I need $20, so hopefully I'll get it. I don't think I'll do that much right now, maybe in a week. June 18, 2009: Version .33 released. It's .33 cause it's 1/3 of the way there. I'm working hard on the guide, and I expect it to be done by June 26. June 19, 2009: Version .42 released. Not a big update, but I'm updating this every chance I get. I know people want to see how to beat every map, so I'm not going to wait until I have 2 or 3 maps done to update. I should have 2 new maps done by tomorrow, but don't hold me to that. June 21, 2009: Version .50 released. As I said, don't hold me to anything, and so I present to you my half-finished guide. Six maps remain, and really, it takes a lot of time just to write up one map, so hopefully I'll have it done by my goal of June 26. I can say that this guide WILL be done by July, and that is a guarantee. June 22, 2009: Version .58 released. New versions daily! Woohoo! Just one extra map strat is included, and it'll have to last for a few days, as I have a final tomorrow and Wednesday. I plan on having a two or three map update on Friday, however, so look for that. Unless it doesn't get accepted in time, of course. June 24, 2009: Version .66 released. All W1 and W2 maps are done. My last map strat's not a Perfect, and you can read my apology at the end of it. I was playing for two hours straight on one map, and I just couldn't find a way to clear it without summoning. Anyways, enjoy the update. I promise I'll update that map strategy within a few weeks of the full release. Thank you very much for reading and I hope this has been helpful! June 26, 2009: Version .74a released. Why the a? Well, I only added a third of a new map, but the major addition here is a Perfect strat for Melby Point (Adv) that I just did today! Turns out you can use the original Melby Point strat for the first 22 waves, which will give you more than enough Gil to clear the rest of the map without losing a Crystal! Again, thanks for reading, and enjoy! June 28, 2009: Version .83 released. Before, I really meant Version .75a was released, but whatever. I have updated the guide, and as of today, Version .74a is not up on the site because it is awaiting approval (I'll never understand why updates need approval), but regardless, I have completed the first W3 map, but I can't update yet because I don't want to lose my place in the queue. After today, I have only two more days until it becomes July, and I promised I'd be finished by July, so I've got to work harder. I'll be submitting the finished guide on Tuesday, that way it will be up by Wednesday. This means I need to finish the last three maps by Tuesday night. That should be fun. I'm gonna try to fit one more map in by the end of today, so at least I'll have a head start. UPDATE: Done with the second W3 map. Whew. Now I can afford to do one map on Monday and one on Tuesday. I'll attempt to post the finished version Tuesday morning, that way it will almost certainly be up by Wednesday. Finally nearing the end! July 2, 2009: Version 1.0 released! Finally done. A little late, but done. I said it'd be done by July, so only a day late! Thanks for reading. =============================================================================== ToC =============================================================================== Enter the code of the section you want after hitting CTRL+F. Crystal Defenders is a game from Square Enix loosely based on the Final Fantasy series. The objective? Kill all enemies before they reach the end of the path. How do you go about doing this? Quite simply, create warriors to defend the path and level them up. Every time a monster makes it to the end of the path, you lose a crystal. If a boss makes it to the end of the path, you'll lose several crystals. It's a very basic concept, but it turns out to be quite fun. Let's jump in. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= CD-2 .Classes. There are many different types of party members you can recruit in Crystal Defenders: Soldiers, Black Mages, Archers, White Monks, Time Mages, Thieves, Berserkers, Dragoons, Fencers, Hunters, Flintlocks, and Tinkers. This part of the guide is designed to let you know the strengths and weaknesses of each. -Soldiers and Fencers- The Soldier is extremely powerful. Unfortunately, he cannot attack any monster that flies; he will just sit there and do nothing as it passes. Soldiers also lack good range, so it's best to place them in areas where enemies will be coming from different directions. This way, there will always be an enemy to attack. Fencers have the exact same stats as Soldiers, except Fencers are only in W3 maps. -Black Mage- Black Mages are one of the three ranged classes in Crystal Defenders. The game says that they are the strongest, however, that is only true after they are leveled up a bit. They also have a relatively slow cast time. Regardless, Black Mages have great range and can attack multiple enemies at once, making them the most useful magic class in the game. -Archers and Hunters- Archers are the only ranged class that can deal physical damage, which makes them perfect against aerial enemies that are resistant to magic. Not only is their fire rate admirable, but their power is significantly better than that of the Black Mages. To put it accurately, Archers are right in between Soldiers and Black Mages in terms of power. Hunters are exactly the same as Archers, except Hunters are only available in W3 maps. -White Monks and Berserkers- White Monks are very effective close-range warriors that can deal physical damage multiple targets at once. They are slightly more powerful than Archers, making them ideal for breaking up large groups of enemies. They tend to be less useful against bosses, and they, like Soldiers, cannot attack aerial targets. Berserkers and White Monks are exactly the same; Berserkers are only available in W2 and W3 maps. -Time Mage- Time Mages are impotent ranged spellcasters that can slow down the movement of enemies. They are quite powerful at Level 1 compared to other similar classes, but they have very slight increases in attack upon leveling up. The primary benefit of leveling up a Time Mage is for a bonus in slow power, which does help, but it really isn't worth having more than one of them fully leveled. -Thief- Perhaps the most useful class in the game, Thieves do nothing but double your gil gained by defeating enemies. They cannot attack; they can only move near defeated enemies and give you double the amount of gil that you would usually get. Unfortunately, Thieves have terrible range, so it's best to put them right in the middle of combat where they can loot from more kills. -Dragoon- Dragoons are only available in W2 and W3 maps. They are the strongest and slowest class in the game. They have incredible range, and can be extremely effective when upgraded to cover the whole map. -Flintlocks- Flintlocks are similar to Dragoons, but rather than dealing physical damage, Flintlocks deal magical damage. Also, Flintlocks are a bit faster than Dragoons. Flintlocks are only available in W3 maps. -Tinkers- Tinkers are creatures with incredible stopping power, literally. They can freeze both enemies and allies dead in their tracks for a few seconds. Unfortunately, they have the worst range in the entire game. Tinkers can be extremely helpful against fast-moving enemies, and when placed properly, can be the difference between stopping your enemies or letting them through. Tinkers are only available in W3 maps. