Price:360 is cheaper but you do get what you pay for

Performance: PS3 has way better performance

Visual Quality: PS3 has better graphics quality,especially when hooked up to HD

Game Selection: 360 has selection for people who like only M rated games. PS3 on the other hand has a wide selection for every gaming style.

Online Support: From personal experience I have had a better online multiplayer experience on the PS3 than I ever did on 360

Overall: PS3 takes the win with better everything except for the price. But again I say, you get what you pay for.

Pretty much any point about graphics is moot. Most people agree that the PS3 and 360 produce visuals that are almost identical. In fact, the consoles are almost identical in every respect. The prices are similar, and they both have their fair share of exclusives. There is no discernible difference between the online communities, both contain their share of 8-year olds and fanboys.

The only real deciding factor is whether your friends have the 360 or the PS3. Once you've chosen based on that, it doesn't really matter which one you have.

Of course, if you have the budget for it, getting both is always an option.

I think the problem is Sony's sheer dominance over the gaming industry, mainly their PS's. I'd go with the 360, but in popularity, the PS3 will win. Just like in the last generation, if I ask someone what they want, a PS2 or an Xbox, they'd go with the PS2 since the Xbox is unheard here.

But in power, there is no difference, unless you are a hardcore gamer who wants everything to be perfect.

that's a very simplistic view my friend. when it comes down to performance the PS3 does not have 'way better performance' as u put it. its close sure...but definitely not 'way better'. if u pay attention to actual game developers and not the angry fanboyz, u will learn that the PS3 does not have more graphics power than the 360. the XBox360's Xenos GPU has far more computing power than the RSX GPU of the PS3. does that mean 'way better' performance..i don't know about that.but its close.

Who said the 360 is cheaper?

If you got a 360 and got accessories to match up to the PS3 in terms of additions, it costs more than a PS3.

To me the 360 is more the FPS console, now and again you get something different, FFXIII etc. But its Halo this Halo That, Gears of War this Gears of War that. You get the idea :P

the real problem as i see it is that up until Killzone 2..there were hardly any games that truly made the PS3 flex its muscles. i have Killzone 2 and it really looks amazing. there's no clear cut winner as far as performance is concerned.

for sure it can be said that neither of the 2 consoles is way ahead or way better than either of them. its close. if u took just the consoles..then 360 is cheaper than the PS3. i personally prefer the 360 when it comes to game titles.

Killzone2 made it flex it's muscles don't make me giggle...It didn't even use half of the power thats there, most developers haven't tapped into that full potential yet, the director for GOW3 said they didn't even use 50% of it's power for it..

but back on topic... It depends where they have more friends XBL or PSN... but If you want it for just gaming, then yeah go for the 360!! If your looking for a little more then gaming go Ps3 that way you don't have to shell out extra money for all the add on stuff for 360.

what about that the kid thinks "My mum bought me a PS3 so she loves me cuz she spends more money than she needed to buy a 360"
