    Ok this is the problem.

    I have 2 forms when I have button that has the close code in it, it only closes the form that the button was on how do I make a close all function that will close both form 1 and form 2.

    Me.Close
    Form2.Close

    Maybe something like that

    me.close just closes one form and form2.close does nothing. any other ideas thanks for trying anyway

    for some reason when I enterned form1.close() it close both forms odd so you were half-way there thanks
