I have version 1.13 of Diablo 2. I googled it and so far, all I've found are things called editors. Are they the same thing as trainers?

I downloaded an editor and I don't know how to use it. The problem is, I don't know where the character files (*.d2s files) are saved so I cannot open my character and edit his stats.

Thanks, but I found the it.

I also got the editor to work! It's pretty cool.

So I was thinking of reinstalling this and giving it a go again. However, when I played this eight or nine years ago the editor seemed to the game near the end. I was so miffed that I did not even bother starting over. Perhaps it was just a fluke, but it may be worth your while to look into conflicts with the editor. Forums were not nearly as prevalent when I played Diablo II initially, so I had the files with no feedback on them whatsoever... this would seem downright foolish these days. Still have the files though... unless they have been updated that is.
That is the smartest thing I have ever heard anyone say about anything.
