If I use the trainer for cash in single player, and then use that character for online, will that have any negative effect on the character?

no but if you use anything on the trainer while online it messes you up.. cant go to menu cant kill mobs other wierd glitches but ya giveyourself cash offline then go online its perfectly fine just turn trainer off b4 u go online