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= CD-3 .Power Crystals. Power Crystals modify the stats of party members located within their range. They affect both physical and magical warriors. There are three types of Power Crystals in Crystal Defenders: -Red Crystals- Red Crystals increase the attack power of nearby units. -Yellow Crystals- Yellow Crystals increase the attack speed of nearby units. -Blue Crystals- Blue Crystals increase the attack range of nearby units. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= W A L K T H R O U G H =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- CD-4 .Bisga Greenlands. This is, of course, the easiest map in the game. Let's get right to it. -Waves 1-9- For the first few waves, it's best to stick to using only Soldiers. Be sure to place them in the middle of the map, right on the thin strip next to the first turn. Once you have gil to spare, have a Thief right next to the Soldiers to increase the amount of money you get from your kills. Once Wave 9 comes, you are definitely gonna need some Archers. Place them under the Soldiers and level them both up to around Level 4. -Boss: Nagaraja- To prepare for Nagaraja, make sure you have at least two Soldiers at Level 4 in addition to the rest of your party. If you've been holding out on placing Thieves, now would be a good time for it. You'll get a lot of money from them. -Waves 11-19- These next few waves require a little more variety. Just use your Soldiers for Waves 11-14, upgrading as necessary. Level 15 is where you'll want to throw in a few more Archers and upgrade them to Level 4. You might need a few more Soldiers for the next few waves, and you'll definitely need them for the Boss. You will need a lot of Black Mages at high levels for Wave 18, however. -Boss: Vrtra- To prepare for Vrtra, level up one of your Soldiers to Level 7. Make sure your other Soldiers are at least Level 4 as well. With a good army of Soldiers, Vrtra is nothing. -Waves 21-29- You may want to start off by making a Time Mage to slow the Hellhounds down. It would also be beneficial to have Archers and Soldiers ready to take them down. You're going to want to level up your Soldiers, cause you're gonna need them for Waves 21-23. For Wave 24, you'll only need two Level 7 Archers, but four or five Level 4 Archers should do the trick, assuming you have them placed in the middle of several paths. Wave 25 can be handled with a combination of Soldiers and White Monks. You only need one or two White Monks at Level 4 in addition to your Soldiers. As for Wave 26, you will need at least two Level 7 Black Mages, not to mention a Level 4 Time Mage. For Wave 27, upgrade your Soldiers; you'll need two Level 7s in addition to your current party. Wave 28 might cause some trouble since you can't use magic, but two Level 7 Archers, two Level 7 Soldiers, and one Level 7 White Monk will get the job done. You'll need to make another Level 7 Soldier if you want to take on Wave 29 as well. -Boss: Ifrit, Carbuncle, Unicorn- This is exactly what you need if you actually want to beat this without losing any crystals. Six Level 7 Soldiers, a Level 7 White Monk, two Level 7 Black Mages, and three Level 7 Archers. Even if you can't kill any of them, as long as you have 7 or more Crystals, you'll be fine. Congratulations! You beat the Bisga Greenlands! Now let's go for Advanced. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= CD-5 .Bisga Greenlands (Adv). This is definitely harder than the previous map, so if you had trouble with that, you're not gonna like this. -Waves 1-9- Start off with a Soldier on the horizontal strip on the far right. Position him on the leftmost and lowest portion of the strip. After Wave 1, make another Soldier, and position him directly above the other. Upgrade both to Level 2 in preparation for Wave 3. A great setup that will take you through to Wave 9 is to have your two Soldiers at Level 3 and Level 2, have a Thief next to them, and then make another Soldier just above the second corner in the map. For Wave 9, you're gonna want two Archers. Place them in the middle of the long vertical strip and make sure they're as far to the left on the strip as possible. Make them both Level 3 and you're good. -Boss: Nagaraja- In preparation for Nagaraja, place a Thief on the same piece of land as your leftmost Soldier, but make sure he is on the vertical strip below the Soldier. Now, place two more Thieves directly above and below your Archers on the thin vertical strip, and make sure they are as low and high as they can go. Level up one Archer to Level 4 and you're good. -Waves 11-19- Spend some time upgrading your Soldiers. Get the one on the left up to Level 4. With one Level 4 Soldier and two Level 3 Soldiers, you'll cruise through to Wave 15. Here, just make sure you have two Level 4 Archers on that vertical strip. This will last until Wave 18. At Wave 18, place a Time Mage across the Thief on the left of the map; make sure it is on the top edge of the leftmost island, just below your Soldier. Now, place a Black Mage directly below the Time Mage, making sure it is located just barely left of the big plant on the bottom left. Place a Thief below the big plant, then place another Black Mage above the Thief on the top left. Now place another Time Mage on the right side of the vertical strip, just above the Archer. Follow that up with a Black Mage right next to it. Level all of your Black Mages to Level 5, and all of your Time Mages to Level 4. Wave 19 will not be a problem either. -Boss: Vrtra- You're good; seriously, don't change a thing. You can level up a few Thieves if you'd like, but nothing past Level 2. -Waves 21-29- Start off by upgrading your top left Soldier to Level 6. Proceed to upgrade both of your Archers a few levels, then upgrade your right Soldiers to Levels 5 and 6. This should hold until Wave 24. For Wave 24, upgrade your two Archers to Level 6, along with your three Black Mages. This will last until Wave 26, where you'll need to place a Time Mage directly on the left of your bottom left Black Mage, along with a Time Mage below your right Soldiers on the top of the strip across from them. Level the Time Mages up to 4, and level all of your Black Mages to Level 7. For Wave 27, upgrade all of your Soldiers to Level 7. For Wave 28, simply level both of your Archers to Level 7. No upgrading is necessary for Level 29, so get ready for a boss. -Boss: Ifrit, Carbuncle, Unicorn- Alright, you're gonna need some Soldiers. Place one below your bottom left Black Mage, and then place one in the top right corner of the grass at the intersection. Now place a Time Mage in the middle of the horizontal path at the very bottom of the map. Follow that up by placing an Archer below the Time Mage on the tiny vertical strip on the bottom right. Make sure EVERY SINGLE person you have placed on the map is LEVEL 7! Excluding Time Mages and Thieves, which should be Levels 4 and 1 or 2, respectively. With this, you're good. Congratulations, you've completely conquered the Bisga Greenlands! Next up, the Orchise Snowfields. It's good to get at least a different looking map. