Shogun 2: Total War Message Board  

man i want this game i read the description on steam i heard u can be able to make clans for the multiplayer online and i have to get a new hard drive to play this only have 19 GB left and id love to see a 1900 version i know theres enough WW2 games but ive lacked to see a game that has a campaign map and a battlefield, thats what ive liked about total war a battlefield and a campaign map

I wouldn't even bother with the original. It was good for it's time, but a very rough (but good) start for Total War series!

I'm not sure how WW1 and on for Total War series would work or be handeled. Diffinently would love for them to redo Rome & Viking Expansion to the original Medieval TW!!!

I would love to see China: Total War, set during one of the several reunification periods, or perhaps Genghis Khan: Total War tracing the movement of his armies from eastern Asia around the Indian subcontinent and through Persia to the Holy Land. \o/

There's loads of war in history that isn't well-covered by games.

If you go to the Total War Center website you can find all types of mods there. There is a Shogun Mod for Rome which is actually quite good. They are also in the process of making a shogun2 mod for MTW2Kingdoms. Stainless Steel mod is awesome as well, I could go on forever with all the mods there are so look for yourself and determine if it's worth your time.

medieval 3 sounds better

anything past the 1900's would be totally differant then the current total war series, I don't even konw how they could do trench warfare and have armies just lined up on borders. WW II MIGHT be feasable but it would have to be a HUGE battlefield with arty in the back and numberous battalions over a map of MILES. not to mention planes and numberous other things, know there is a LoTR mod, but a actual TW game would be sick, the BEST mod or actual game would a "The Wheel of Time" one, its mostly middle ages, with little big of hard stuff to program, BUT numberous nations, and whole world already laid out. Gotta admit that would be number one game that I would be looking forward to, Or total war game with starships and such would take the series to a whole new level with ships able to move up and down and such like homeworld 2. Getting ahead of myself.

I wish when the Medieval III or Shogun III is being released. We can play as the general, i mean we can both control the army and fight as the general ( like Mount and Blade's style)
