Man, I supported the Earth hour and I didn't even know it didn't make a difference to the environment.

Guess the fun thing's I didn't do it alone.
-Just one kiss took away my breathe,-
-And you drew me in with your tenderness,-
-You captivate my soul, I'm enraptured.-
-And you knocked me out, and you locked me up,-
-You stole my heart like a thief in love,-
-You hold me tight in our happy ever after,-
    -I'm captured.-

    At least everyone took part.
Although I went mad for a whole hour.
    Without the internet, I'm nothing.

But still, thinking that I'm helping the environment counts for something, plus I could actually see the stars.

I liked the myspace gas protests; "Don't buy gas on this day, and anticipate not buying gas on this day by buying it the day before."

    Exactly, it almost seems pointless.

And for Earth Hour I watched Yes Man and played a little bit of WoW.

To be fair there's not that many better things you could have used that electricity doing.

I was a supporter of Earth Hour a time ago, but a little more studies into Physics and a better sense of perspective in relation to how the world works has changed my mind.

We may have reduced carbon emissions by 1% last night but we've sure as hell made up for that now.

It's almost hypocritical for the reasons Dhampy's already mentioned. Unless power stations worldwide shut down, it makes no sense whatsoever. A byproduct of the [largely fallable] influence of Al Gore... or any other active eco-mentalist.

Those are beyond pointless. Do they even think before coming up with an idea like that? So no one buys gas for a day, the gas stations will just make all that money back the next day. They know we literally can't do anything without the gas, if you don't buy it one day you will buy it another day.