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= CD-6 .Orchise Snowfields. This is a whole new map, so it'll take a little getting used to. It features two entrances, unlike Bisga, which makes it more challenging. -Waves 1-9- Place two Soldiers on the vertical strip in the middle. These Soldiers will be your main source of defense until Wave 9. Try to upgrade them as much as possible. Try to make a Thief right above your Soldiers around Wave 3, and use all of your Gil to upgrade your Soldiers. When Wave 9 comes, make an Archer at the bottom right corner of the vertical strip your Soldiers and Thief are on. Also, put an Archer at the top left corner of the top right square of the map. I know, that's confusing. Think about it! Now make a Thief at the top left corner of the vertical strip across from your Archer. Level up your Archers to Levels 3 and 4 and you're good. -Boss: Nagaraja- Level up both of your Soldiers to level 4 in addition to your current party and you'll be good. -Waves 11-19- Your current setup will be fine until Wave 15. Upon reaching Wave 15, make sure your two Archers are Levels 4 and 5. This will take you to Wave 18, where you will need to place a Time Mage directly to the right of the plant in the top left of the map. You will also need to place a Black Mage right next to your Soldiers, then place another Time Mage under your Thief in the bottom right. Place a White Monk directly next to that Thief as well. Put a Black Mage right under your new White Monk. Level up both Time Mages to Level 4, both Black Mages to Level 5, and your White Monk to Level 4. This will be good enough to get you up to the Boss. -Boss: Vrtra- Level up your White Monk to Level 6, your Level 4 Archer to Level 5, and your Soldiers to Level 6. This boss shouldn't be a problem at all. -Waves 21-29- You're good until Wave 24. Once you've made it there, make an Archer at the bottom left corner of that square in the top right corner of the map where your other Archer is. Now place another Archer just above where your other Archer is, the vertical strip in the middle. Level all of your Black Mages and Archers up to 6. When Wave 26 comes, make a Black Mage right under your Time Mage in the upper left. Make another Black Mage under your other Time Mage in the bottom right. Promptly level all of your Black Mages up to Level 7. This will take you to Wave 28. Level both of your Soldiers up to 7, then level 3 of your Archers up to Level 7. For Wave 29, make sure all of your Archers are Level 7, then level up your White Monk to Level 7. -Boss: Ifrit, Carbuncle, Unicorn- You're actually good! You need to do nothing at all! Congratulations! You've just beaten Orchise Snowfield! Time for Advanced! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= CD-7 .Orchise Snowfields (Adv). Here it is, the last map of W1. This one's got two entrances AND two exits, so your mistakes will be that much more obvious. It seems complex, but it's not that bad. Let's get started. -Waves 1-9- Place a Soldier at the bottom of the vertical strip in the middle of the map. Now place another Soldier at the top of the L-shaped strip in the bottom right. As soon as possible, place a Thief right next to your Soldier in the bottom right. For Wave 3, level up this Soldier to level 2. For Wave 4, level him up to 3, and level your other Soldier to 2. Now give your other Soldier a Thief; place him a tiny bit above and to the left of the Soldier. This setup will take you to Wave 8, where you'll need to make sure both of your Soldiers are at Level 3. For Wave 9, place an Archer at the bottom right corner of the small rectangle in the middle and level her up to Level 3. Now place another Archer at the bottom left corner of the rectangle in the top right and level her up to Level 4. -Boss: Nagaraja- Make sure both of your Archers and Soldiers are Level 4, then level up the Thief next to your bottom right Soldier to Level 2. -Waves 11-19- Your current setup will take you to Wave 13. Before starting Wave 13, make a Level 2 Thief in the middle of the very bottom strip in the middle of the map. This will be fine until Wave 15, where you'll need to level up your top right Archer to Level 5. Now, you'll be good until Wave 17. Before Wave 17, level up your Thief in the middle right of the map to Level 3. In preparation for Wave 18, place a Time Mage at the bottom right corner of the square with the plant in the top left of the map. Place another Time Mage at the joint of the L-shaped strip where two of your Thieves are located. Level both Time Mages up to Level 4. Now level up the Thief that's just above the last Time Mage that you placed up to Level 3. Level up both of your Archers and Soldiers to 6, then level up your Thief at the top to Level 2. This will take you to the Boss. -Boss: Vrtra- Start off by placing a Black Mage directly under or above your Time Mage in the upper left. Now place another Black Mage right above your lowest Thief. Level both of these Black Mages up to 6. -Waves 21-29- Your current setup will last until Wave 24. Once you're at Wave 24, level up both of your Archers to Level 7, along with both of your Black Mages. This will keep you safe until Wave 26. For Wave 26, you'll need to place two Black Mages. Place the first one just below the plant on the middle rectangle, and place the second right above your Archer in the top right corner of the map. Next, place a Time Mage in the top right corner of that rectangle with the plant where you just placed that Black Mage. Make sure every single Black Mage you have is at Level 7, and also make sure that all of your Time Mages are Level 4. For Wave 27, level up both of your Soldiers to Level 7. Wave 28 does not require any changes whatsoever, and neither does 29, so it's Boss time! -Boss: Ifrit, Carbuncle, Unicorn- Let's get started. Place a Time Mage at the left end of the L-shaped strip at the bottom of the map. Place a Soldier directly under the Time Mage. Now, place another Soldier at the top right corner of the square with the plant in the top left of the map. Place one more Soldier at the bottom part of the L-shaped strip's joint, then start leveling your party up. Level up your new Time Mage to Level 4, then level up your new Soldiers on the left to Level 7. Odds are, you won't have enough Gil to upgrade the new Soldier on the bottom right past Level 5, so at least get him there. If you have more Gil, be safe and get him up to Level 7. Congratulations, you've just cleared the last map of W1! Two sections left! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= CD-8 .Kthili Sands. Welcome to W2! Kthili Sands is an extremely simple map with only one entrance and one exit. Hopefully, you read the Classes and Power Crystals section, cause there are a few new options to choose from in W2. Let's get started. -Waves 1-9- First off, let me preface this by saying that upon completion of this map, you will get the Good Samaritan achievement. This is because we are not using any Thieves. Start off by placing two Soldiers, one directly above the other, on the thin strip in the bottom left portion of the map. To clarify, make sure that they are vertically aligned so that they are taking up the entire width of the strip, and place them at the left edge of the strip, just a little left of the jar, and a little right of the plants on the left. Sheesh. Level one of the Soldiers up to Level 2. When Wave 3 starts, level your other Soldier up to Level 2. At the start of Wave 4, level one of them up to 3. This will take you to Wave 7. Create an Archer at the top of rightmost portion of the strip your Soldiers are on, but make sure she's still on the thin part! This means just a little to the right of the jar. Also, she needs to be on the top of the strip, because we're gonna need to place something else under her (har har). Level her up to Level 4 and you're good. At the start of Wave 9, place a Black Mage directly under your Archer (see?) and level him up to Level 3. Now place a Red Crystal right next to your Archer. -Boss: Nidhogg- Don't change a thing. Seriously! -Waves 11-13- Start off by placing a Yellow Crystal right under your Red Crystal. Now, reverse that Crystal formation for your other Soldiers. By that, I mean just place a Yellow Crystal next to your Soldier on the left that's on the top of the strip. Place