As with the first game TSearch or a similar program (CoSMOS or such.) can be used to search for various values and alter them, for example altering gold, stat and attribute points where no problem and XP, health, mana shouldn't be a issue either, start the program (I use TSearch as it's a bit simpler.) start the game (Easiest to run it windowed) and then open the game EXE with TSearch (It has a inbuilt help tutorial to better understand the options.) click the spyglass to search for a value (Default options of 4-bit works just fine for most values.) and then search for it, spend stat points or lose health or something to alter said value then click the button next to it with the ... symbols and search for the altered value, should be one or two values left after two or three searches so just double click on that and then change the value and it'll be altered directly, can also be used to freeze the value but this isn't always working and if the address changes you need to search for it again so it's easier just to increase it to something very high.
(Easiest to alter the chargen values and then gold values, should manage most of the game just fine that way.)

Hey LordJB, The TSearch works excellent I started, by raising all my stats and attributes at the beginning in character editor, and then when I started the game I gave myself 999,999,999 in gold. And it was easy to do too with that program. Thanks.

Nice to hear that it worked, will hopefully help until a trainer is created for the game, it's a bit basic but it usually works OK in several titles still although more recent games tend to have more dynamic address ranges (Or how it's called.) and probably other tricks as well (LIVE uses a form of protection for example which can crash the title if something is detected.) so it's not always reliable, still tend to work nicely for simpler stuff like gold or attribute/skill points.
(Freezing health or mana or similar is possible but in RPG's these values tend to change when leveling up and might tie to other stuff so it's not always working.)

I tried using a memory editor to get more skill&ability points like I did in Eschalon Book 1, however upon saving and loading the game I discovered that my stats dropped to 4!!!!

The game has some sort of a built-in anti-cheat mechanism that needs to be overcome.

EDIT: Nevermind. It seems that the situation is different than I originally thought. After some experimentation, I have found that there is no anti-cheat mechanism. Simply, as opposed to the previous game, this one uses a different variable length (and therefore size capacity) for the attributes. They cannot go over 255, if they do, they get reduced.

Now I need a character editor to fix this mistake. :P

Tpek, I am playing Eschalon Book 2 as well and I have not experienced the save issue you are talking about. I have all my attributes at 350 and they load and save with no problems. I did notice though that all my stats would lower when I would level up, but this was easily correctable. Since the leveling up would open the character editor, I simply let TSearch freeze the add points to 99. Then I could put my stats back to 350 or whatever. Then after saving they were there the next time I loaded the game. I guess the simple way around this is to set your attributes to as high as you want and then don't level up anymore, as there is probably no reason to do so anyway.

Tpek, You were right. I had not checked my stats after going over 250 and loading a saved game. What I said above will still fix the issue, if you want higher stats and want to edit after each leveling up or as you discovered reloading a save.
