This is pretty much the reason as to why most people don't buy used 360s. The fact that people can think they don't have to mention something so crucial is astounding to me.
It's like people who buy cars sight-unseen on Craig's List and then go to get it and find out that it's a piece of crap.
Cant see why there is a convo over this, selling goods without full information and receiving money for it is essentially fraud.
Selling one without telling people the full story, is screaming court case, and can affect your credit rating when it does go through the court. Also would mean paying back the money, expenses, and a black mark to your name.
Like I said before it is your own fault, you tried to cheat the online score system to get ahead, initially blaming your friend first, so now you have a machine that can still play single player games but not allowed online.
You can however get another network card fitted to the 360 so you have a new MAC address.

But then if it red rings then Microsoft won't fix it cause it will void the warranty when he opens it up.
Meh..
Look at this way, he was bad enough to cheat the system, now he would even go as far as conning some poor person out of cash.
As far as im concerned that is scum actions.
Hey why stop there, once someone buys the console why not goto the address they give you and rob the fecking place.
Ok that was a slight over reaction, and how do you know they would be poor, with the price I would have put on it no way could they be poor, joking, but I know it would have been kind of sad and in your words "scum actions" but I didn't really want your opinion about what I have done in the past and I dont really think its any of your business, I just wanted to know if I had to put down that it was banned and by the way, thanks for the idea about that MAC address, I think I might try that one.
