go through. I do not know if this is a glitch in my game or what, but I know that the shortcut is there. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Papu’s Pyramid [PP2] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This level is very disturbing. When you first launch off of the starting line, you will see a large pyramid, hence the name. Soon enough, you will have to go up the pyramid. It helps if you drift around the corners, all six of them, in one fluid motion. After getting out of the pyramid, stay in the middle at all times when around the flowers. This will cause you not to get eaten by them. There’s also a shortcut, but I recommend you don’t take it. If you do want to take it, you will need a speed booster or an Aku-Aku. Right before you go off of the smaller jump to the level that the start/finish line is on, make a small left and hit "L1". This will cause you to jump onto a smaller ledge. If you don't make it, you will lose a lot of time. If you do make it, you will probably gain about five seconds on the other racers. Just do these tips and hit the people with your weapons, and you'll be smoking. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dingo Canyon [DC2] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the beginning go on whatever side the rolling armadillo isn’t on. Then, just speed down that hill and choose the left side in the fork since its faster. Once again when you jump off the ledge to get to the finish line, the armadillo will be there. Just try to choose the side it isn’t on. Do this and your home free. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Boss Race 2 - Papu [BR2] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The boss of The Lost Ruins is the overweight pharoah, Papu. He drives a cart that is much too small for him, and because of his weight, you would expect him to go really slow, but no, he is faster than you. Like Ripper Roo, Papu has an unlimited supply of weapons, except Papu has red and green potions. If you hit a green potion, no biggie, just don't hit it again. If you hit a red one, though, you're in trouble. You will spin out and your speed will greatly decrease for a few seconds, giving Papu a nice lead on you. Like before, when you are ascending the pyramid, try to get it all done in one drift. If you do not think that you are skilled enough for that, just do a small drift on each of the corners and hit all of the boosts. Just racing well won't give you the win, however. You are going to have to hit Papu with a nice amount of weapons before you even have a dream of catching up to him. I find that firing homing missles at him works the best, but he may throw a potion and destroy your missle. Just keep trying, and take the shortcut if you are desperate enough. If you need some help on the actual structure of the track, refer to section "Papu's Pyramid". After your victory, Papu will give you a key which will enable you to go into the next section, Glacier Park. ------------------------------------------------------ Zone Three - Glacier Park [GP3] ------------------------------------------------------ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Blizzard Bluff [BB3] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This level is easy as pie. Just avoid the boulders and be careful on the ice. There’s a shortcut and I recommend you take it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dragon Mines [DM3] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the start of this race, you will have to make an immediate left turn. Do so, and you'll be in a cave. Travel through the cave and make sure that you avoid the mine carts, as they will flatten you and decrease your speed greatly. After manuvering through the cave, you will come to a wooden bridge that spirals up. Do not attempt to drift up this, as you will either fall down into the middle or stay up against the wall. Just try to drive around the curves. Then you will come to some more caves. Just avoid the mine carts like before and if you can, try to hit your enemies into the carts for a nice lead. Pummel your enemies with items and repeat the steps for all three laps. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Polar Pass [PP3] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the start of the race, you will launch off onto a large ice cube with seals sliding across it. Go on the other side the seals are on. When you get to the part where the road where the road forks, stay on the left side. You must be going mid-fast so that you don’t over lap the boosters. When turning to get that last booster slow down using square then go onto the booster. Get a fast speed and hopefully get a booster use after you pass the first seal and jump over that wall. To do this, you'll have to use a Turbo Trick by hitting "L1" at the peak of the jump, and you will jump over the wall, giving you about a three second lead on the other racers. Then you'll come to another big ice cube that you just have to go straight on. Soon enough, you'll come to a large jump with a boost on the end of it. If you can land a Turbo Trick on this jump, you will get about a second lead on the other racers, giving you a total of about a four second lead if you did everything well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tiny Arena [TA3] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The beginning this level is pain. Go as fast as you can and jump the mud. You need a really good turner for this level. If you don't have a character who can turn well, I suggest drifting. Always hit the boosters and do Turbo Tricks whenever possible. When you are at the end of the track, try to hit all of hte booster pads. Throughout the track, there will be item boxes in the air. You MUST do a Turbo Trick to get these. Just keep doing this for all of the laps and you should be the holder of the gold trophy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Boss Race 3 - Komodo Joe [BR3] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For this race, you are racing the Komodo Dragon (or atleast I think because he is Komodo Joe) Komodo Joe. He, like the other bosses, has an unlimited supply of weapons, except this time, he has unlimited Nitros, TNT's, and red and green potions. Watch out for these, as they will really slow you down. Especially, watchout for the Nitro's because if you hit them, you don't have a chance to get them off, they just go BOOM. You race Komodo Joe in his track, Dragon Mines. He cannot get