Arcanum of Steamworks and Magick Obscura is easily one of the best classic RPGs of the early 2000's.
Morality system, Tech vs. Magick alignment system, and nigh infinite amounts of replay value due to the different character types and races that limit and buff certain play styles.
You can be a human jack of all trades with no significant background, or you can be a human Tech Specialist who is an Idiot Savant, allowing much easier time with Tech based skills but obviously incurring penalties to Charisma and what quests are available. Or even a half-orc or half-ogre numbskull who uses various big-ass swords. =P
Yo.

You should definitely try The Witcher ( and get the Enhanced Edition ). With most of the bugs fixed , it's actually a pretty good RPG

How does a MMORPG sound? Good I hear you say?
I would suggest Guild Wars, it's very time consuming and entertaining and you meet people on the way. Well worth your time.
