I have the game so if you need any executables or anything send me a pm and I'll give you the files you need.
There's no one that has got a genuine release before the 24th - not reviewers, not stores, no one (except for perhaps Steam server personnel, who'd doubtless be sacked quick as hell should they leak anything). If you'd have any insight into how Steam as a company and the Steam server parks works you'd know this. (Same thing with EVERY Steam release for quite a while back.)
And for the record - the Australian release date is August 26th.

Ever heard of early builds? It's often (to say the least) not the final version of a game sent out to reviewers.
Of course, it's theoretically possible that you have a contact within Steam who provides you with the retail copy - although somehow I doubt that.
I'm not trying to question your methods of getting games - that's up to you. But as the trainer apparently works for "cracked" releases of the game (no, I'm not going to link you to forums proving it - you all know how to use Google, right?) - which uses an altered demo/beta executable - this adds to the unlikeliness of a retail release.
But as I said - I only doubt the authencity of a copy getting out to a complete non-related site (reviewers is one thing, trainer makers a whole 'nother story) and especially of a game distributed solely by Steam - which requires the decryption of essential game files to work. These are only released on the corresponding release dates to customers in respective countries. Just saying.

Fair enough - yes, in some cases review copies are retail versions sent out a few days early. It's not uncommon for game companies to give earlier builds to reviewers though. (Happens quite often - these are sometimes released into the P2P ether - whereas true scene groups always use (or should use, according to their underworld rules) retail copies or leaks of them.)
Nevermind - I was trying to push the issue harder than you might; even if *you* have a genuine copy, doesn't mean anyone else does, with the possible exception of reviewers, (since the release date hasn't been reached yet) - if you want to take a stand, avoid releasing trainers for a game that is not yet officially released. That's the only thing that caught my attention.
While perhaps not hypocritical per se, it's still smells a little fishy - and it's not like customers of the game will mind, since they wont have the game til' release anyway.
Take care guys.
As a footnote - the reviews mentioned (even if posted in the PC section - the Xbox 360 and PC version of Mafia 2 is virtually identical, for example.) can be based on X360 or PS3 releases, which follow a different cycle. (Since they're rarely online distributed only.)