flattened by the mine carts, but you can so that is a pretty big disadvantage. Also, like the other bosses, he is faster than you, which means that you will have to pummel him with items upon items. Komodo Joe also always perfectly does the wooden spiral, so you will haveb to get pretty good at that. If you need help with the track, refer to section Dragon Mines. After beating Komodo Joe, he will cough up his key that will unlock the door to the last area, Citadel City. ------------------------------------------------------ Zone Four - Citadel City [CC4] ------------------------------------------------------ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ N. Gin Labs [NGL4] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In the start of the track, you will immediately have to manuever through a series of left/right turns. Soon, you will get to a jump where you get your first item crate and a little before that, you will hit a few fruit crates. Anyway, go off of the jump and you'll land before a tunnel. In this tunnel, it is completley encased in boosters. Here, drop a few TNT/Nitro's because the enemies have a higher percentaile chance of hitting it. After the tunnel, you'll be in a room where toxic cans that are much larger than you keep falling. If you get hit by them, you will get flattened and...you know the rest. I find that it is helpful if you stay on the left side of the rolling barrels and get good air to jump and get the box. Just keep doing this for all three laps and you'll be a-ok. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cortex Castle [CC4] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the beginning, go on the right side so the spider doesn’t hit you. When you encounter the other two, (They're in the larger hallway after you go off the jump) stay in the middle. This is the only thing messes people up.This track is actually one of the easier ones, so you shouldn't have too much trouble with it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hot Air Skyway [HAS4] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This level is full of turns and jumps. It is also the hardest track in the game, for some added effect. When you first start off, just follow the track and make sure that you don't fall off. You shouldn't have much trouble with the beginning. Towards the middle is when the track starts to get hard.´When you get to the part of the track where the road forks off into a jump and a smaller jump. (The larger jump is on the right, smaller on the left) If you have a decent amount of speed, which is if you haven't fallen off of the track in awhile, take the right and you will gain about a second or two. Make sure you do the Turbo Trick or you might not make it to the other side, and then you will also have to take the slower way. If you take the small jump, just stay straight and don't swerve. After you get to the part of the track after the jumps, stay in the center of the track, and if you can, stay very close to the right edge of the track. This will save you the most time. After that, it is smooth sailing. Just hit all of the item boxes and try to pummel your opponents with missles and cannonballs. The most important factor in this race is not to swerve and don't get carried away with your jumps. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Oxide Station [OS4] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is N. Oxide’s track. You will face him in it. This track is really simple. Just don’t get carried away on the jumps. Most of the track is closed in with side guards, so you can't fall off. The track may look confusing, but it is really just a huge straightaway. Hit racers with weapons and you'll be fine. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Boss Race 4 - Pinstripe [BR4] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pinstripe is the boss of this zone. She is a weasel, I think, and you race her in her own track, Hot Air Skyway. Not only are you racing her in the hardest track in the game, she has an advantage over you like the other bosses. She also has unlimited ammo, except this time, she can shoot cannonballs foward and back. Just really treat her like a normal racer and race the track like you did last time. It is normal for you to have to retry this track many times before you actually succeed. If you fall off of the track more than four times, restart the race because then you have no dream of beating her. If you need help with the actual track, refer to section Hot Air Skyway. After beating Pinstripe, she will give you the final key that will unlock N. Oxide's race. ------------------------------------------------------ Boss Race 5 - N. Oxide [BR5] ------------------------------------------------------ You are about to race N. Oxide. This guy will cheat before you can start racing. He gets a head start on you on the last count. He starts off by sending out a TNT and nitro at the same time. Then he switches to a green potion and a red potion. If he passes you, get him with a missile/bomb, he will just spin. It will give you some time to get ahead of him, though. Lay TNT/Nitro crates and potions on the boosts. When you do this, just make sure that you don't hit them yourself. Oxide isn't really that hard. Just race the track and try to hit him with weapons and before you know it, you will have won. After you beat him, it shows a cutscene of Oxide flying away and the game leaves you thinking that there will be a sequel to the game, but unfortunatley, there is not. ------------------------------------------------------ Zone Five - Gemstone Valley [GV5] ------------------------------------------------------ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Slide Coliseum [SC5] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This track is filled with twists and turns. If you just drift around all of the turns and hit your enemies, you should do fine. If you still need help, there’s a shortcut on the third mini-hill pile. Jump over it and it should move you up a place. Just keep on doing this for all three laps and you will be successful. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Turbo Track [TT5] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This track is pretty straightfoward. Race hard and attack with passion and you will have succeded before you know it. ------------------------------------------------------ Usable Characters [CHTR] ------------------------------------------------------ Not Usable: Fake crash N.
