Previously i posted how much trouble i was having downloading certain files after flushing cache , disabling anti viri , doing everything listed on the pages covered by this topic , changing ip did not help , nothing worked

For anyone who has had same issue , check these two things
resident viri protection running even though your specific software has shut down AND for me , your router firewall for whatever reason may have flagged the specific file and hence blocked it ! something ive never encountered but now now about ... Also explains why other machines with other OS' couldnt download file lol .

check those two and hopefully you wont waste hours like me wondering what the in the hell is going on ...

We PWizard tries to tell this to so many people. You'd think that eventually users would learn to do that first before making those "OMG CAN'T DOWNLOAD TRAINER HELP PLZ" topics but you'd be surprised.

yes but simply telling some one to disable or turn off AV isnt enough sometimes ... your average user wouldnt peruse his list of whats running in task manager and look for obscure references to AV. Nor would many think perhaps hardware firewall is stopping a single file when all others come through . I just hope someone who is stuck like i was checks this forum and sees this and its saves them a few hours ... Just trying to be helpful

i got a rather abrupt reply to a previous request , it only inspired me to look harder into the problem ... google was NO help lol
