I got invited to join like seven groups or be friends with people or whatever on Steam. None I've ever heard of.

I keep getting random friend and group requests.

It's annoying.

I have 43 invites and more incoming. Just let them pile up for a month.

I don't have any...

My only friend on Steam is Tmh. I'm total loser on there.

I don't even really play any games for which groups would be a benefit.

I would, but you need to buy a game off Steam in order to add people, and I haven't. We can just pretends we're friends though.

You don't need to BUY one, just have one distributed through Steam itself. Thus, get Alien Swarm until you can buy Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 and TF2, and you're set.
