Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Message Board  

hello there I am currently in need of help I recently purchased call of duty modern warfare 2 for PC the install went in just fine as well the game plays just fine as well the multiplayer plays just fine for a few days then it crashes as soon as you start up the game and goes to a black screen as I open up my taskbar it lists call of duty modern warfare 2 as "not responding". I would have to uninstall and reinstall both single player and multiplayer and steam in order for me to play the game on single player or multiplayer.

I do not think it is my hardware as I believe I surpass the minimum system requirements that is needed for the game to play. I have a AMD Athlon X2 4400+ and 3G of DDR2 Ram, and ATI Radeon 2600XT. and directx 10 but I think it is either my software for my graphics card is out at the or the software for my windows Vista.

Is there a patch I need from steam for call of duty modern warfare 2 or is it something else?.... please help as I can not find anything relating to my problem on any other gaming sites and read.

you played with XP or VISTA?? xp have problem with multiplayer mode!Try vista direct-x 10(pixel shader4-recommended)
