I only cross my 7s because when i'm writing in a hurry it's difficult to tell the difference between my 7s and 1s..bad times

I don't. If you can't tell it's a 7 then you need to learn to read different styles of text, it helps
Besides, a 7 with a line through it looks like a capital F in some 'fancy' handwriting.
