Don't send Garrus, Grunt or Zaeed as an escort because they're tanks. When it comes down to holding the line to prevent the collectors from coming through the door, these 3 are needed to be there to protect the rest. If any one of these 3 are missing, then Mordin will be the character chosen by the AI to die, him being the least able to defend that position.

GAMES DON'T BEAT ME . I BEAT GAMES.

i had this very early play-through where mordin did die as part of the team that says that a quick exit is preferable. but after, as said in my previous post, 14 straight play-through's nobody dies. *whew* and i have 14 save games now with various combinations and romances and other stuff. its going to be interesting to see how all that actually affects the outcome in ME3.
