Japanese dynasty suffered from dissension by war-time crisis. Political schism and financial inflation were growing to strangle the concept of war it self. Even without A-bomb Japan wasn't unified enough to withstand. Large amount of Japanese GDP were swallowed by military industries. As for this tandem marathon of war Japan didn't have a chance.
Usage of A-bomb was a politically deterrent answer to Soviet counter part but over the cost of Japanese.
US had to be globally unanimous winner to firm it steps for the new era it was planning for.