a Red Crystal right below it. -Boss: Malboro- Boss at Level 14? Yup. Lucky for you, you're already set. -Waves 15-17- Place another Red Crystal directly to the right of your Soldier on the left so that he has Red Crystals to his right and left. Place a Yellow Crystal right above it, flanking your other Soldier as well. Now place an Archer directly below your leftmost Red Crystal, on a plant. Continue by placing a Soldier directly to the right of your rightmost Red Crystal. Go down one space and right one space and place a Blue Crystal there. To clarify, it should be diagonally down and to the right of your new Soldier. Finally, place a Red Crystal right above your other Red Crystal, the rightmost one. As for your Soldiers on the left, have the top one at Level 4 and the bottom one at Level 3. Now level your Archer in the bottom right up to Level 4, then level your Soldier in the right portion of the map up to Level 3. -Boss: Great Malboro- You're already set up fine, so you don't need to worry. Notice that you've had two boss fights within 3 waves of each other. Yeah, that's it. -Waves 18-19- Start off by placing a Black Mage directly to the right of your rightmost Yellow Crystal. Your Yellow Crystal should have Black Mages to its immediate left and right. Now place a Red Crystal right above your only Blue Crystal, and place a Yellow Crystal directly below that other Yellow Crystal with the Black Mages on its left and right. Following that, place a Red Crystal directly to the left of your Archer in the right portion of the map, then place a Yellow Crystal directly below it. Level your new Black Mage and your Soldier on the bottom of the strip in the lower left corner up to Level 4. -Boss: Gilmunto- Yup, another boss. And yup, you're already prepared. Crazy, huh? -Waves 21-22- We'll begin with Wave 22; no changes need to be made for Wave 21. Place one Red Crystal directly above your Level 3 Soldier, another Red Crystal just to the left of your leftmost Yellow Crystal, and yet another Red crystal just below the one you just placed. Level up your Soldier on the right to Level 6, your Archer on the right to Level 5, make sure both of your Soldiers on the left are Level 6, then level up your Archer on the left to Level 5. Energize your two leftmost Red Crystals and you're done. -Boss: Malboro King- I know what you're thinking: "Let me guess, I'm already prepared." ....Yeah. -Waves 24-28- Start off by placing a Yellow Crystal just below your leftmost Red Crystal on the bottom, then place another Yellow Crystal below that. Follow that up by placing a Red Crystal directly to the right of your new Yellow Crystal, just below your bottom left Archer. Now place a Yellow Crystal just above your two vertically stacked Red Crystals in the right portion of the map. Energize this new Crystal. This will bring you to Wave 26. Place a Red Crystal below your only Blue Crystal, then place a Time Mage just to the left of this new Crystal so that it has a Yellow Crystal to its left and a Red Crystal to its right. Now place a Blue Crystal just below the Time Mage, then place a Yellow Crystal to the left of it and energize it. Place another Blue Crystal to the right of the new Blue Crystal. Finally, level your Time Mage up to Level 4, the Black Mage above it to Level 5, and your Level 3 Black Mage to Level 4. This will take you to Wave 28, where ALL you'll need to do is simply level both of your Soldiers on the left up to Level 7. -Boss: Cassie- ...You guessed it. No, nothing needs to be done in order to prepare for this Boss. -Boss: Shiva, Kirin, Maduin- Finally, a Boss that requires preparation! Place a Time Mage just right of the jar at the top part of the bottom strip, then place a Yellow Crystal directly left of the Time Mage and left of the jar. Place another Yellow Crystal below that one, then place a Blue Crystal just right of the vertical stack of Crystals that runs six crystals high in the right portion of the map. Place an Archer below your new Time Mage, then place a Soldier directly above your rightmost stack of Crystals. Place one more Soldier just to the right of your Red Crystal in the bottom right corner of the map, then level up your Level 6 Soldier to Level 7. Follow this up by leveling up your new Time Mage up to Level 4, energizing your new Yellow Crystals to the left of the jar, leveling your new Archer up to Level 3, then leveling your new Soldier up to Level 2. You shouldn't have much, if any, Gil remaining, so start the wave. As you defeat the Bosses, you'll get Gil. Use this time to stop the wave by hitting X, so that you can level up your Level 5 Archer in the bottom left corner of the map. Level her up to 6, then level up your Level 4 Black Mage to Level 5. Now focus on your Level 2 Archer. Level her up to Level 4, and you're done! Congratulations! You completed a difficult map without using any Thieves at all! Enjoy the achievement and know that from now on, we'll be using Thieves again, which should really make things easier. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= CD-9 .Kthili Sands (Adv). The Advanced version of Kthili Sands looks just like the normal version, except it is actually going to be easier since we're using Thieves. -Waves 1-9- Start off by placing a Soldier on the bottom right of the strip with the jar on it. To clarify, place him as far to the right as you can while keeping him on the thin part of the strip. Also make sure he is on the bottom of the strip. After Wave 1, place another Soldier above him. In the middle of Wave 2, once you reach 50 Gil, place a Thief directly left of your Soldier on the top part of the strip. After Wave 2, level up both of your Soldiers to Level 2. In preparation for Wave 4, level up your bottom Soldier to Level 3. Before Wave 5, level your Thief up to Level 2. This will take you to Wave 7, where you'll need to place a Yellow Crystal diagonally down and to the right from your Level 3 Soldier. Make sure it is as close as possible to the Soldier. Now place a Black Mage directly under it, then place a Red Crystal directly under the Black Mage. Finally, level the Black Mage up to Level 4. For Wave 8, level up your Level 2 Soldier and your Thief to Level 3. After the wave, level your Thief up to Level 4. -Boss: Nidhogg- Start off by placing a Red Crystal directly under your Thief. Follow that up by placing a Yellow Crystal just to the right of your top Soldier, placing another Red Crystal next to your lowest Red Crystal, then leveling both of your Soldiers up to Level 4. -Waves 11-13- Start off by placing a Blue Crystal next to your leftmost Red Crystal, then place another Blue Crystal above it. Now place a Thief around where your lowest Red Crystals are. Place him as far to the right as possible while making sure that he is one space from the bottom. Place a Black Mage next to your other Black Mage, then energize both the Yellow Crystal next to your Level 4 Black Mage and the Yellow Crystal above it. Level up your new Thief to Level 2 and your new Black Mage to Level 3. For Wave 12, place an Archer above your new Black Mage, then place a Red Crystal above the Archer. Level the Archer up to Level 4 along with your Level 3 Black Mage. This will hold until Wave 14. -Boss: Malboro- This isn't so bad. Just level up both of your Soldiers to Level 5. -Waves 15-16- Start off by placing a Time Mage just above your highest Yellow Crystal. Place a Red Crystal directly above the Time Mage. Next, place a Yellow Crystal just above your Archer. Level up your Time Mage to Level 4, then energize your new Yellow Crystal. For Wave 16, energize your highest Red Crystal, then level up your leftmost Black Mage