Hi,
I am experiencing an issue with running the trainer since the last update.
The game is running just fine, without the trainer.
I have all antivirus disabled (win defender aswell), I run the trainer as admin.
Then as soon as it is loaded up, I start steam and then the game.
I get the Vermintide 2 Launcher, and press play. Then I receive this:
Application Error 0xc0000142 - Application wont start.
I click on OK and I get:
Untrusted system file (Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries\dinput8.dll)
How can I fix this? The trainer has worked really well so far.

i'm having the same issue. i can get into game by deleting the said file, but the trainer no longer works.
run trainer, select root game folder, DO NOT run the game, close the trainer.
This should reset everything.
run the game once without the trainer to make sure it runs fine with no errors.
then close the game.
wait 30 seconds.
run the trainer, select root game folder, NOW run the game, then press F1 for trainer activation once you see your character that you can select.
Most of this stuff is outlined in the .txt files that came with the trainer.
