Why don't they just search the passengers the old fashioned way?
Personally, the technology of the scanners are good, especially for security, but using it in a lewd manner just makes it look bad.

I read about this, in my opinion there will always be people who take advantage or will do this sort of stuff. There's no real way to stop it.
Also if you have actually seen pictures from these machines then you can't see much detail. The worker was just some immature man who got excited over the idea of a naked real life woman.

If you're talking about the same machine that I'm thinking of, I've seen what the pictures it takes look like, they're completely white with no detail at all. Like Jedi said, that man was just immature.

Funny, we spoke about this in class the other day.
They're taking it overboard with these things, which are supposedly ment to "protect us" Paedophiles, rapists, perverts all get a kick out of this, how is that protection?
As long as this technology exists and is enforced, there will always be some idiot who abuses it.

Although it could go against human rights, they wont be taken out as they are for our 'protection'. In my opinion these are just a waste of money, money should be put into developing a better method of searching or something worth while.
Oh well at least we are safe for another day...

I've seen pictures of the scanner. They black and white and they blur out the "inappropriate areas" as well as the face. The guy didn't see anything if she went through the scanner. The images are not kept, either. They're deleted right after the security workers examine them.

I can't really say much about this without knowing precisely what the guy said. As has been said before, the scanners don't reveal much detail. What he said could have been a joke for all we know.