and your Archer to Level 5. -Boss: Great Malboro- Level up both of your Black Mages once so that the one on the left is Level 6 and the one next to him is Level 5. That's it! -Waves 18-19- Start off by leveling your Level 6 Black Mage up to Level 7. For Wave 19, level your other Black Mage up to Level 7. -Boss: Gilmunto- Er...level up your Archer to Level 6. I apologize if you were expecting more. -Waves 21-22- Level your Archer and both of your Soldiers up to Level 7. This will take you to Wave 23, where you'll have a Boss to deal with. -Boss: Malboro King- You have to do absolutely nothing, yet again! -Waves 24-29- Start off by placing an Archer next to your Black Mage and placing a Red Crystal above her. Next, place a Yellow Crystal under the Archer. Level the Archer up to Level 7, then energize both the new Yellow and Red Crystals that you just placed. This will hold until Wave 26. For Wave 26, place a Black Mage just above your highest Yellow Crystal and level him up to Level 7. Before Wave 27, place a Soldier directly above your highest Red Crystal, then place another Red Crystal right next to him. Level up the new Soldier to Level 7 and you're good. For Wave 28, place a Yellow Crystal above your newest Soldier, then place another Yellow Crystal next to it. Following that, place yet another Yellow Crystal next to your Archer, then place one final Yellow Crystal one space diagonally northwest (that's up and to the left, for those of you with no compass skills). Place a Soldier to the left of your newest Yellow Crystal, then place a Red Crystal directly next to your Thief. Follow that up by placing another Red Crystal next to your lowest Yellow Crystal, leveling up your Soldier to Level 7, then finishing it off by energizing your newest Red Crystal. Whew. -Boss: Cassie- A horde of Cassies appears! Oh no, what to do! Absolutely nothing. -Boss: Shiva, Kirin, Maduin- Start off by placing two Time Mages above and below your Thief. Place a Yellow Crystal next to your Time Mage on the bottom and energize it, then energize the Red Crystal above it. Level up both of your new Time Mages to Level 4 and you're done! Congratulations, you've beaten both versions of Kthili Sands! This marks our halfway point through the game! Only two W2 maps remain, but there are still four W3 maps as well, so let's continue. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= CD-10 Melby Point Melby Point is a pretty nice looking map, and it's relatively simple. This isn't a hard map to beat by any means, so let's begin. -Waves 1-9- Start off by placing a Soldier in the top left portion of the map. Where, exactly? Place him at the bottom right end of the thin strip that stems from that piece of land with the plant on it. Before Wave 2, place a Thief next to your Soldier. During Wave 2, place a Black Mage at the top right of the thin strip that comes from the bottom of the map as soon as you get 8 Gil. For Wave 3, level up your Soldier to Level 2. Before Wave 4, place an Archer at the leftmost part of the sorta T-shaped platform located in the right portion of the map. Also make sure the Archer is on the lowest part of the horizontal strip. I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE VERTICAL PART OF THE PLATFORM. Okay, hopefully you understood that. Level your Black Mage up to Level 2. Once you get 50 Gil during Wave 4, level your Thief up to Level 2. Before Wave 6, level him up to Level 3. For Wave 7, level your Archer up to Level 3 as well. Upon reaching Wave 8, level your Soldier up to Level 3. For Wave 9, you'll need to level your Soldier and Thief up to Level 4 and your Black Mage up to Level 3. Finally, level your Archer up to Level 4 as soon as you get 50 Gil. -Boss: Nidhogg- Do nothing! Hooray. -Waves 11-13- Start off by leveling your Soldier and Archer up to Level 5. This will take you to Wave 12. Place a Time Mage next to your Black Mage, then place a Red Crystal above your Soldier. Place another Red Crystal next to the one you just placed, then level up your Soldier to Level 6. Finish by leveling up your new Time Mage to Level 2. This will take you to the Boss. -Boss: Malboro- Again, you're already set. Nothing to do here. -Waves 15-16- Level your Time Mage up to Level 3, your Black Mage up to Level 5, and your Archer up to Level 6. This will hold until the next Boss. -Boss: Great Malboro- Simply level up your Soldier up to Level 7. -Waves 18-19- Nothing needs to be done, so get ready for another Boss...... -Boss: Gilmunto- ....so you can still do nothing. -Waves 21-22- You're fine until Wave 22. When that hits, place a Soldier above your Archer, then place two Red Crystals above your rightmost Red Crystal so that you have three Red Crystals stacked above your Soldier. Follow that up by placing a Yellow Crystal next to your new highest Red Crystal, then place a Soldier under it (the Yellow Crystal). Place an Archer above your Yellow Crystal, then start leveling your party members up. Start off by leveling up your Time Mage up to Level 4, then level your rightmost Archer up to Level 7. Continue by leveling your Soldier above that Archer up to Level 7 as well, then level up your new Archer to Level 5. Level your new Soldier up to Level 7 and you're good. Again, make sure that all of your Soldiers are Level 7. -Boss: Malboro King- Nothing needs to be done. Yup, you're all good. -Waves 24-28- Start off by placing a Red Crystal next to your rightmost Soldier, then place a Black Mage under it. Follow that up by placing another Red Crystal next to your new Black Mage, then place another Red Crystal above that one. Level both of your Black Mages up to Level 7 and you're good. This will take you to Wave 26. Before it begins, place a Red Crystal just below your lowest Black Mage, then place a Soldier next to your Level 5 Archer and place another Red Crystal next to him. Place yet another Red Crystal above your new Soldier, then once again place a Red Crystal, this time, next to the one you just placed. Place one FINAL Red Crystal next to your Level 5 Archer, then place a Time Mage above it. Place a Yellow Crystal above the Time Mage, then place a Blue Crystal just left of that. Continue by placing another Yellow Crystal just above your leftmost Red Crystal. Place one last Yellow Crystal directly below your rightmost Red Crystal, then start to level up your party members. Level up your Level 5 Archer to Level 7 and your Level 1 Time Mage to Level 4. That will take you to Wave 28. For Wave 28, place an Archer next to your Red Crystal in the top right portion of the map (the one that's adjacent to another Red Crystal). Place another Archer just below her, then place a Soldier at the top left corner of the thin strip with the plant in the top right portion of the map. Place another Soldier below him, then place two Red Crystals, one next to each new Soldier. Level all of these new Soldiers and Archers up to Level 7. -Boss: Cassie- Just like the last time we faced a horde of Cassies, nothing needs to be done. -Boss: Shiva, Kirin, Maduin- Place a Thief about three spaces to the right of your second highest Red Crystal if you want to increase your score. If you REALLY want to increase your score, level this Thief up to Level 4. No combat modifications are necessary. Congratulations! Only one more map left in W2! We're rapidly approaching the conclusion of this section, so don't get used to the current setup. