you can also have Multiple quirks, i even added in combat mana regen (which is a beast trait). although they dont seem to stack with other mana regen (theres 5)

so far though you can only have one history type, which is fine.

You can also mod the faction to have "all" of the positive and no negative mods. really makes things fun.

If you have a special unit (say a knight) you can also mod its stats, although ya cant seem to make em use magic..prob just missed a line or something. Nothing like having an archer with 500 hp and an att/def of 1000

edit: ive noticed that the AI loves to keep up to speed so if your main toon is way up on the specs, your opponents are too. i just battled another faction, its lead had 10k hp. Its prob a good idea to use the trainer, or mod a unit instead of the main char lol.

I tried to edit the mana regen line in the C:\..mygames\elemental\units\sovereign.xml file. I edited and saved my changes but there does not seem to be an effect, even when i start a new game or campaign. Any ideas on why my changes are not taking effect?

You have to delete or move "Data.zip" and rebuild it.
You can start the game without Data.zip, but it will take a long time to load every time.
Rebuild it by using this command:

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\Elemental\Elemental.exe" createxmlbinary

or whatever the path to your executable is. This will rebuild your data.zip with your changes.