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= CD-11 Melby Point (Adv) The Advanced version of Melby Point is much harder than the original Melby Point. In fact, this is not a Perfect strategy this time =( EDIT: This Melby Point is not that much harder than the original Melby Point, AND I now have a Perfect strat for it! Also, note that I copied and pasted my Melby Point strategy from before for the first 22 waves. This is because both Melby Point and Melby Point (Adv) have the exact same strategy for the first 22 waves! Enjoy the Perfect! When that hits, place a Soldier above your Archer, then place a Red Crystal above your rightmost Red Crystal so that you have two Red Crystals stacked above your Soldier. Follow that up by placing another Soldier next to your newest Red Crystal. Next, place two Red Crystals: one next to your Archer, then another one above it, next to your Soldier. Continue by placing an Archer in the top left corner of the map. More specifically, at the bottom right corner of the rock located in the top left corner of the map. Make sure she is as close as possible to the rock, then place a Red Crystal to her right. Now, start leveling your party members up. Start off by leveling up your Time Mage up to Level 4, then level your rightmost Archer up to Level 7. Continue by leveling your Soldier above that Archer up to Level 7 as well, along with your new Archer. Level your new Soldier up to Level 7 and you're good. Again, make sure that all of your Soldiers are Level 7. -Boss: Malboro King- Nothing needs to be done! -Waves 24-28- Start off by placing a Black Mage next to the Red Crystal just right of your rightmost Archer. Sorry, that's the best way I can say it. Next, place a Red Crystal below him and to the right of him. Level up all of your Black Mages to Level 7 and you're done. You're good until Wave 26, where you'll need to place a Red Crystal directly under your lowest Black Mage, then place a Soldier just above your highest Red Crystal. Continue by placing a Red Crystal to his left and then another above him. Place a Time Mage next to your newest Red Crystal, then place a Yellow Crystal above it. Moving on, place a Blue Crystal just left of your new Yellow Crystal, then place another Yellow Crystal above your rightmost Black Mage. Absolutely nothing needs to be done for Wave 27. For Wave 28, start off by placing a Red Crystal next to your highest Archer, then place another Red Crystal down and one space to the right from it. Next to this new Red Crystal on the left, place a Soldier, then place another Red Crystal to his left. Continue by placing a Yellow Crystal next to the one above your new Soldier, then place a Soldier at the top left corner of the thin island at the top right corner of the screen. Place another Soldier below him, then place a Red Crystal next to each of the new Soldiers. Moving forward, place an Archer next to your rightmost Yellow Crystal, then place another Yellow Crystal to the right of her. See that Red Crystal underneath your newest Archer? Well, place another Archer under it, then place a Yellow Crystal to her right. Next, place a Red Crystal above that Yellow Crystal, then place another Yellow Crystal above THAT! Damn. Now, the leveling begins! Long story short, make sure all of your Soldiers are Level 7, along with all of your Archers. Whew. To the Bosses! -Boss: Cassie- Do nothing! -Boss: Shiva, Kirin, Maduin- Not much to do here. Simply place an Archer next to your rightmost Red Crystal, then place another Red Crystal above her. Level her up to Level 7 and you're done! Congratulations! You beat the last map of W2! EDIT: This is now a Perfect strategy, after way too much work. Enjoy, and thanks for reading. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= CD-12 Ruins of Delgantua Welcome to W3! Here we resume our recurring theme of Perfect strats, so let's begin! Ruins of Delgantua is an interesting map in that its two entrances are very far apart, and when they finally do join together, you get an incredible spot to place your units. Notice how much space there is! This may be W3, but this is still an extremely easy map with a lot of points up for grabs. -Waves 1-9- Begin by placing a Berserker at the end of the highest path in the map. As in, follow the enemy entrance at the top of the map down to its intersection, then move one space left and place your Berserker there. Also, make sure that you're placing him in the space with the two rocks, as in under the path, not next to it. For Wave 2, place a Black Mage one space down and left from the lowest rock in the map, making sure he is as far to the left as possible. After Wave 2, place a Thief below your Berserker and two spaces to the left. Follow that up by leveling your Black Mage up to Level 2. Once you reach Wave 4, you'll notice something interesting. Your newest enemy, the Zombie, gradually recovers HP. Well, let's see how well they regen. Place another Berserker just below your first one, right next to your Thief. Continue by placing a Yellow Crystal just right of this new Berserker. Level up both of your Berserkers to Level 2 and you're good. For Wave 5, level your Thief up to Level 2. In preparation for Wave 6, place a Red Crystal just below your Black Mage, level that Black Mage up to Level 3, then level your lower Berserker up to Level 3 as well. For Wave 7, place a Red Crystal next to your higher Berserker. All you need to do for Wave 8 is level your Thief up to Level 3. Finally, for Wave 9, level up your Thief to Level 4, then level up your Berserker to Level 3. -Boss: Nagaraja- Seems familiar, right? But wait, there's more! He now resists those pesky Physical Attacks! Start off by placing a Yellow Crystal above your Thief, then place another Yellow Crystal just above your Black Mage. Level your lowest Berserker up to Level 4 and this Boss is done. -Waves 11-14- Your current setup will take you to Wave 12, where you'll need to place a Thief in line with your lower Berserker, but far to the right. I'll explain. See the corner of the path to the right, the one that loops around the rock in the top right portion of the map? Well, align your Thief with the right edge of the path. Again, make sure he is also in line horizontally with your lower Berserker. That took so long to explain. Anyway, continue by placing a Red Crystal next to your lowest Red Crystal. Next, place a Yellow Crystal above this new Red Crystal. Level up your new Thief to Level 4, then level your Black Mage up to Level 4. Finish it off by energizing the Yellow Crystal next to your lowest Berserker. For Wave 13, level your Level 3 Berserker up to Level 4. Before Wave 14, place a Red Crystal next to the Yellow Crystal that's in line with your lowest Berserker and energize it. -Boss: Malboro- Here, you'll not only be facing Malboros, you'll be facing Chocobos, which can heal enemies. Start off by placing a Hunter next to your lowest Yellow Crystal, then place a Yellow Crystal below it and a Red Crystal above it. Level your new Hunter up to Level 3 and you're good. -Waves 16-19- Start off by leveling your Hunter up to Level 4, which will take you to Wave 20, the Boss. -Boss: Zahak- Begin by placing a Blue Crystal just left of your Thief, then place a Black Mage to the left of this new Blue Crystal. Next, place a Time Mage above the Blue Crystal, then place a Yellow Crystal on the Time Mage's right. Level up both of your Black Mages to Level 5, then level up your new Time Mage to Level 4. Finish by energizing your new Yellow Crystal. -Waves 21-22- Nothing needs to be done until Wave 22. Start off by placing a Red Crystal next to your leftmost Thief, then place a Yellow Crystal directly above this new Red Crystal. Now, place a Berserker just right of your highest Red Crystal. Energize both of your new Crystals, then level up all of your Berserkers to Level 7. Energize the Yellow Crystal above your lowest Black Mage, then level your Hunter up to Level 5. -Boss: Great Malboro & Cassie- Nothing needs to be done! -Waves 24-28- Start off by placing a Time Mage next to your leftmost Red Crystal, then place a Hunter above it. Next, place another Red Crystal next to your Time Mage, then place a Yellow Crystal above it. Level up both of your Hunters to Level 7, your new Time Mage to Level 4, and finally, energize the Yellow Crystal above your leftmost Thief. This will hold until Wave 26. For Wave 26, simply level up your Black Mages to Level 7. Nothing needs to be done for Wave 27, so let's move on to Wave 28. Place a Hunter just left of your rightmost Time Mage and level her up to Level 7. Continue by energizing the Red Crystal a few spaces left of your new Hunter, energizing the Red Crystal above your other Hunter, then energizing the only Blue Crystal you have. -Boss: Cassie- Again? Yup. Do nothing. -Boss: Kirin, Ramuh, Carbuncle, Phoenix- Start off by placing a Time Mage next to your rightmost Thief, then place a Yellow Crystal above it. Place another Time Mage next to your leftmost Red Crystal, then place a Hunter above it. Place a Red Crystal next to this Time Mage, then place a Yellow Crystal above it, next to your new Hunter. Energize the Yellow Crystal above your rightmost Time Mage, then level up your new Hunter to Level 7. Finish the map by leveling all of your Time Mages up to Level 7. Congratulations, you beat your first W3 map! Only 3 maps left in the game! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= CD-13 Ruins of Delgantua (Adv) Ruins of Delgantua (Adv) is just like the original (Adv versions always are), but it includes obstacles that interfere with the original strat. It's harder, but it's still not that bad. Wave 28 is the hardest wave of this map. -Waves 1-9- Place a Berserker in the bottom left corner of the map, 4 spaces left of the left path all the way at the bottom. Place another Berserker vertically in line with him so that your Berserkers are taking up the whole height of the land. Level the top one to Level 2. For Wave 2, level your other Berserker up to Level 2. After Wave 2, place a Black Mage so that it's covering the entire rock located in the bottom center portion of the map. For Wave 4, place a Hunter under your Black Mage, then place a Yellow Crystal left of the Hunter. Make sure all of your party members are Level 2 at this point. Once Wave 5 hits, place a Yellow Crystal just right of your highest Berserker. All you need to do for Wave 6 is just level your Black Mage and Hunter up to Level 3. What you'll need to do for Wave 7 is place another Yellow Crystal under your leftmost Yellow Crystal, then place a Red Crystal above your rightmost Yellow Crystal. Level both of your Berserkers to Level 3 once Wave 8 hits, and as for Wave 9, place a Thief in line with your leftmost Yellow Crystals, but place him at the bottom of the piece of land above the Crystals, right next to the rock. Place a Blue Crystal below him and you're good. -Boss: Nagaraja- Place two Red Crystals next to your Berserkers; one next to each Berserker. Finish by leveling your highest Berserker up to Level 4. -Waves 11-14- Level your Thief up to Level 3. For Wave 12, place a Red Crystal next to your Black Mage and a Yellow Crystal next to your Hunter. Level them both up to Level 4 and you're done with that wave. For Wave 13, place a Thief in the same spot you put it last map, aligned with the right edge of the rightmost path in the map; make sure he's aligned with your other Thief. Place a Blue Crystal next to him as well. This will take you to the Boss. -Boss: Malboro- Here, place a Blue Crystal above your rightmost Thief, then place another Blue Crystal to the left of it. Continue by placing a Yellow Crystal directly under your Hunter, then place another Hunter to the left of this new Crystal. Place a Red Crystal under the new Yellow Crystal as well, then level your rightmost Thief up to Level 3, your other Thief up to Level 4, and your new Hunter up to Level 4 too. -Waves 16-19- Begin by leveling up your rightmost Thief to Level 4, then placing a Red Crystal below your lowest Hunter. For Wave 17, level up your Black Mage to Level 5. Once Wave 18 hits, level your Berserkers up to Level 5. For Wave 19, place a Black Mage above the Red Crystal located directly left of your only other Black Mage. Place a Yellow Crystal just above this new Black Mage; to the left of the Yellow Crystal, place another Yellow Crystal. To the right of the Yellow Crystal, place a Red Crystal. Finally, make sure that both of your Black Mages are Level 5. -Boss: Zahak- Start off by placing a Black Mage above your new highest Yellow Crystal (the one above your newest Black Mage). Follow that up by placing a Time Mage to the left of this new Black Mage and level it up to Level 2. To the right of your new Black Mage, place a Red Crystal. Level your two highest Black Mages to Level 6, and leave your lowest Black Mage at Level 5. -Waves 21-22- Level your Time Mage up to Level 4 and level your lowest Black Mage to Level 5 for Wave 21. For Wave 22, you'll need to place Berserkers in between your Red and Blue Crystals located in the middle of the map. Level them both up to Level 6 and place a Yellow Crystal below them. Energize this Yellow Crystal, then level all of your Berserkers up to Level 6. -Boss: Great Malboro & Cassie- Nothing needs to be done! -Waves 24-28- For Wave 24, simply level both of your Hunters up to Level 6. This setup will hold until Wave 27, where you'll need to level all of your Berserkers up to Level 7. Now, prepare yourself for the most difficult wave of the map: Wave 28. This wave has annoying regenerating things that resist magic and can only be damaged by your Black Mages and Hunters; your Hunters will do much more damage. Let's begin. Place a Hunter next to your lowest Yellow Crystal, then place a Red Crystal below her. Now, place a Time Mage above your leftmost Thief, then place a Hunter to its left. Left of that Hunter is where you'll need to place a Red Crystal, and under that, another Red Crystal! Level up all of your Hunters to Level 7, then look at your three bottommost Red Crystals. See them? Well, leave the one in the middle alone and energize the other two. And with that, you're done. -Boss: Cassie- Again? Yup. Do nothing. -Boss: Kirin, Ramuh, Carbuncle, Phoenix- Nothing needs to be done, again! Congratulations, you beat your second W3 map! Only two maps left and you've beaten the entire game! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= CD-14 Zellea Zellea is the last map in the game. I mean, technically, it's Zellea (Adv), but they look similar, so this is basically the last map you'll be looking at. -Waves 1-9- Start off by placing a Berserker in the piece of land above the platform with the rock in the bottom left corner of the map. In here, place him in line with the right edge of the vertical path to the right of the rock. Place him so that the top right corner of the path with the rock is touching the bottom left part of the Berserker. I hope that was clear, it's the best I can do. Once Wave 2 hits, place another Berserker directly below him. When Wave 3 starts, place a Black Mage one space below your lowest Berserker and then four spaces to the right. Next, place a Thief just left of your higher Berserker. Proceed to level your new Black Mage up to Level 2. For Wave 4, place a Yellow Crystal next to your lower Berserker. Continue by leveling both of your Berserkers up to Level 2. For Wave 5, just level your Thief up to Level 2. All that needs to be done for Wave 6 is to place a Red Crystal directly to the right of your Black Mage, then level that Black Mage up to Level 3. For Wave 7, you'll need to place a Yellow Crystal under your first Yellow Crystal. This will take you to the Boss. -Boss: Nagaraja- Start off by placing a Red Crystal above your highest Yellow Crystal, then level your Berserkers up to Level 3. Finish it off by leveling your Thief and Black Mage up to Level 4. -Waves 11-14- Your current setup will take you to Wave 12. Here, you'll need to place a Red Crystal below your lowest Berserker and energize it, then place another Red Crystal above your lowest Red Crystal. Finally, level your Black Mage up to Level 5. This will take you to Wave 14, where you'll just need to level your Berserkers up to Level 4. -Boss: Malboro- Nothing needs to be done! -Waves 16-19- Start off by leveling your Black Mage up to Level 6, then energizing your highest Red Crystal. Finally, place a Red Crystal just above your Black Mage. This will take you to the Boss. -Boss: Zahak- Simply level your Black Mage up to Level 7 and you're good! -Waves 21-22- Nothing needs to be done for Wave 21, so let's move on to Wave 22. Here, place a Red Crystal above your highest Berserker, then place two more Red Crystals, one on each side of your new Red Crystal. Finally, level both of your Berserkers up to Level 7. -Boss: Great Malboro & Cassie- Once again, nothing needs to be done! -Waves 24-28- For Wave 24, we've got a lot of work to do. Place a Blue Crystal next to your Thief, then place a Hunter above it. Place a Red Crystal next to your Hunter, then place two more Red Crystals, one above and below that one. Next, place two more Hunters next to your rightmost Red Crystals; one next to each Crystal. Follow that up by placing two more Red Crystals next to your newest Hunters; again, one next to each Hunter. Level up all of your Hunters to Level 7 and you are done. Wave 26 is a little tougher, what with the immunity to Physical Attacks and all. Start off by placing another Red Crystal to the left of the Red Crystal that's next to your Blue Crystal. Above your new Red Crystal, place a Black Mage. Above that, place a Yellow Crystal. Level your Black Mage up to Level 7 and you're good. This will take you to Wave 28. For Wave 28, simply repeat the pattern of the Red Crystals-Hunters you have on the right. Once you have seven Hunters with 900 Attack Power each in total, you've beaten the map. -Boss: Cassie- You're already done! -Boss: Kirin, Ramuh, Carbuncle, Phoenix- Once again, you're good. Just watch. Congratulations, you beat yet another W3 map! Only one map left! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= CD-15 Zellea (Adv) Here we are; it's the end of the game. After this map, you'll have Perfected every map in Crystal Defenders, which will probably mean that you won't come back to it ever again. So enjoy what will likely be your last defense here at Zellea (Adv). The strategy differs from the original a lot, so get ready. -Waves 1-9- Start off by placing a Berserker in line with the vertical path in the middle of the map. To be more precise, see that rock in the center of the map? Look below it, at the tile on the path there. Place the Berserker so that he's touching the bottom edge of the tile, again, making sure that he's aligned with that rock in the center. For Wave 2, place another Berserker below your first one, then place a Black Mage above both Berserkers. To elaborate, align him with the rock that's to the right of your Berserkers, then place him on the top edge of the path above it. For Wave 3, place a Thief left of your highest Berserker, then level your Black Mage up to Level 2. Once Wave 4 hits, place a Yellow Crystal just right of your highest Berserker, then level both of your Berserkers up to Level 2. This will take you to Wave 6. Place a Yellow Crystal just right of your Black Mage, then level him up to Level 3. For Wave 7, just place a Red Crystal to the left of your Black Mage. Once you reach Wave 8, place another Yellow Crystal just below your lowest Yellow Crystal, then level both of your Berserkers to Level 3. Just level your Thief up to Level 3 for Wave 9; this will take you to the Boss. -Boss: Nagaraja- Place a Red Crystal under your Thief, then level up both of your Berserkers to Level 4. -Waves 11-14- Simply level your Thief up to Level 4, then move on to Wave 12. Here, place a Hunter above your Black Mage, then place a Yellow Crystal to the Hunter's right and a Red Crystal to her left (just like with your Black Mage). Now, place another Red Crystal under your lowest Red Crystal, then place a Hunter under it and place another Hunter next to her. Continue by placing Yellow Crystals below each Hunter, then place a Red Crystal above the leftmost one. Finally, level all of your Hunters to Level 3 except the one next to your leftmost Hunter; level her up to Level 4. This will bring you to Wave 14. Here, level your highest Berserker up to Level 5. -Boss: Malboro- You're already good here, nothing needs to be done. -Waves 16-19- For Wave 16, just make sure that all of your Archers are Level 4. Once you hit Wave 17, you'll need to level your Black Mage up to Level 4. This will take you to the Boss. -Boss: Zahak- Start off by placing a Yellow Crystal next to your Thief, then place a Black Mage under this Crystal. Level this Black Mage up to Level 6, then level your other Black Mage up to Level 7. -Waves 21-22- For Wave 21, all you need to do is place two Thieves, both in the thin vertical strip with the rock in the bottom left corner. One at the top left corner, one at the bottom right corner. Level them both up to Level 4 and you're good. For Wave 22, level both of your Berserkers up to Level 7, then energize the Yellow Crystal next to your Thief. -Boss: Great Malboro & Cassie- You're already good here. -Waves 24-28- Start off by energizing the Red Crystal next to your lower Berserker, then level all of your Hunters up to Level 7. For Wave 25, place a Black Mage next to the Red Crystal just under your highest Red Crystal. Now, you see that tiny piece of land near the exit at the bottom of the map? Place a Thief in the top right corner of the land there. Level him up to Level 4, then level all of your Black Mages up to Level 7. This will take you to the most challenging wave in the game, Wave 28. Here, you'll need to place a Hunter next to your rightmost Yellow Crystal, then place a Red Crystal to her right. Place another Hunter above your new Hunter, then place another Red Crystal next to her. Now place another Hunter to the right of the Yellow Crystal that's next to your highest Berserker. Next, place a Red Crystal under her, then place a Yellow Crystal above your Black Mage in the middle of the map. Continue by placing a Time Mage a few spaces left of that Black Mage that you just placed the Yellow Crystal above, in the corner. Make sure it is aligned with the Black Mage horizontally. Now place a Yellow Crystal to its right, a Blue Crystal above it, and another Yellow Crystal to the right of the Blue Crystal. Next, place a Hunter next to your rightmost Red Crystal, aligned with your Black Mages. Place a Yellow Crystal next to her, then place another Yellow Crystal above that. Place a Red Crystal above her, and then it's time to level everyone up. Absolutely all of your units should be at their max levels. You're done! -Boss: Cassie- You're already done, again! -Boss: Kirin, Ramuh, Carbuncle, Phoenix- And you can just watch. Congratulations, you just perfected all 12 maps in Crystal Defenders! It was a lot of fun writing this, so thanks for bearing with me, again, sorry about the whole day late thing, but at least it's done. Thanks for reading! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
